Aloha Owl Party Details:

This is what Brianna said about planning the party- ”I designed this Aloha Owl theme recently for the daughter of a family friend. The party was to be held on an Island Pavilion, and the parent’s of the birthday girl wanted to incorporate owls & the beach into the party, but didn’t know how to tie the two together. I came up with the idea of a “Lu-Owl” theme & they loved it! The adorable little hula owl was paired with polka dots and chevrons in hot pink orange, yellow, lime green, and Caribbean blue.

The pavilion was named “Giulianna’s Tiki Nest” and was filled with the food and drink tables as well as a small candy buffet and dessert. For the candy table, a hot pink grass table skirt was used to give a fun, girly touch instead of traditional natural colored grass skirts. The custom Tiki Nest sign was created by painting a store bough tiki sign and removing the decorations that it came with. I then added a custom designed sign that I had printed at a local photo finisher. Clear glass apothecary jars were adorned with ribbon and round tags. The 3 tier cake was designed by a friend of the family. Cute owl fondant toppers were added to sugar cookies. Chocolate covered oreos were also served.

The party favors were kept simple, because most of the guests were small toddlers and young children. Leis were passed out to each guest, and a small DIY photo frame was given to each child. A store bought owl piñata was filled with treats for the older kids, but I redesigned portions to coordinate with the theme. Guests also took home items from the candy buffet.

As with many rented spaces, tacks and nails were not allowed, so the decorations were kept simple as well. Balloons were used throughout the space. Bright paper lanterns were secured with twine around stone pillars, and pennants were attached to tables only. The surroundings were beautiful and were kept as the main visual focus through out”.
