Orange, Pink and Gold 1st Birthday Party

This ORANGE, PINK AND GOLD FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Thetis Sardo of Little Sooti in Australia. I love the idea of using the color scheme of the party as the actual theme!

There are so many gorgeous ideas here. These are some of my favorite things about this vibrant yet elegant 1st birthday party:
The gorgeous tassel banners hanging as the backdrop
The stunning 3-tiered cake that incorporates all of the colors of the party
The ribbon wands
The candy bar displayed in apothecary jars
The place settings complete with wooden utensils, milk bottles, & paper straws (three party essentials, if you ask me!)
and MORE!

Here’s what Thetis said about planning the party- “I was honored to style this gorgeous 1st birthday party for a beautiful little girl named Paris. Paris’ mum, who is an amazing cake designer, loves all things girly and usually opts for pretty pinks and soft colour palettes. However, after throwing some ideas around, we came up with a fresh and funky colour palette consisting of tangerine, peach, & gold. The party area consisted of a dessert table which featured an amazing 3 tier cake and an ombre buttercream “smash cake” for Paris. We also had some yummy vanilla buttercream cupcakes, homemade marshmallows, white chocolate mousse cups and incredible cookies custom-made to match the invitations. Additionally, we included a small selection of lollies for the kids to grab throughout the day. And no dessert table is complete without a colour coordinated candy bar. Stunning tassel garlands, made by Dandy and Darling (formerly Blush Loves Mint), acted as a backdrop, and we draped gold sequined fabric over the table for that extra sparkle.

The kids tables were covered in white linen paired with tangerine napkins, some cute dip dyed wooden cutlery and each place setting was complete with its own mini milk bottle. The chairs were a mini version of the Louis Ghost Chair (in red) which worked perfectly with our scheme.

Centrepieces consisted of beautiful milk glass vases filled with peach and orange roses. We also had a drink dispenser set up, filled with pink lemonade for the kids to enjoy in the warmth of the sun. Other decorations included giant balloons with tassels, also made by Dandy & Darling, and hanging in the marque were honeycomb balls and bells.

Each guest received their very own dip dyed ribbon wand to play with. Cute little white and gold boxes filled with pastel coloured meringues were given as party favours.”

Aloha, Hawaiian {Goodbye} Summer Birthday Party

Saying goodbye to summer is always so hard for me. I’m such a sunshine and sand kind of girl. Sigh. Today’s winning party feature is perfect…an ALOHA SUMMER {GOODBYE SUMMER} BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Anna & Blue Paperie! Such a gorgeous party! Stefanie did an amazing job. LOVE the creative wreath made out of drink umbrellas. And take a look at the handcrafted hibiscus flowers on the CAKE by DK Designs!
Stefanie said- “I incorporated warm and inviting colors of yellow, orange and fuchsia. A color palette that cheers for celebration! My goal was to create a look that could be recreated for children and adults and one that could be used for any occasion or event. Hibiscus flowers in the party’s color scheme were used throughout the party printables including cupcake toppers, dessert labels, kids table décor and party favors.
The dessert table consisted of cupcakes with fondant toppers from Two Sugar Babies & Aloha themed cookies from Cookies Are My Canvas. The centerpiece for the table was a cake adorned with eco-chic hand crafted hibiscus flowers by DK Designs. My sweet hubby helped me make the colorful layered cake. His engineering skills came in handy! A happy and colorful bed linen print with bright swirls of flowers and paisley from Pottery Barn Teen was used as the backdrop for the dessert table. The dessert table was adorned with large paper flowers that were added to the backdrop. I made a table skirt using raffia hula skirts and I added a garland in matching party colors using leis from Party City. Celebration candles, candy cups and stripy straws were purchased from Sweet Lulu.
The birthday girls wore adorable custom rosette tanks created by Modern Frills and had matching flower hair accessories made by Looking 4 Lilly.
The guests were greeted at the door and welcomed with leis and hula skirts. Using inspiration from Kim at The Tomkat Studio’s Fairy Party tutu centerpiece, I made hair clips from a flower bouquet I purchased at a dollar store. The flower clips were added to tree branches I found from our yard which made the perfect centerpiece for our family room. Girls chose their favorite flower clip to go along with their aloha accessories. Activities for the party consisted of coloring hibiscus flowers and beach themed coloring pages, a paper leis craft station, hula lessons and a tiki piñata.”

Orange & Pink Argyle Baby Shower!

My next winning party feature goes to this beautiful
Orange & Pink BlaBla Doll Baby Shower
Aren’t these photo’s {taken by Wendy} and colors stunning?!
Wendy threw this baby shower with her mom for her sister and new niece, Zoe.
She said that little Zoe was going to have a nice collection of BlaBla dolls when she arrived so they used that as an inspiration for the party. They made BlaBla tags for all the chairs and kept the colors bright and cheerful!
