John Deere Tractor Birthday Party

Today’s winning party feature goes to this fun JOHN DEERE TRACTOR BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Chickabug! Abbie {Carter & Copeland’s mama} did all the party styling…and did a superb job! Everything is so cute.

Centerpieces- Abbie started with metal John Deere buckets filled with florist’s foam, then added bunches of faux sunflowers from Hobby Lobby, green and yellow bandannas, and balloons. She used small pieces of dowels to poke the hankies down in the foam.

Food-

Lunch included Chick-fil-A nuggets, fruit salad, chips, pretzels, and of course candy! Abbie served Sour Patch Kids, sixlets, gumballs, sour straws, Reese’s cups, Mike & Ike’s, and Jolly Ranchers, all in yellow and green. She also had custom M&M’s made with the boys’ photos and names on them.

Party favors-

Favor bags included John Deere plastic cups, John Deere popcorn bags, and small plastic farm animals. The bags were wrapped up with green and yellow raffia from Michael’s and a printable favor tag.

Tractor Baby Shower!

time for another winner…. Laura’s TRACTOR BABY SHOWER {http://www.lauralucille.blogspot.com/} now let me tell you, this shower is CA-UTE! every little detail is just adorable. thanks so much for submitting your shower, tara. you worked hard on this party, and it shows. darling. congratulations on winning! here’s laura’s shower…narrated by laura. ……………………………………………………………………………………… { tractor baby shower } last saturday i hosted my good friend lauren’s baby shower at my house. it was an indoor picnic themed party with the main motif being a tractor. i had so much fun planning the party and making all the details. i utilized my print gocco to create the tractor motif on the invitations, favor bags and onesie. here are the highlights. check back later this week for recipes and tutorials. special thanks to my friend heather, who was so kind to take out time on her busy saturday to snap these photos. { the invitations }

i really wanted everyone seated at a table, so i covered several mighty lights with gingham fabric i bought for $1.50/yard.

the flowers came from the mountain behind my house, which perfectly contributed to the flavor of the party.

i don’t care for shiny plastic party utensils, so found these on world centric. made out of cornstarch, the forks, knives and spoons are 100% biodegradable and looked great on the table.

thanks to shannon for the yummy baked beans and lemonade, liz for the delicious fresh fruit and heather for the homemade granola.

this was one of my favorite elements of the party. i covered the table with burlap, hung pennants across the front and placed the basket of granola, beverages, yellow ice cooler and mini milk jug prizes on top.
