This fabulous HARRY POTTER WIZARD THEMED SIXTH BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Rachel Johnson of Creative Little Stars. For those of you who are looking for great Harry Potter party ideas, look no further than this party! Rachel did a wonderful job!
Rachel said this about planning the party- “We had so much fun creating this 6th birthday Wizard party. The venue we chose was the local park, which was surrounded by owl pictures and figurines. The party was complete with a specially erected spell room of which birthday Wizard Ryan had exclusive access to practice his wizardry powers!
The party guests sat down to a super-natural feast prepared by Ryan’s Grandma. The menu included jelly brains, and was topped off by a deathly delicious Grave Yard Cake. Harry Potter music filled the ears of Ryan’s 20 friends, which really added to the ambiance of the day. Ryan’s Mum ensured the scene was set by providing a smoke machine, making the children feel like they were at Hogwarts and also dressing up like a witch. Mosman party Hire supplied a handful of the children’s costumes to make sure they really got into character.
We added further finishing touches by including printable stationery and a printable Wizard Game collection, available on our website.”

All of you Harry Potter fans out there are going to love this HARRY POTTER THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Katelyn Meekel of Events by Kate!
Katelyn said- “This collection of items makes up my “Harry Potter Inspired Party”…This party was designed and tailored for a young lady named “Maddy” & she loves Harry Potter. I designed “Every Flavor Beans”, “Half Blood Prince Potion Books” where each child is free to print their name, as well as “Deathly Dark Chocolate” for all the sweets lovers! “Anything off the trolley?” I also created potion bottle labels and liquid luck containers for the kid’s games. They must make up a concoction of magical beverages to make the best potion in the class, while keeping track of their thoughts and ingredients in their notebooks! Everyone also receives their own golden snitch! I love Harry Potter, and I hope you all enjoy the wonderful wizarding printables that can be found in my shop!”

This HARRY POTTER BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Jennifer Turpen of The Brilliant Crafty Type is just full of fun ideas!
Jennifer said- “My daughter decided on a Harry Potter party theme last year, so I had plenty of time to prepare. So, I planned and crafted for months {some of the tutorials are included on my blog}.
A lot of the party guests were not Harry Potter connoisseurs so they may not have fully understood what everything meant. But they definitely appreciated the party!
What isn’t to love about magic wands, adorable felt pin-on ties, chocolate frogs and jelly beans?
And every one likes a good burger – perhaps you’d like to try a “Malfoy” {burger with swiss} or a “Weasley” {cheddar instead} or maybe you are more of a “Herwieney” fan.
I had a ton of fun with the details. I think in party planning the details are what it’s all about.
I also think in party planning you have to be prepared for something to just not quite meet your expectations {like my food display at The Three Broomsticks}. Just have to let it go and appreciate the rest!”
I thought this HARRY POTTER + MAKE A WISH PARTY by Emily of Spaghetti Arms was also fitting for teacher appreciation week. After all, Harry spent most of his time being taught and schooled, right?!
This party is wonderful. Emily did such a good job, and for such a great cause, too.
I know that a lot of people have been looking for great Harry Potter birthday party ideas, as well. So here you go!
This is what Emily had to say about the party- “Styling creative parties is a huge hobby of mine, and I am beyond excited to share this party with you! Last weekend, I had the honor and privilege of helping with a very special event for an even more special young lady.
Make A Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Milla, a seriously cool fifteen-year-old, is about six months into the two-year recovery process after a battle with leukemia. She has faced so much in her young life, and through it all, she has been inspired and cheered by the Harry Potter books. Her wish was to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando.
When Make A Wish grants a wish, they like to have a “wish party” to give the honored child the official news. The folks at Nashville’s beloved Parnassus Books hosted Milla’s wish party, and the beautiful bookstore proved to be the perfect setting for all of the Potter paraphernalia. Two of my biggest loves are parties and Harry Potter, so I went a little nuts!
Let’s just jump right into the photos, graciously provided by the talented Niki Cardwell of Stella Dolce Photography!”

This MAGIC THEMED 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Meredith Santucci of MJ Paperie is so much fun. I have a good friend who is planning a magic themed birthday party right now, she is going to love this! So many great ideas. I’m sure little Johnny loved his party.
Here is what Meredith said about the party- “My son, Johnny is every bit of THREE and has quite a magical imagination. The theme selection ultimately came from a play on the letter 3, thus evolving into “3 is the magic number” (on the invitation) and then the magic theme altogether.
(DECOR) For decor, we decided to forego the “rabbit in a hat” but used other magic-related props like cards, wands, capes and hats. The wands were carried from the head table place settings (napkin wraps) to the dessert table (“magic wand” chocolate covered pretzel rods.) Hats sat as small centerpieces to the other tables (and on kids’ heads!) as well as on each cupcake with the sweets. We sewed magic capes for each child who attended and embroidered their names on the backs, serving as “chair covers.” The kids really played into the theme w/ the hats, capes and wands! The background fabrics (red and black dots) we loved! It allowed us to brighten them up with the yellow that we used on the invitation and really tied all of the colors together nicely. The favor boxes matched the black and white polka dot table cloths and served as the perfect finishing touch as all of the guests left (inside they each got black and white winter gloves, plus toys, candy and other trinkets!) The paper products all coordinated with yellow and white stripes from the invitation, to the door sign (“Knock 3 times to enter”) to the food tent cards to the napkin and favor box charms to the cake topper and straw flags.
(FOOD) For food we served Italian as the main course (“magical meatballs,” “charmed chicken parm,” and “hocus pocus pasta!”) For the dessert table (the main focus), we made the cupcakes with custom designed cupcake bands and top-hat toppers. The top hat cake came from Indulgence Bakery and oreo cookies made up the “Tricky Tower.” On the right end of the table we served “optical illusions” which were cherry jell-o and cool whip layered treats. In the back of the table, we fanned the “magic wands” (mentioned above) out of a tall pedestal vase to complete the look!
