You are going to love this PASTEL RAINBOW + FAIRY THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Natalie Zakhem of Events by Nat!
Natalie said- “My daughter’s birthday was fast approaching and I’ve always known that she would be having a fairy party. As fairy parties are very common these days, I wanted her party to incorporate elements that other fairy parties didn’t have, so I decided on an enchanted pastel rainbow fairy party.
The colours were perfect and captured a sweet version of rainbows and the party included all the elements of an enchanted fairy party. The dessert table was the highlight of the party. The cake and backdrop captured the scene of an enchanted forest. The sweet treats were styled in a way which enabled them to fit into this enchanted forest. The sweet treats included Butter-cream swirl pastel cupcakes, Butterfly cake pops, Pixie dust cake pops, a Flower cookie tree, Cookie wands, Topiary tree cake pops, Mushroom marshmallows, Petite fairy floss tarts, Petite pastel rainbow cakes, Pastel macarons, Pastel rainbow layered jelly, Pastel rainbow layered pannacotta, and I obviously had to include a pot of gold chocolates at the end of the rainbow.
As we had a huge variety of desserts I decided to have a separate drinks and candy table which the children could help themselves to. The little “fairies” and “peter pans” helped themselves to some Pixie Punch and treated themselves to some candy, which included Pastel marshmallows, Sour rainbow straps, Mint leaves, Pastel candy, Pastel fruit stick, Pastel lollypops.
For entertainment we had Fairy Good Times “Fairy Melody” attend the party. She transported the children away to a magical world of make believe, where their dreams began and enchantment commenced. The activities they participated in included A magic show with many giggles, Puppetry and many imaginative games, and Face painting. Fairy Melody also enchanted the children with her amazing voice, hence the reason for her beautiful name.
As a take home gift each child was given a bottle of pixie dust to enable them to be transported to this enchanted land once again and a personalised chocolate bar from the birthday girl.”

This WIZARD OF OZ RAINBOW THEMED 4TH BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Keith and Tanya Manning of Totfudge! Such a cute party! All the display’s and ideas are too cute!
Here is what Tanya said about planning the party- “This year our daughter, Clara, asked for a Wizard of Oz birthday party. She and her sister spent the summer coming up with some really good ideas. We had to narrow down all of the great ideas the girls had and decided to focus on the iconic patterns and colors from the movie. For example: Yellow chalk on the driveway to create a yellow brick road, silver party hats with red hearts for the tin man, blue gingham napkins in honor of Dorothy’s dress, black and white striped plates to symbolize the wicked witch’s tights. We designed a new invitation just for this party and hand glittered Dorothy’s ruby red slippers. Another pattern we used was RAINBOW! We used crepe paper to create a rainbow in the hallway, served rainbow fruit, and made a rainbow surprise cake. I’ve always wanted to try a rainbow cake after seeing it on Pinterest and it was a huge hit!
The most fun part for us was creating the Munchkin Land sweet table. I chose all of the treats, mostly from Kara’s Party Ideas shop, and my husband designed some really cute labels. The kids (and grown-ups) had a ball filling up their goodie bags with treats at the end of the party.”

This adorable SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Christy Bergerson of Itsy Belle!
Christy said- “When the mommy & me playgroup I belong too wanted to do an end of summer party, all kinds of themes were considered. When a rainbow party came up in discussion and we realized we had 7 girls we knew it was perfect! A “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” theme was decided on and each little guest was assigned one Color of the rainbow to represent. Outfits could be put together in their color reflecting their personality.
What’s a party without treats?! Skittles were decided on as the perfect rainbow of sweets and I went to work creating a preschooler perfect dessert table. I was really inspired by the vintage lemonade stands I’ve seen popping up everywhere lately. Some weathered wooden crates created the perfect stand. I purchased fabric in every Color of the rainbow and cut into strips to create the fun fabric banner topping it. A vintage lemonade inspired sign declaring “Rainbows 5¢”, jars with colorful party circles and color coordinating paper fans with each little guests Name, and a candy scoop tag reading “taste the rainbow ” invited each guest to help themselves to some sweets. Plastic bags, Colorful string and thank you rainbow tags were provided for everyone to create their own sweet rainbow favors to take home. The centerpiece of the sweets stand was the fondant & ribbon covered cake, topped with an adorable rainbow pom cake topper created by Deborah of Titi’s Tutus.
The moms wanted to make sure to have a lot of photos of their adorable little rainbow, so a basket attached to balloons was the perfect “photobooth” offering rides to ” Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Each girl got a turn in the basket and it quickly turned into a fun game of knocking the basket over with friend inside! Thankfully it was all in fun and lots of giggling took place!”
