What a fabulous ROCKETS & ROBOTS + SPACE THEMED SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Louise Sanders of SunshineParties! I hope you gain a lot of inspiration and party ideas here!
Louise said this about planning the party- “Send your little boy shooting into the stars with this vintage-inspired Rockets and Robots space-themed party. We created this party theme for my little boy, Thomas – he was turning two!
For the Party Table decor we used mainly blue and orange. The decor consisted of honeycomb paper balls or “planets”, home-made rockets, spaceship and robot masks, rocket favors and of course the space rocket cake.
We created this space theme by using our designs from our latest Sunshine Parties printable set. All digital design elements can be printed on a home PC printer and handmade. This makes the party unique and still affordable and best of all it doesn’t take that long! With a little thought this party can look out of this world and your little boy will be over the moon! Excuse the pun!”

In Jasmine’s words….“My adorable son Blake turned 4 recently and we celebrated his birthday with his friends at My Gym. He is always walking around saying he is a robot, so I thought it would be a great theme for his party!
I started with designing the invitation using an greatrobot image. The color scheme for the sweets table was based on the invitation colors which included red, blues, greens and yellow.
I went on a mission finding robot decor and discovered Robot Island. I ordered some great vintage looking robots which were the perfect touch to the table.
I found robot favors (rubber ducky robot, game book, and robot toys) at Oriental Trading. I also ordered the plates, napkins and robot lollipops from Oriental Trading too.
The sweets table included: personalized Hershey bars and Hershey Nuggets, chocolate dipped pretzels and marshmallow pops, round crackers shaped like gears, Twizzlers, M&Ms, cupcakes and jello cups.
I ordered the little wooden spoons and twine for the jello cups from Garnish.
I’ve been wanting to incorporate a bunting design on a cake and created the bunting on Blake’s cake with paper letters I cut into triangle and hot glued to white floral wire. I used red and white straws from Garnish for the posts.”
here’s a little sneak peak at the robot birthday party i’m planning. i went to the oil can section {robot’s need oiled up so they don’t rust, remember} for some party decor items & inspiration. i’m getting pretty excited!
