BANANA SPLIT PARTY DETAILS:

Lydia said this about planning the party- “If you are looking for a fun, affordable, and easy party idea, hosting a Banana Split Party is just perfect! Gather friends together and let them build their own banana splits! The extra bit of fun with this idea is that you can place the banana splits down the center of the table to create one really long banana split! The kids will love it!

I wanted the create the illusion of one continuous banana split, and so I used Yellow Baking Loaf Pans from the KPI party shop! I placed each loaf pan on a whimsical rectangular plate and then lined them up right down the middle of the table. It also creates the perfect centerpiece!

To decorate the table, I layered and layered colors and patterns using fabric, plates, and napkins. I hung matching honeycomb balls above the table and placed them under the table.

Anders Ruff created the printable collection to match the party- we used a banner to spell SUMMER, straw flags on party picks to label each guest’s banana split, and table tents to label the toppings.

The toppings were provided by Breyers Ice Cream Toppings. I placed the toppings in mini ice cream cones and tied the cones with a ribbon. The cones made the perfect serving pieces for the toppings- the kids could choose what they liked and sprinkle them on top! Syrups were also from Breyers and were served from repurposed lemonade bottles that were wrapped with bottle labels from Anders Ruff.

If you find yourself needing extra chairs, use 5-gallon buckets from the hardware store…turn them over and cover loosely with a cute fabric square! Instant, affordable seating!

Banana Shaped favor boxes from Piggy Bank Parties are the perfect way to send your guests home with a little something from the party! I added a favor tag from Anders Ruff, and the banana favor boxes were ready!

Turn your next neighborhood party or playdate into an extra-special get together- and let the kids build the longest banana split they’ve ever seen! Enoy!”
