This is what Valerie said about planning the party- “I was asked to style a gender neutral baby shower for a Momma-to-be, with the shower date planned for mid-February. Knowing that this is typically just about the WORST weather month of the year in frigid Chicago, we decided to brighten up with the mood with the fun and always cheerful “You Are My Sunshine” theme. It’s gender neutral, cheerful and modern. So fun. As for colors, well…there’s just something neat about yellow and gray together. It’s such a fun, cheerful, modern combination. That was our starting point. The guests were treated to a lovely catered lunch, lemonade , champagne with fresh berries and a table full of delicious sweet treats. It was a lovely, “SUNNY” celebration!”

Sweet and Sunny Lemonade 10th Birthday Party

Ali said- “I styled this birthday party for my 10 year old daughter. We could think of nothing more fun than a SWEET & SUNNY LEMONADE party on a gorgeous summer day! We had a sweet dessert table filled with cake pops, dipped Oreos, french macaroons, plenty of candy and, of course, fresh lemonade. The girls had a blast decorating flip flops and making lemon trees with their fingerprints. A cozy picnic table was set complete with parchment wrapped sandwiches and masons filled with fruit. The decorations added such brightness with stenciled banners, gorgeous printables and plenty of poms, festooning, and paper tissue flowers (found at Kara’s shop)! Bright As The Sun 1st Birthday Party! – Sunshine Party

And now, the cherry on top! This BRIGHT AS THE SUN 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY will surely lighten your day! Wendy Updegraff Photography did it again…these photos are just lovely. I adore the anthropologie inspired invites and wall banner. And how adorable is that fabric sun behind the dessert table? The kid friendly food is just darling {cheerios and milk, doughnuts on a stick, etc}! Oh, and you have to check out the 1st birthday capsule…such a fun idea. Swoon. I hope you enjoy this party as much as I did. Thanks again for your submissions, Wendy! I’ve loved featuring these amazing parties today!
