Halloween Glam Party

This fun HALLOWEEN GLAM PARTY was submitted by Debbie of Wants and Wishes Design! I love the little haunted house milk boxes and all of the decor!

Debbie said- “I’m so excited for my new Halloween collection with you Kara… I wanted to create a glam Haunted House that was spooky while still being fun, glamorous and whimsical. Our collection includes a haunted house carton that you can filled with treats for a little favor or that you can let them fill as you “Trick or Treat” at the table. I used the spiderweb window in the milk carton as the backdrop in the dessert bar to make it look like the we are “in the haunted house”. We staged our dessert table to look like it was in the cellar of a witches spell binding den. Bats are hanging upside down from a broomstick we made {tutorial coming on our website- less then 5 minute broomstick and under $5}. This is great for a prop or a costume!  We had monster candles lit flanking the “ding dong the witch is dead” treat and coffin boxes with Dracula sugar cookies. A cage held “fresh bats” {Hershey bars} for ingredients needed in spells and potions. Other desserts were gummy toads and “glittery” cupcakes. my favorite treat I created for this collection is our ding dong the witch is dead. We took a ding dong and drizzled green chocolate to make it look like a witch was melting and attached our witches feet printable to it {from our printable collection}. Happy Haunting!!!!  For a fun Halloween activity we made “Haunted House” gram cracker houses, like gingerbread house but spooky and with chocolate gram crackers. You could also make with sugar cookies and color the dough!.  The kids haunted houses are really quite fun because they are not perfect with creaks and droops that look extra haunted! They even took pieces of broken graham crackers and made signs and multi-layered parts. Purple grape red vines were used as trees. One little guy didn’t really want to decorate as much as fill his house with the candy.”

Vintage Halloween Dessert Table – Halloween Party Printables

My next party feature goes to this fabulous VINTAGE HALLOWEEN DESSERT TABLE submitted by Elise Butler of Sweet Scarlet Designs. Are you ready for Halloween? It has definitely crept up on me! If you still want to plan a fun halloween party but don’t have the time to get everything together then look no further than this! You can purchase this whole DIY printable/downloadable Halloween suite for only $6 HERE! So cute.
This is what Elise said about the party- “My vision for this party was to create a Vintage-style Halloween Dessert Table and to convey the message of Halloween using only typography. I like the old-world feel, it reminds me of ‘old-west catalogues’, with a little Steam Punk thrown in. I also like the monochrome palette and the airy lightness of the table. I envision this party to be a sophisticated Halloween Cocktail or Dinner Party.”

Bewitching Halloween Party

Hello! So very sorry for the lack of posts this past week. I was on vacation and had very limited internet access. I thought that the connection was going to be a lot better. I apologize! But, I am now back and ready for a great week!

Elegant Halloween Party Dessert Table

Today I am so excited to feature this  HALLOWEEN DESSERT TABLE submitted by Marisol Figueroa of Modishly Delish! Seriously, such a cute halloween party. The milk ghost bottles…oh MY. LOVE THEM. Everything is just beautiful, Marisol. You are so talented!
Here is what Marisol said about the party- Boo! So, Halloween is right around the corner and it is a very special holiday in my house as it is my husbands birthday. This year he will be 31 on the 31st! For this table I designed a ”Spooky Chic” Halloween Printable Collection that is now available for purchase in my Etsy store. The design incorporates ghosts, bats and a chevron print using only the colors black, white and gray.  I went with this monochromatic color scheme so that those who decided to purchase my printable collection would be able to coordinate it with other colors of their choice. So for example if you wanted a hot pink Halloween party or you wanted to use the color purple, you would not be limited whatsoever! For this design I went with a chartreuse and teal color scheme to use as backing on my paper goods. For the desserts I mainly went with orange. Are you currently planning your Halloween festivities? It’s never too early to start, as I always say! Stores tend to sell out fast!
For the table I made a table linen out of burlap. I also made a ruffled table runner out of plain black cotton fabric. I found the branch in the backyard, spray painted it black. I bought a pack of faux orange leaves and also spray painted them black (leaving some orange visible), then hot glued them onto the branch. The coffins were also painted black and filled with moss, then I layed the skeleton inside.
My mom made the white meringue ghosts and we hung them from the branch using pieces of the dead moss, she did a great job!
Don’t you just love my milk ghosts? I really wanted to do something different to incorporate the beverage, something I hadn’t seen before. So during my thinking I was literally staring at my Zephyrhills Aquapod water bottle, lightbulb! I ripped the bottle wrap and cap plastic and voila, the shape of a ghost somewhat. I cut out pieces of  black cardstock to make the eyes and mouth, filled them with milk and displayed a black and white straw! Adorable huh?
My new favorite tool is the wave punch I bought at Joann’s recently to make the backing of the cupcake toppers. I thought it was a better alternative to the scalloped and plain circle punch. Love it!
Behind the mousse cups you can kind of see the bat shaped grilled cheese sandwiches. I used a bat shaped cookie cutter for those and topped them with my printable food flag.
I wanted the favor tags in my Halloween Printable collection to be different. Using the ghost motif I designed I enlarged the image and added “thank you” and cut them out. They do take a little more time but love the way they look with the chartreuse ribbon and mini favor bag!”
