I just love this original take on the typical pirate party….this CHEVRON AND BURLAP PIRATE THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Jenna Sefkow of¬†Hackberry Adventures¬†couldn’t be cuter!

Jenna said- “My 3 year old son loves EVERYTHING Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so it was pretty easy to choose a pirate birthday theme this year! Most of what you see almost happened by accident. All paper goods were purchased from Archivers. I searched high and low for a standard blue and white stripe patterned paper to use for the sails on the invite. However, I couldn’t find anything available around me, and this blue/teal chevron patterned paper is the closet thing I could find at Archivers—and thus, the pirate/teal/yellow/chevron/burlap theme was born. I added in the burlap elements to add a more “rustic” feel and for it to not look too girly/modern for a boy’s pirate party.

The invitations were handmade by myself (and a friend) using the Silhouette Cameo machine as were all the signs, letters, and flag for the cake. The Cake was also baked and decorated by me (a 10+ hour labor of love!). The cupcakes were baked and decorated by me and the cupcake wrappers and toppers were also cut using the Silhouette Cameo machine. Chevron cotton fabric was purchased from fabric.com and the table runners and large sails were sewed by myself (and a friend) as well.

Party favors included M&M’s, a Jake pirate cup, eye patch, party blower, stickers, tattoos, and coloring sheet print outs from the official DisneyJunior.com site. Babies that were in attendance received a handmade headband and handmade bib! (since stickers and tattoos don’t mix well with little ones!).”

Loved this party! The ship table for the kids was the best and it was SO much fun and even cuter in person And now I know what a Chevron pattern is;). Awesome job Jenna!!

I love your Bucky cake! Question: Where did you get the golden skull emblem at? I’m looking for everything Jake for Big D’s 3rd birthday in May! (I’m trying to get a head start) Thanks!
