I am in love with this PREPPY + GIRLY NAUTICAL FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Tracy Allen of Sweet Peach Paperie! Tracy did such a good job, there are so many cute ideas here! This could easily be a baby shower theme, too!
Tracy said- “I chose this nautical theme after deciding that we wanted to have my daughter, Eliza’s, 1st birthday party on the lake in our neighborhood. With a lakeside setting, a preppy pink and navy nautical celebration seemed to be the perfect fit! It was so much fun to design the invitations. The invites are always my very favorite part! I lined the navy envelopes with a coordinating pink stripe paper and sealed them with a personalized return address sticker. The liners are so easy to make yourself and way less expensive than purchasing lined envelopes. Simply create your pattern, adhere the liner to the envelope with a glue stick and that’s it! From the invite, I designed the rest of the collection around the diagonal stripes and quatrefoil patterns. The dessert table was set up in the lake gazebo and filled with the talents of so many! The pink cake was designed with a swirl “wave” pattern and contributed by Creations Bakery. It sat on my favorite white scallop stand from Pi er 1 Imports. The adorable anchor cookies were made by Sweet Goosie Girl and were just as delicious as cute! I couldn’t resist and ate one within minutes of the package landing on my doorstep! The fondant toppers were custom made by Claudia Cupcake Lady to perfectly match the sailboat and monogram used throughout. Claudia also kindly designed a sailboat fondant topper for Eliza’s smash cake. The pink stripe and navy stripe straws were courtesy of Fun Paper Straws. I just love paper straws! I designed straw flags and used glass bottles that were recycled Starbucks frappuccino bottles! The individual snack containers were filled with pretzel goldfish and topped with a “Catch of the Day” sticker. The containers were another fun freebie! While eating lunch at a local deli, those perfect little containers were served with the kid’s meal. I asked if I could purchase some and the kind manager gave me as many as I needed! The pink lunch bags held “Sailor Sandwiches”. The sailboat kabobs were filled with blackberrries and blueberries to match our navy colored theme. The skewers were topped with a sail and inserted into a glass vase of brown sugar to give the look of sand. All of the preppy party decor was designed by Sweet Peach Paperie. After dinner, our little party guests built their own sailboats. My dad cut all the wood and my mom made the sails with leftover fabric from the backdrop. It was so cute to see a table of girls and one little boy using their hammer and nails to build sailboats. We then set sail in the lake! It was such a beautiful night and the perfect evening to celebrate our sweet girl!” Vendors and Credits: Party Printables- Sweet Peach Paperie Photography- Princess P. How adorable is this AHOY BABY 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY {NAUTICAL THEMED PARTY} submitted by Julie Hinton of Middle Aisle! I just adore the saying “If you ever want to know how much we love you, count the waves”. Everything is so precious. I hope you get some fun ideas from this sweet party!
Julie said- “In December, our little man took his first trip to the beach in Florida and loved it. So when he was about to turn one, it seemed fitting to bring the beach feel back to him in Southern Utah where we live. Each guest was sent an boarding pass with arrival times, dates, and meal pass. They all had a tare off stub so they could “board” the party. His first birthday was our boy’s first time to have cake. So a sweets table was a necessary. Oreo cupcakes, cake and sugar cookies are the families favorites. Also an ombre cake with shades of blue to celebrate being a little boy. A photo booth was set up on the sofa with props so we could take pictures of all the family and friends who where at the party. For the kids, there were boat races in a kiddie pool, sea creature decorating on sugar cookies and playing in the grass with bubbles.” Credits- Styling and decor: Middle Aisle Photography: One Memory at a Time Party Goods: Paper Straws Bakers Twine Swirl LollipopsPurchase the above swirl lollipops here.
I think you’re going to love this Nautical Themed First Communion Party submitted by Judith Cardona of Happy Party in Spain!
In Judith’s words- “WELCOME ABOARD! The colors used for this nautical communion party were red, white and blue. In the entrance, there was a lifeguard that welcomed you on board. This charming place was perfect for the photo booth with guests. The room was organized in two tables: one for children and one for adults. For the children´s table a colorful and funny decoration; paper boats, real fishes, shells and color pencils + paper + stickers. On the ceiling were red balloons and white garlands like waves. On the communion chair were two red balloons and red ribbons. For the adults table, there was a more sophisticated decoration: soft colors, wooden boats, bottles with SOS message, flags, stones and shells. The party favors were blue bags filled with candies.”
