This is what Erin said about planning the party- “The party details were inspired by a printable party collection I found on Etsy from FlairDesignery. Perhaps my favorite item to create was the birthday banner, which I assembled using double sided tape and ribbon. The cupcakes were a personal favorite, chocolate oreo made by my friend Michelle at Pink Pinwheel Bakery. Glass apothecary jars were filled with red candy to match the party scheme, including Swedish Fish and Twizzlers. Guests sipped Izze Pomegranate Soda with Tall Sally Sodapop Straws from Sweet Lulu. I made white chocolate pretzels and packaged them in Mini Craft Gable Boxes as party favors for the adult guests. All of the kids who attended the party received fun Nautical Favors to complement the party theme. They were reusable canvas totes filled with sailboat bath toys, fish-shaped twisty straws, and blow fish squirt toys.”

Ahoy Baby 1st Birthday Party- Nautical Style

How adorable is this AHOY BABY 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY {NAUTICAL THEMED PARTY} submitted by Julie Hinton of Middle Aisle! I just adore the saying “If you ever want to know how much we love you, count the waves”. Everything is so precious. I hope you get some fun ideas from this sweet party!

Julie said- “In December, our little man took his first trip to the beach in Florida and loved it. So when he was about to turn one, it seemed fitting to bring the beach feel back to him in Southern Utah where we live. Each guest was sent an boarding pass with arrival times, dates, and meal pass. They all had a tare off stub so they could “board” the party. His first birthday was our boy’s first time to have cake. So a sweets table was a necessary. Oreo cupcakes, cake and sugar cookies are the families favorites. Also an ombre cake with shades of blue to celebrate being a little boy. A photo booth was set up on the sofa with props so we could take pictures of all the family and friends who where at the party. For the kids, there were boat races in a kiddie pool, sea creature decorating on sugar cookies and playing in the grass with bubbles.” Credits- Styling and decor: Middle Aisle Photography: One Memory at a Time Party Goods: Paper Straws Bakers Twine Swirl Lollipops

Popeye The Sailor Man Birthday Party

Now this party is going to make you smile. Up next, a POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Sarah of Dreamers Joy Events & Design. Isn’t this fun?! I love the spinach can cake! Such a cute party…
Sarah said– “My sisters and I grew up watching Popeye TheSailorman, so two years ago when it came time to plan my nephew’s firstbirthday party, we immediately jumped at the idea of creating a party that wasuniquely inspired by it. Most of our guests were adults so it was the perfectopportunity to do a theme that everyone would enjoy. Since I still haven’t seenmuch on this theme, I decided to re-create the party theme for this fun partystyled shoot. I used the classic royal blue, red denim blue and incorporatedthe use of yellow to make a fun and bright theme which I thought would beperfect for both a boy’s birthday party or a boy baby shower.
I absolutely loved working on the details ofthis party which included the cute “Spinach Juice” wrapped in ropebottles, the denim backdrop, the mini acrylic containers for the peppermintspuffs and the metal lanterns which held in the “Spinach Can” CakePops. I also created a tablescape to match and used a fishnet as a table runnerand lanterns as centerpieces and made some chair covers out of a starspatterned fabric and tied it with rope which gave a perfect sailor look. Thedesserts consisted of Spinach Cake, Sandwich Cake Bites, Spinach Can Cake Pops,Chocolate Covered Oreos. All of the delicious sweets were made by amazinglytalented vendors.”
