Tangled + Rapunzel Theme 2nd Birthday Princess Party

I think everyone is going to love this TANGLED + RAPUNZEL THEMED 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Laila Plant of Two Tiny Loves! What details! Everything is just amazing!

Laila said- “Being a graphic designer and having just launched my own line of party printables on etsy, I put a lot of thought and effort into planning my daughter’s second birthday party. I had everything ready to go and when I showed it to my little Nicole, and told her it was for her birthday she said “mommy no, cesi Punzel party”, which in Nicole’s lingo means Mommy no, princess Rapunzel party”. So I was back to the drawing board and having to throw the one party I was never thrilled about doing: a princess party. I thought long and hard about how I could incorporate the theme without having it be the Disney princess everywhere. I also was in a dilemma since lilac is probably my least favorite color ever. So i made the executive decision to use brights instead of the pastels seen throughout the movie. I knew that the most evident way to convey “Tangled” was to do braids so I came up with the idea of braiding yarn around the party favors and enlisted in the help of talented Yoli from Yoli’s Bowtique to create bows with bottlecaps with Rapunzel on them. For the boys we did flat bottlecaps with Pascal on them. I used the oversized number 2 piñata I ordered from Abita Achie on Etsy to stand and decorate the back part of the table designated for the party favors. I wanted Nicole to be and feel like the princess so I made a little sign that read Welcome to Princess Nicole’s second birthday party and purchased a tank top that read birthday princess for Nicole to wear with her favorite petti skirt. I am lucky enough to be surrounded by talented people. Chef Vicente Navarrate and catering designer Joanna Navarrete from Table Catering helped me come up with the beautiful food table and the unique menu for the party. I hand braided a 6 foot braid that was tangled around the custom built tower that held the food for the adults. Under the tower were 4 squares of real grass adorned with fresh cut flowers. The kids food table was decorated with a Melissa and Doug Castle set and the wooden dolls that match the castle. I ordered a mini version of the Summer Wind Collection and Summer Wind II Collection from Dainty Delights. The cookies which I named Rapunzel’s royal cookies were scattered inside the castle for the children and parents to find and eat. We live in Miami and throwing the party in our backyard is always a risk since we never know when it’s going to rain here. I decided to rent a tent and proceeded to use the Chandelier Tutorial on HWTM to make the balls that I strung from the middle of the tent and made into one big chandelier. I then did a 12 yard pennant banner of the patterns I used in the invitation in the three colors in my palette and strung it from one side of the tent to the next. I knew I wanted to incorporate the sun, so I created a purple sun pennant banner that I strung from 3 sides of the tent. Each banner was 3 yards. I decided to use yellow linens for the adult tables and purple (plum) ones for the kids table. I worked with a florist who helped me create the perfect small centerpieces for the tables and food tables. The tables were finished with tea light lanterns from Recession Home. There were 18 lanterns per table and those tables glowed once the sun started to set. I ordered small crayon rolls from Felt Like Celebrating and I made a personalized flag with every kids name on it, used as place card. I made party hats for the boys and crowns for the little girls. Each child also got a personalized straw (to make it easy for the parents to know who’s drink it was). Knowing that entertaining two year olds can be a little bit rough, I decided to make coloring mats for each one of them. I illustrated Rapunzel and Pascal (each on a separate side of the mat) and wrote Princess Nicole’s second birthday party, the date and art by on them. Once they were done with one side, the kids were able to flip over and draw the other. I also handmade little wands for each of the kids and put them in small cube blumeboxes which I wrapped with ribbon and a sun and placed them next to the drink tables. For the kids, my mother in law found sparkling peach juice at the grocery store that looked like small champagne bottles. We made labels with crack a nd peel paper and put the bottles on a square cake stand besides the food. The water bottle labels where adorned with sun labels. I also hired Rapunzel to come and sign and play games with them. She did face painting and danced around with them. Talented baker Brantley Jaramillo from Sweet Brantley’s Cake Designs worked on the tower cake. She incorporated my bright colors. The cake was also purple on the inside once it was cut! How adorable were the little lanterns hanging from it and all the detail in the tower? I was in absolute awe when I saw it! The bounce house had a sign that read the adventures of princess Nicole and her little lords and ladies which was inspired by the little books in Charlotte’s Princess Soiree on HWTM. The invitation has 3 layers: the flat 5 x 7 invitation, a fold-over purple pattern, a ribbon and sun set on top of that. They were sent in purple envelopes with wrap around customized labels that read Lady or Lord and were addressed from Princess Nicole. We had a lot of fun at our bright and festive party and were so grateful Penn Aragon from *Blank Photos was able to capture every detail of Nicole’s big day.” VENDORS: Photography: Blank Photos Cookies: Dainty Delights Lanterns: Recession Home Piñata: AbitaAchie Pinatas Blume Boxes (for wands): Blume Box Crayon Rolls: Felt Like Celebrating Tissue Garlands: Pipsqueak & Bean Cake: Sweet Brantleys Cake Designs Printables: Two tiny Loves Catering: Table Catering

Snow White Princess Birthday Party

This SNOW WHITE FAIRY TALE BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Maureen of Anders Ruff will blow you away! Soooooo darling! I love all the crisp lines, and the vibrant colors.

Here is what Maureen had to say about their party- “Our Snow White Inspired Classic Fairy Tale birthday party incorporated a bit of vintage with a bit of royalty, while still remaining whimsical and kid friendly! Poisonous candy apples, fairy tale blue bird cookies, candy gem embellished cupcakes, printable elements and a pretty white ruffle cake are all elements that brought this storybook theme to life. Our printable invitation was designed to resemble a page from a fairy tale book, with customizations about the birthday girl.  Beginning with “Once upon a time”, and ending with “Will you live happily ever after?” (as the rsvp), the invitation sets the tone for this whimsical Snow White birthday party. The new printable collection featured the classic palette of royal blue, red and yellow, but was modernized a bit with some pops of a lighter Robin’s egg blue. The dessert table was adorned with classic fairy tale blue birds on the corners holding up a royal pennant “happy birthday” banner with red rope cording. Ruffles made of coordinating silk ribbon and layers of doilies were matted behind the printable party logo that decorated the poisonous candy apple (Pretzels Pleaze). A silhouette of a Snow White inspired character was printed and cut to put on the backdrop frame. I made French macarons in shades of yellow and blue to coordinate and they were topped with a printable flag. Poisonous Apple cupcakes (Cuprazed Cakery) were topped with a pretzel stick and printable patterned red leaf.  The cupcakes were wrapped with a printable cupcake wrapper from our new collection. Raspberry mousse with lady fingers were displayed with fresh berries, coordinating ribbon and a printable circle emblem with Grayce’s initial monogram. The blue bird cookies (Cookie XChange) were placed in a silver tea pot and filled with fresh red holly berries.  (Have you noticed that most fairy tale movies always have blue birds flocking around the main character?!) Antique silver serving pieces were filled with coordinating candies (from Oh Nuts).  We sprayed $1 circle frames from Michaels with a vintage gold spray paint and used those as our place card holders. Place settings held sweet cupcakes in vintage silver cups that were stuffed with pale yellow tulle.  We made candy gemstones to decorate the cupcakes. Cream puffs and macarons were also served on the royal pastries display. With the apple being a signature icon from Snow White, we chose to use apple slices on the side of the drink glassware.  The stems were adorned with a party flag with a signature Snow White red ribbon. The side table held favors and cosmetics for the girls to play with.  Red lipstick that is usually a no-no for 7 year olds was allowed at this Snow White bash.  (How could we have a snow white character without red lipstick!?)  A custom printable wrap dressed up the lipsticks. Cookie XChange also made cookies to look like gold mirror frames with the graphic initial, G (for Grayce) from our printables.  Grayce felt mighty special at her party with the personalized touch! The guest of honor, Grayce, dressed the part as Snow White in a custom dress by Made by Morgan.  We made headbands using coordinating ribbon and $1 store headbands for the girls to wear, along with princess slippers. Grayce’s friends also dressed as classic fairy tale characters, Belle and Cinderella.   (Made by Morgan custom dresses) What’s better than a fairy tale party with all of the favorite characters attending?! The girls got to decorate their own gold hand held mirrors with jewels. They also played with beautiful vintage gold crowns from Queen Bee Designs. A sweet little “thank you” apple tag was hanging from the mirror and the girls took this home as their favor from the party.” Credits and Sources- Party Styling, Production & Printable Graphics: Anders Ruff Photography: Becca Bond Photography Candy Apples: Pretzels Pleaze Cake: Got What It Cakes Apple Cupcakes: Cupcrazed Cakery Candy: Oh! Girls 5th Birthday Princess Tea Party

It’s time for another gorgeous princess party. This PRINCESS 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTYwas submitted by Sriti Fusillo. Sriti not only chose to host a princess party for her daughter, but a tea party as well. Everything was put together so perfectly. Such a pretty party for a darling little girl.
Here is what Sriti wrote about the party-
“I did a Princess Tea Party for my daughter Sarina for her 5th birthday. I hand-made the invitations to look like tea bags which folded out and gave all the details for Princess Sarina’s Birthday Tea. I hand made all the food except the cake, which was made by It’s All About the Cake. We had Petite Fours with fondant tea pot toppers and pink blossoms, chocolate cupcake pops, yogurt parfaits, brownie bites with fondant dahlias, and sugar cookies. I also made Princess Punch (sherbert with ginger ale) and we had pink tea (pink lemonade). The table napkins were mismatched pieces of material I had that I sewed into napkins. The napkin rings are toilet paper rolls cut and then covered with ribbon and a rhinestone. I designed the chair backing and all the printables myself (I am a freelance graphic designer) and my husband hung a small chandelier over the table using fishing line. The girls had a hair and makeup statio n where they could get their hair and makeup done and a crafts table where they could make their own crowns and wands. The goody bags were felt bags that were filled with princess items (a charm bracelet with princess charms, jewelry erasers, princess pops and truffles in a gown box) that each of the girls got to take home along with their made crowns and wands.” Photography- Blue Sky’s Studio

Rapunzel + Tangled Art Party

My next party feature goes to this darling RAPUNZEL + TANGLED ART PARTY submitted by Fara Medina-Santori of Little Things Creations. Now this is a cute party. Everyone is in love with Tangled right now, it has become a very popular party theme. Fara nailed it with this one. LOVE the tower cake, the braids attached to the party hats & the paintbrush rice crispy treats! Here is what Fara said about the party- “I am sharing with you my daughter’s Rapunzel Art Party, which I styled for her sixth birthday. I got inspired in the Rapunzel character of the new Disney’s movie, Tangled. My daughter fall in love with the movie and loved the fact that Rapunzel was painting all the time (just like her). I combined her love for art and her love for the movie and this was my result. We had lots of fun preparing all, my daughter was a great helper this time, we even made homemade playdough, has favors. It was a great experience for both of us! The cake tower was inspired by a Disney website idea, but with some small variations. The paint brush krispy treats was also super fun to make. We saw the idea on Pinterest and later found out that is from Kim of  The celebration shoppe. It was a great addition to our art party table. Also were the oreo’s pops and the beautiful and delicious cupcakes made by my incredible mother in law, who also made the delicious cake underneath the tower.”
