This gorgeous SHABBY VINTAGE HIGH TEA BRIDAL SHOWER was submitted by Sandra of 3′s A Party. This tea is so lovely and would be perfect for so many different occasions! I just love all the ideas here.
A few of my favorite elements of this vintage high tea are:
The contrast of the white linen table cloth with the pink ruffles down the center
This LADIES’ VINTAGE HIGH TEA was submitted by Sarah Osmotherly of Sugar Coated Mama in Australia. All of the desserts in this party are absolutely stunning!
Here are some of the best things about this Vintage High Tea:
This is what Sarah said about planning the party- “Every woman loves a beautiful High Tea. It’s an opportunity to indulge in conversation and delectable food with a touch of the femme. When I was asked to organise and style a High Tea for 50 women of all ages, I was super excited as it was my first High Tea. I came up with a vintage inspired theme with a pastel flavour and straight away I started dreaming of pastels in all their varieties. It consumed me and I loved every minute of it! A few of the ladies wanted to bring food for the dessert table, so I selected some lovely homemade treats for them to cook that would fit with the theme, and it worked out so beautifully that it was a sensory overload of magnificence (even though I am prone to exaggeration at times, I really mean it)!! The desserts included everything from Australian lamingtons, caramel & raspberry cheesecakes, butterfly cupcakes, rosewater meringue’s with Persian fairy floss, peppermint crisp cheesecakes for a pop of green, white chocolate coated peanut butter balls (yummo), butterfly cookies hanging beautifully in a cage, Ivory Ruffle Cake with pink gradient mud cake inside, incredible teapot cookies, and so much more. They were all divine. A few of the ladies who helped with the baking are so incredibly talented that I continue to use them for many of my dessert buffets!
For some of the accessories and backdrops, I was lucky enough that a friend of mine was throwing out her old vintage tea sets, curtains (which I used for the backdrop of the main dessert table), sewing sets, doilies, even a cupboard and chairs. I embraced all of this for the styling of the party, and it was perfect! It was a truly beautiful party, which was topped off by an 78 year old lady coming up to me at the end and telling me it was the best day of her life!”
This FIRST BIRTHDAY VINTAGE TEA PARTY was submitted by Lima Limão – Festas com charme from Portugal. This party is definitely full of all things charming and girly!
Here are some of my favorite elements of this vintage chic tea party:
The different sizes and shapes of glassware used to serve and display the desserts
The single pink rose motif used throughout the decor
The invitation wrapped in lacy paper
The lovely white cake adorned with, of course, a single pink rose
and MORE!
Here’s what Lima Limão – Festas com charme said about planning the party- “Carlota is a very famous baby in Portugal. She has her own blog (Carlota’s blog) written by her mother. It’s so popular that Carlota’s mom won the prize of “mom blogger of 2012″. Carlota celebrated her first birthday with a tea party. The style was vintage chic with pink, white and touches of gold as a color palette. We set a tea table with doilies and vintage roses as the main elements. We paid attention to every detail so that this party could have all the necessary charm . Congratulations to Carlota on her 1st Tea Party!! ”

This party is going to make your heart melt. A gorgeous HIGH TEA ON THE BEACH BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Amanda Lamont of Tout Mon Amour was chosen as today’s feature. Who would have thought combining these two themes- a beach party & a tea party- would be so divine. I am in love. The soft colors, the clothes, the mini ruffle cakes for each child, the headbands, the sand, the water….everything is so adorable!
Here is what Amanda said about the party- “We are so fortunate to live in such a gorgeous part of Australia – the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Surrounded by stunning beaches – white sand and crystal blue water, it was the obvious choice when choosing a location for our special high tea party for the girls.
I wanted to create a really magical and memorable day for them, where they felt special and a tiny bit glamorous! They were so excited dressing in their gorgeous dresses and selecting their hair accessories.
We based the colour scheme around the Robert Gordon Liberty tea-set and created a fun yet yummy selection of treats for them to enjoy. The other pedestals used were from the Rosanna Decor Bon Bon range.
The High Tea Selections were:
Pink Marshmallow & Coconut Cake;
Vanilla & Rose Teapot Cookies;
Pink Velvet Cake Pops;
Butterfly & Lace Cupcakes;
Petite Pink Rainbow Cakes;
Rose Petal Fizz;
Strawberry Tea;
They had such a fantastic couple of hours – dining on the delicious food, giggling and sharing secrets under the canopy with their dolls, who were dressed in outfits to match their own, and lastly chasing bubbles on the beach.”

Vesna said….”We are excited to share with you this gorgeous vintage high tea, styled and captured by Niki from Candy Soirees. Niki and I worked on this project collaboratively and wanted to create the perfect birthday party for little Sienna.
We were aiming for a look that is eclectic blend of girly and vintage chic with a touch of whimsy. We chose the colour palette of vintage pink, dove grey and soft lemon which tied in perfectly with my current collection of vintage chic party printables {click on ‘Girl Printables}. It’s the perfect palette for vintage meets shabby chic. Stylistically, we both have a thorough appreciation of shape and colour, and we both share a passion for vintage style.”
Gorgeous party!
Thanks for your submission, Vesna & Niki!
Congratulations on being the winning feature today!
