This is what Cris said about planning the party- “With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, now is the time to start planing your get together! Amanda’s Parties to Go and I teamed up to help make the festivities easy and fun for you! Amanda is offering a FREE St. Patrick’s Day Printable Set that made this party a breeze to style. I created a colorful sweet/snack table for the kids with a rainbow backdrop made out of ribbons where I displayed the banner from the set. I used the icons from the printable set to create the center pieces for the the sweet table and the kids table. I dressed up the candy containers using ribbons and the circle tags included in the set. I also used the tags to embellish the popcorn containers. The rainbow flags were added on the kabobs sticks and lollipops for an extra pop of color. As for healthy snacks, the guests enjoyed leprechaun whole wheat sandwiches, rainbow fruit kabobs, veggies and orange juice. After their lunch, the children had fun making rainbow necklaces and finding gold coins around the backyard. It was finally time to enjoy some sweets! Rainbow cupcakes, M&M’s, Hershey’s kisses, lollipops and cinnamon popcorn were enjoyed by all! Instead of the traditional rainbow and pot of gold favor, I created a cute favor by dressing up green pails using cupcake wrappers, filling them with gold coins and finishing up by adding a rainbow lollipop.

Each child also took home a rainbow notebook, rainbow crayons, shamrock necklace, shamrock headband and tattoos. Hope these ideas and the FREE printable set offer help you plan your own St. Patty’s Celebration! Here’s what Jennifer said about planning the party- “Every Easter, I invite all my friends and their kids over. Over 50 people come every year. Since we live on 2.5 acres, I just let the kids run and play. For last year’s egg hunt I rented a bounce house and a professional bubble machine! It was perfect. The parents had a chance to talk and relax instead of having to assist their little ones in organized games. The Easter Bunny came for pictures with everyone (I have a costume) and he handed out rainbow swirly pops.

I loved this party because of all the bright colors, the families that came, and the time of year it signifies. This party also came with a super special story! I just HAVE to tell you:

My friend Ashley Riherd was in the beginning stages of adopting a baby girl from China. She is my party-planning buddy and always helps me set up before parties. Before the guests arrived we were marveling at the brightly colored table and spotted a ladybug. Ladybugs have become something lucky to Ashley – she spotted them often during times of despair over the adoption process and they remind her to stay positive. So as we stood in the backyard waiting for the guests to arrive, I told her that next year, her daughter Shisi would be here with us. She just had to! Besides, the theme was rainbows and rainbows remind us of God’s promise to us. This year has been rough for Ashley. Adopting is not for the faint of heart. There are so many highs and lows, hurry ups and waits! BUT – Ashley and her husband Daniel DID bring Shisi home, in January! Yeah!! AND — just in time for this year’s Easter egg hunt! God is good!

The Sweet Table Backdrop
I covered a 4′x6′ piece of particle board (cut for me at Lowe’s Hardware store, at a total cost of $8) in white butcher paper from Mardel. (You can also find white butcher paper at Lakeshore; it’s the paper teachers use for their bulletin boards.) This paper covers the board perfectly! I use the particle board for most all my parties and simply change out the covering color!

I used wrapping paper from Hallmark as the runner through the middle of the board. It’s simply taped onto the back to hold it in place. Then, I used cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby to spell HOP and spray painted them each a different color. Since you don’t need much spray paint, you can use the small cans found at Hobby Lobby.

How to Coordinate a Really Big Easter Egg Hunt
Ask guests to bring one dozen plastic Easter eggs per child in their family. Each egg should be filled with candy and taped closed. Have a few “Egg Drop” buckets set out to collect the eggs when the guests arrive. Ask some of the parents to scatter the eggs halfway through the party while the kids gather their Easter baskets.

If you are hosting an Easter Egg hunt with a wide range of age groups, it’s a good idea to section off the egg hunting zones. A 2-year-old can hardly keep up with a 7-year-old. Therefore, I divided my lawn into two groups: “3 and under” and “4 and up.” This allows the toddlers to hunt at their own pace while the bigger kids can run and get competitive! Also, since everyone brings a dozen eggs per child, separating the collection ensures that you have the appropriate ratio of eggs per zone!”

Rainbow Candy Land Birthday Party

This super cute RAINBOW CANDY LANDY BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Tierney Williams of Tints and Prints!

Tierney said this about planning the party- “As a mother to three sons, I was ecstatic when my sister-in-law asked me to help with my niece’s Candy Land inspired birthday party. As the owner of a little invitation and announcement card shop on Etsy, Tints and Prints by Tierney, I am honored when family and friends ask for my help. I created an entire DIY Party Package of printables for this adorable party. By pairing Candy Land with bright chevron prints, I updated the classic childhood game with a modern design obsession of mine…chevron!

The kids loved the candy station we had set up with make-your-own fruit loop necklaces, ice cream cone blowing bubbles, and a Guess How Many candy jar. The goodie bag favors were a hit as well, allowing the kids to not only take some classic candy home…but they received their own pocket size miniature Candy Land travel board game, complete with cards and gingerbread men.

The birthday girl was all show when she came to the door dressed to greet her guests…in a custom made Candy Land outfit, made by her Nana, with love. The fabric was purchased at a local craft store and looked perfect with the birthday girl’s fruit loop necklace. I enjoyed every detail of helping with this party, from designing the photo invitation to receiving my coordinating Thank You card in the mail, signed by my very own little sweet niece, Cora.”

Rainbow Themed Korean Dohl {1st Birthday Party}

This lovely RAINBOW THEMED KOREAN DOL 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Jiye Lee of Dress Up Files. I love the lollipops, cupcakes & cake! There are a lot of fabulous rainbow themed party ideas here, so look closely!

Jiye said this about planning the party- “For my daughter’s 1st birthday party, more than 50 kids were set to attend and having it at an elegant restaurant was absolutely out of the question. I ended up renting out a gigantic indoor playground. As friends were leaving at the end of the party, I noticed that child after child was walking out with a huge smile and a sweaty mop of hair and I knew the party had been a success. When kids are having fun, parents get to relax and chit chat. Winning!

A few months ago, I started seeing pictures of rainbow themed parties pop up all over the internet and I was sold. I love the impact the vibrant colors have and how cheerful and happy it looks.

All the paper goods were by chickabug, including the invites, cupcake toppers, banner, favor labels, etc. I bought the files and printed everything at home. She was so great to work with and very helpful! And I think the paper goods are what really brought everything to life.

We played Dohl Ja Bee, a traditional Korean game played at first birthdays. You set up different things in front of the baby until they grab one and it’s supposed to predict what their future will hold. For example, pencil means they will be a scholar, golf ball means an athlete, microphone means an entertainer and so on. My daughter ended up choosing the stethoscope. My grandfather was a doctor so maybe she will follow in his footsteps!”
