Ballerina 5th Birthday Party

The gorgeous BALLERINA FIFTH BIRTHDAY PARTY was styled by Amanda and Simone of invite me in Australia. Ballerina parties seem to be so popular right now, but I love that no two are alike. While most of them share the same color scheme (PINK!), each one is full of unique, beautiful ideas.

Here are some of my favorite elements in this ballerina party:
The stunning pink ombre ruffle cake
The stamped mini wooden spoons
The embellished paper party hats
The mini tutu-wearing dress form
and MORE!

This is what Amanda said about planning the party- “My gorgeous Grace turned five and loving ballet as much as she does, it was no surprise she requested a ballet themed birthday. Complete with twirling ribbons, pink ruffles and dancing cupcakes, the celebration was every little ballerina’s dream. A festival of all things pink and pretty, as long as there was lots of sparkle, Grace was always going to love it.

We knew the party had begun when a wave of tulle skirts and ballet slippers engulfed the house. Little ballerinas danced and played with Emma the ballerina who had them enthralled with all manner of ballet antics including pass the parcel, musical statues and musical chairs. After a little exercise, our petite party sat down for some afternoon tea.

The extremely talented Anita from Cake Envy provided the centerpiece of the table – an ombre ruffled cake with an oversized sugar flower and bejeweled centre – and ballerinas nibbled on beautiful ballet biscuits, strawberry mousse, tutu chocolates, ballerina push pops and candy.

Vintage-inspired Lovely Lace pastel pink paper plates and cups tied in perfectly with our ballet theme along with the Beautiful Ballerina printables and customized backdrop bunting designed and created by invite me. For a little extra sparkle we adorned our printable hats, sign and chocolates with ribbon, tulle and flowers from our local craft store. Nothing like a bit of cut and pasting to add that extra shine to your printables range!

Our ballerinas danced and twirled the afternoon away and after our guests left, my Grace turned to me and said. ‘Mummy, this is the best birthday I’ve ever had.’ You can’t beat praise like that.”

Somewhere Over the Rainbow Birthday Party

This adorable SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Christy Bergerson of Itsy Belle!

Christy said- “When the mommy & me playgroup I belong too wanted to do an end of summer party, all kinds of themes were considered. When a rainbow party came up in discussion and we realized we had 7 girls we knew it was perfect! A “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” theme was decided on and each little guest was assigned one Color of the rainbow to represent. Outfits could be put together in their color reflecting their personality.

What’s a party without treats?! Skittles were decided on as the perfect rainbow of sweets and I went to work creating a preschooler perfect dessert table. I was really inspired by the vintage lemonade stands I’ve seen popping up everywhere lately. Some weathered wooden crates created the perfect stand. I purchased fabric in every Color of the rainbow and cut into strips to create the fun fabric banner topping it. A vintage lemonade inspired sign declaring “Rainbows 5¢”, jars with colorful party circles and color coordinating paper fans with each little guests Name, and a candy scoop tag reading “taste the rainbow ” invited each guest to help themselves to some sweets. Plastic bags, Colorful string and thank you rainbow tags were provided for everyone to create their own sweet rainbow favors to take home. The centerpiece of the sweets stand was the fondant & ribbon covered cake, topped with an adorable rainbow pom cake topper created by Deborah of Titi’s Tutus.

The moms wanted to make sure to have a lot of photos of their adorable little rainbow, so a basket attached to balloons was the perfect “photobooth” offering rides to ” Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Each girl got a turn in the basket and it quickly turned into a fun game of knocking the basket over with friend inside! Thankfully it was all in fun and lots of giggling took place!”

Girly Glam Elmo Birthday Party! ‘Tutu Cute’

Today’s wonderful winning party feature goes to this
Tutu Cute Glam Elmo 2nd Birthday Party
submitted by Sweet Craft Cakes!
I just love the girly twist to the traditional Elmo party!
Noelle said…..I began searching online to find inspiration for an Elmo or Sesame Street themed birthday party. But I found myself not feeling inspired by anything, then realized why. My little sweetie is just to glamorous to have a traditional sesame party with primary colors. So this is where it all took off. I thought, why not plan her an out of the box Glam Elmo party!!! Who say’s Elmo can’t be glamorous? I chose black, white, red and damask for my color palette and incorporated tulle through out the party.
In this party post you will find very helpful tutorials,
party ideas and vendors to use for your next celebration!!”

“I wanted my table to appear as if it were a TuTu. I took 10 yards of tulle and scrunched and pinned and scrunched and pinned it to my tablecloth all around the table. Next I added the red sequence ribbon all around the table to hide the pins. Then I added my giant handcrafted fabric flowers.”…Photobucket

“I searched everywhere to find a chandelier cupcake stand to use for my party…I searched in all my local stores to find something that would work, and nothing.
Then one day I decided to go into Beverly’s Outlet shop and walked past a beautiful chandelier candelabra. I was in LOVE! So I bought the last three of them, in hopes to create a masterpiece. I took them all apart and pieced them together and this is what I ended up with. It’s elegant, beautiful, glamorous, and I LOVE it!”Photobucket
