Jenny said this about planning the party- “I was so excited and honored to plan and host a baby shower for my sister, Nicole, who is having her first baby. Nicole came up with the theme of the party, Shake, Rattle and Roll and I created the images to fit each of the words in the theme- a bottle, rattle and carriage. I tried to use the shake, rattle and roll idea in all parts of the party. We settled on an icy blue, silver and white color scheme. Since Nicole is the writer of a fashion blog, I wanted the shower to be feminine, sophisticated and modern just like her fashion tastes.

DECORATIONS Lots of 36 inch white balloons tied with silver and blue tassels, which I made out of ribbons and a metallic fringe door curtain found at Party City, framed the yard. Under the welcome sign was a bench with shake, rattle and roll pillows made by our mom. This is where the guest posed for pictures with the Nicole. The shower was set to be outside but real showers made lots of last minute adjustments necessary.

DRINKS We used Nicole’s changing table to create the “Bottles” station where guests could pick from a variety of sparkling waters, Ready to Pop Soda, champagne and lemonade. Wine glasses had mini charms tied on with bakers twine. Rock candy sticks with mini pacifiers that had been spray-painted silver complimented the champagne glasses and all water bottles and soda bottle were personalized. A Bottle Bucket was also filled with additional drinks.

LUNCH The “cravings” table was filled with all of Nicole’s favorite things. Guest dined on baby sandwiches, brussel sprout, roasted beet, couscous and dried berries or cornucopia salads, fresh fruit and a veggie frittata.

SWEET TREATS For the dessert table, I enlarged the images from the invitation and mounted them in silver frames. The centerpiece was a banana cake, the mommy-to-be’s favorite, decorated in a chevron pattern to match the printables. Of course, we had shakes, rattles (cake pops) and rolls (cupcakes which were gluten free for some guests). For the shake bottles, I used my Cameo Silhouette machine to cut vinyl decals. Other sweet treats included shake, rattle and roll sugar cookies custom made by Lizy B. Bakes, white chocolate mousse in mini baby food jars and boy oh boy chocolate bars.

We also had a candy station with blue and white gumballs layered in a chevron pattern (inspired by Paiges of Style), sixlets, taffy, yogurt pretzels, blue and white star marshmallows, and sour patch kids (the mommy to be’s favorite) in mini bitty bags sealed with mini clothespins. Guests were given midnight feeding boxes to fill with treats.

ACTIVITIES As the guests arrived, they were asked to sign a baby book for the baby. They also added a suggestion for the parents to be to the name wreath. At each place setting was a card asking the guest to “rattle of some advice for the mommy and baby to be.”

FAVORS Friends took home boxes of mini chocolate kisses with shake, rattle and roll stickers on the bottom and tags thanking them for rolling by.

The printables were all created in the soft icy blue, white and silver color scheme with chevron and mini dots patterns. All party printables including invitation, banner, food labels, activity signs, water bottles and more are available in my store.”

Burlap and Lace Wedding Dessert Table

My next winning party feature goes to this gorgeous BURLAP AND LACE WEDDING DESSERT TABLE by Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies. Oh my goodness…I think I’ve seen a little piece of heaven. This dessert station is absolutely beautiful. I adore the vintage goodness. And the lace, oh, it’s just perfect. From the old suitcases to the coffee filter poms to the burlap rosette flower on the cake…it is all just stunning.
This is what Jenny said about her dessert bar- “Every time I put a dessert table together I think to myself, this one is one of my favorites. Then the next table comes along and I think the same thing. They can’t all be my favorite, but this particular burlap and lace table I did for a recent wedding ranks pretty high on the list.”

Little Guy In A Tie Baby Blessing Party

Here is the LITTLE GUY IN A TIE BABY BLESSING PARTY I planned for our newest addition. It was a wonderful day, and a perfect way to celebrate our new baby and his baby blessing. I know that Easton wont remember any of this and didn’t even know what was going on, but he will have these pictures…and he will know how much his mama and everyone else loved him.
I went with a very light color pallet. Everything was white, really light green and really light blue. The dessert/sweets table was set up on a vintage dresser {that I painted white}. I used white and clear cake stands, platters and plates. I also incorporated eyelet into the mix. The printables {tags, labels, toppers, invite, banner, etc} were ordered from the sweet Kori of Paper And Pigtails. She was wonderful to work with and customized everything. This party could easily be a Christening party, a Baptism party, a baby shower, a 1st birthday party and more.

Cupcakes purchased from Dippidee.
The beautiful cake was made by Jen of Sweeten Your Day. She is so very talented. I told her how I wanted the cake and she spread her wings. It turned out just how I envisioned it.
The delicious cake bites were ordered from Isabelly’s.
Name blocks purchased at Hobby Lobby {I painted them white}.
I ordered cupcake mix favor boxes from Favor Box Bakery. They were absolutely adorable.
Green and blue paper straws available to purchase here.
This gorgeous customized tablecloth was made byPots And Pins. Nan makes tablecloths to match your party theme. I emailed her my invite and she matched it perfectly. My jaw literally dropped when I opened the package and saw the tablecloth for the first time. Amazing.
I served all the food in gable boxes {available to purchase here} and tied hand stamped wooden utensils onto each box.
The menu consisted of Chicken Salad Croissants, Grapes, Pasta Salad, Fruit Kabobs and Baked Pita Chips.
I set up the food on a hutch {matching the vintage dresser}.
The kiddies had separate gable boxes. The menu included Peanut Butter Uncrustables,  Mandarine Oranges, Chips and Apple juice.
Yummy key lime truffles ordered from etsy shop, Truffle Kerfuffle.
The darling tie sugar cookies were ordered from etsy shop, Bee’s Knees Creative.
Homemade marshmallow squares from Oh Yum.
Cute blue favor boxes from here. {Also available in green.}
Inspiration for these darling cupcake toppers came from here.
