i’m finally posting the pool party i did a few weeks ago! i’ve been so busy lately with a wedding and a couple of parties :).
i printed most of the paper goods via paper and cake…so cute!! love her stuff!

i covered these adorable tarts {that my sisters best friend made} with whip cream, kiwi’s, and a mango syrup. they were so yummy!
i got this unfinished surf board on ebay a few years ago..and painted it…
i made the cupcake toppers out of colorful cut up straws {and paper and cake’s adorable printables}…
we covered the cake with brown sugar for ‘sand’…
i stuck pinwheels on top for an added beach effect :).
the beach ball sippers i found online…
i bought some fun wooden surfboards at michaels that all the kids painted…
How fun are these Shark cupcakes?! The best part- they’re Pina Colada cupcakes, baby!
I made the shark fins out of card stock.
Here’s the cupcake recipe: Ingredients:
1 package yellow cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
3/4 cup Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
1/2 cup white grape juice {or rum, if you drink alcohol}
1/3 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 can crushed pineapple, well drained
1/2 cup shredded coconut
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, 1/2 cup cream of coconut, 1/2 cup white grape juice, oil, and eggs. beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Stir in drained crushed pineapple & shredded coconut. Divide into cupcake liners. Cook for 15-18 minutes.
aren’t these just the cutest?! i saw them on ot a while back, but when i went to buy them they were no longer in stock! i was bummed, i wanted them for the upcoming pool party i’m planning. BUT i searched and searched online and finally found them on kid’s parties by lori!
i ordered a bunch, and love them!
