Secret Garden 7th Birthday Party

This precious SECRET GARDEN 7TH BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Kara Abrahamsen of Lillian Hope Designs. Isn’t it just lovely? Kara said– “This party was styled for my daughter Lilly’s 7th birthday! She was madly in love with the book ‘SECRET GARDEN’ and had this great idea to have a Secret Garden Party! I of course jumped on this idea…I love shabby chic and vintage style parties and was so excited to start styling one for her 7th birthday. It took me a while to figure out what direction I wanted to go…then I found a fantastic paper pack on Etsy from HelloLoveToo and I fell in love with the print! In the invitations we sent out plastic glitter keys so that the girls could unlock the magical garden gate as they entered into the secret garden. As the guest arrived they had many {backyard garden games} they could walk around and play as they wished (hula hoops, skipping rope, hopscotch, potato sack races, spoon races with fake eggs, and bubble blowing). After the girls were finished playing backyard garden games. They got dressed up with some shabby chic accessories and took pictures at the {photo booth}. This was Lilly’s favorite part of the entire party! Cake and desserts came next! They were able to go up and get as many sweets as their little hearts desired from the dessert table! My friend Alyssa made the beautiful cake and bird cookies. She is incredibly talented and is thinking about starting her own bakery…something I am constantly encouraging her to do! She had some other great cupcakes that we were going to use, but a mild soccer ball accident with her son changed that;-)! Instead she got cupcakes from a local bakery the day of the party (what a lifesaver). We played find the garden gate key. A friend of mine hid the keys all around the garden. The girls had to run and find them. Once they found one they went to the prize table and picked out their butterfly nets and flower headbands. Then they filled a treat box with magnets, hairclips, and other girly accessories. It was then time to paint their flower pots and plant their flowers to take home! I am sure the parents loved me sending home so many items with the children ;-). My daughter has chosen for the last two years to donate her gifts. So this year she donated them to a program called Teen Mops. Everyone was asked to bring a gift of $15 or less to donate.” Vendor Credit: Party Printables/Design/Styling – Lillian Hope Designs Photography – Faith Photography Cookies/Cake – {Alyssa Trepagnier} AlyssaTrep@gmail.com Oreo Pops – Lauren Scheck Cupcakes – GiGi’s Cupcakes Birthday Girl Shirt – Oh Fiddlesticks Birthday Girl Headband – Headbands by LilCuteTs

Sweet Shoppe 6th Birthday Party

This tender SWEET SHOPPE 6TH BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Brigid Steiner of Pinwheel Parties. And that it definitely is– sweet. I love the soft yellow mixed in with the pinks and greens. The gumball machines couldn’t be cuter. And how darling is the Sweet Shoppe Bingo game cards?! So many fun elements… Here is what Brigid said about the party– “This was an adorable Sweet Shoppe themed party for two 6-year-old friends who share a birthday. I own and rent kid-size tables & chairs, so we formed a large square with the tables and had place settings for each girl. A lollipop topiary served as the centerpiece, and each chair had a pink satin sash. For entertainment, we hired a face-painter, played a lollipop game, sweet shoppe bingo (http://www.birthdayinabox.com/party-ideas/guidesdetails.asp?aseq=1483&bgs=0), danced to the Gummi Bear Song, and of course took turns at the candy buffet.” Vendors: Photography- Tess Smith Photography Invitations & Printables- Forever Your Prints Birthday banner- The TomKat Studio Bags & 3′ balloons- Shop Sweet Lulu Sweet Shoppe sign was designed by my talented friend, Laura Lazzaro

Vintage {Tree + Birdie} 1st Birthday Party

The work that went into this SWEET VINTAGE {TREE + BIRDIE} 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY blew me away when I first opened up the submission email from Heather Mitchell of HMP Studios. Everything is absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE the vintage piano and furniture pieces. Such an amazing party. Here is what Heather said about the party– “I wanted Paislee’s first birthday to be sweet and vintage and to incorporate the vintage birdie /tree theme that we have used since we announced our pregnancy with her. I spent tons of time researching ideas to make an inside party beautiful. My older daughter has a summer party and it is easy to do parties in our yard. We basically cleaned out out formal living room so everything would look party and even painted an 1800′s antique piano so that the room would be perfect. Almost everything was handmade by means my friends except the cupcake flags were by Icing designs. And her finger print tree sign in (my fave party detail) was made by local artist Lindsay Pace on vintage hymnal pages using a few of my favorite hymns. Her photos of her first year and invitation session were used for decorations throughout the party since I am a photographer I have photographs her every week of her life. The party was exactly what I wanted for her first birthday. It was almost as special as she is!”

Romantic Valentine’s Day Tea Party

And up next… This beautiful ROMANTIC VALENTINE’S DAY TEA PARTY submitted by Sharon Pardon. Is that ruffle cake not the cutest cake ever?! I love the delicate cupcakes in the tea box as well.
Here is what Sharon said about the party– “I was inspired to do this Valentines day table. I didnt want to do the typical tradtional colours of red and white, so went with pink and blue. I like to think its a high tea romantic valentines day. I also love prettiness, and being that valentines Day isnt huge in Australia I wanted to make it feel softer.”Vendor Credits–Photography : http://www.samanthapearce.com.au/index2.php#/home/ Drinking straws and Swizzle sticks: http://www.tlbc.com.au/ Chocolate Wrappers {Free Printables}: http://sweetscarletdesigns.blogspot.com.au/ Small hearts and tea labels: http://www.eatdrinkchic.com/ Little Tickets: http://misscutiepiegoes80s.blogspot.com.au/

Fly Away With Me Valentine’s Party

Today I am showcasing some adorable Valentines Day parties. This first FLY AWAY WITH ME VALENTINE’S PARTY was submitted by Gwynn Wasson of Gwynn Wasson Designs. SO cute & clever! I love the propeller pops, cotton candy air & airplane fork sleeves! This is what Gwynn wrote about the party- “I adore Valentine’s Day! Personally I could easily get swept up in a sea of pink ruffles, hearts and frills. But my boys… Well, I’m not so sure how they would feel about it! So this year, I created a super fun party that’s for girls AND boys full of pink hearts, fluffy clouds and vintage bi-planes. Dessert tables are always a magnet for kids at a party. And it is one of the highlights for me to see their eyes light up with excitement when they spy something that, not only looks tasty, but inspires their imagination as well. Hence the creation of the “Propeller Pop”! These propeller adorned marshmallow roller pops were the stars of the dessert table. “Hovering” just in front of our bi-plane backdrop and just behind of the “Fluffy (cotton candy) Clouds” which were displayed in treat cones, these toys/treats were a huge hit! I stood them up on their very own “cloud” of marshmallows and once the party started, they were gone in an instant. I had a blast decorating the kid’s tables. No airplane party would be complete without Complimentary In Flight Snacks and Beverages (“Love Potion”). Each child got their own set of Pilot’s Wings. And just to make eating a little more fun, I created cut-outs to turn the flatware into airplanes. What kid wouldn’t want to “fly” their food to their mouths?! But the good times didn’t end with the food. When lunch was over there were paper airplanes to fold and fly and activity placemats for “In Flight Entertainment”! All the Printables for the entire Fly Away With Me Valentine Collection, including the propellers for the roller pops, cupcake toppers, bottle labels, activity placemats, cut-outs for the flatware and so much more, are available in my Etsy shop.” Credits:
