Lauren said this about the party- “Sarah was a dream client to work with… we customized my Night Owl Sleepover collection for her daughter’s first birthday. She did a fantastic job putting everything together. Here are some of the details of the party from Sarah’s blog…

‘I have been pinning pictures and ideas on Pinterest for the last few months so I knew what “theme” I wanted for her first birthday….OWLS….in my signature colors of course! One of the best things I did was to hire an amazing photographer to take pictures of the day and all of the details. It was so nice to be able to visit with all of the guests and enjoy the party without a camera around my neck trying to get a bunch of pictures. Best money spent! It was amazing seeing my vision come together and having everything so pretty for my special birthday girl.

I found the little “S” and owl at Hobby Lobby. The bottles are glass Starbucks bottles. I got them from someone off Craigslist, took the labels off and washed them about 10 times with super hot water. I had all of the guests bring sealed letters to Sally and place them in the suitcase. I plan to present her with the letters when she turns 18. I collected brightly colored frames…mostly from Hobby Lobby…and filled them with Sally’s monthly pictures.’”

Kara’s Mickey Mouse themed Birthday Party!

I’m so excited to finally showcase my MICKEY MOUSE THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY!

I wanted to create a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party full of fabulous DIY ideas to inspire and help all of you throw a killer Mickey party from start to finish. I hope you can create the perfect Mickey party for your little guy or girl by following these tips, tutorials and ideas!

Before I go any further, here is a fun video from my show that goes through this whole Mickey Mouse Party…showing you how to make all of the projects and decor first hand!

The above red buckets are available in my shop. I simply glued on two white circles to make them look like Mickey Mouse. The same idea could also be used at a Minnie Mouse party…just get black buckets (or pink) and glue polka dots onto the buckets.

Make these hats out of regular red party hats from my shop and black paper circles. Simply attach two black paper circles to the back of the party hat.

Make the above lanterns out of Chinese lanterns available in the shop. Simply attach round paper circles to the backs of the lanterns.

Little Duckling Easter + Spring Party

This precious LITTLE DUCKLING EASTER + SPRING PARTY was submitted by Suzanne Olvey of Fanciful Events.

This adorable spring soiree is so adorable! Some of my favorite elements are:

This is what Suzanne said about planning the party- “I did a simple Easter brunch and used a touch of ducklings throughout. I wanted to do this theme a little differently and switch out the pastel color scheme with coral, turquoise, yellow and touches of gold. Since I decided on a duckling theme I wanted there to be lots of “egg” elements throughout the dessert table. I also incorporated eggs in the decor, dessert displays and as take home favors {egg cartoons with candy in them}. There were also fun and festive Easter “Nutcrackers”. The brunch menu was simple but full of wonderful things such as waffles on a stick, powdered donuts, mini cinnamon rolls, mini blueberry muffins, donut holes, mini cupcakes and a couple of sweet treats. I wanted to do something sweet, simple and fun.”

Vintage Pink Cowgirl Birthday Party

This VINTAGE PINK COWGIRL BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Tania Peso of Totful Memories is just beautiful! If you’re planning a cowboy or cowgirl party, then definitely check out this party for some great ideas!

Tania said- “Our inspiration for this party was vintage lace and some sweet southern charm. I designed this collection with my niece in mind and so the simple silhouette of the cowgirl was a cute detail that was used throughout the printable collection. All things girly and oh course, pink were welcome for this sweet lil cowgirl shindig!

We started with the ribbon and lace backdrop, choosing to make the lengths varied to look more whimsical. The pink ruffled pompom cupcake toppers were inspired by a tutorial I saw from Paige of Paiges of Style. So simple and easy to make these cute and girly bobbles!

I have come to love spray paint after styling this party. We purchased the little horse figurines at the dollar store and decided to make them gold along with some buttons so to add a shine to the dessert table. One gold horse was used for the cake topper to our pink ombre cake. The rosette frosting was a new technique for me and although it was not perfect, I think it adds to the ‘handmade by mommy’ look :)

So many details worked together to create our rustic, yet modern cowgirl party; lace doilies, natural burlap, velvet, satin and leather ribbons. The lace cookies were so beautiful, it was hard to take a bite…but we all did, eventually!”
