Chris said this about planning the event- ”For our Give Thanks play date, I set up the kids table outdoors since the weather here in Phoenix is very mild during Fall. I purchased a few pumpkins to use as center pieces and embellished them using silk flowers, ribbons and painted polkadots. Using the coordinated paper and turkey icons from the set, I made cute crayon holders using TP roll that was placed beside each place setting along with an activity sheet from the printable set. I also used the coordinated paper as placemats, the larger turkey icons from the set were used to decorated the back of their chairs.

The dessert table was as colorful and fun as the kids table. Using fabric that coordinated with the printable, I created the backdrop by covering a piece of foam board and added the Happy Thanksgiving banner. An orange polkadot fabric was used as a tablecloth. The kids enjoyed some yummy cake pops, sugar cookies, trail mix, cupcakes and turkey sandwiches.

At the craft station, kids made turkey hats using the coordinated paper from the printable, painted wooden indian masks, made cute turkey decorations and colored the turkey printable also from the set.

Favors were displayed on an old kid’s fence decorated with color coordinated paper bunting.

The kids had so much fun. If you have good weather in late fall, staging this party outdoors might be a fun way to do a kids’ table at your Thanksgiving dinner.”

Fall Harvest Playdate Party

This adorable FALL HARVEST PLAYDATE PARTY was submitted by Lauren Borquez of Capes and Crowns. Such a fun way to celebrate autumn!

Lauren said this about planning the party- “Fall is one of my favorite times of year. We have an amazing pumpkin patch in our area by the name of The Belue Place Pumpkin Patch. This weekend was their last full week in business so I decided to host a play date with my wonderful photographer/friend Danielle and her adorable little girl Charlie. I brought my oldest son, Kal-El along to join in on the fun! SwishDesigns created the adorable printables used for for this Fall Harvest themed play date and Hot Mama’s Bakery made all the yummy fall treats that the children snacked on.”

Rustic Owl Thanksgiving Party- FREE PRINTABLES!

This lovely RUSTIC OWL THANKSGIVING PARTY was submitted by Deanna Talwalkar of Mirabelle Creations! Such a beautiful party with so many wonderful ideas! The best part- the printable place cards, coloring sheets, leaves, and owl utensil holders can be downloaded for FREE here {the links are at the bottom of the post}!

Here is what Deanna had to say about planning the party- “{Dessert Table} We have a fall landscape painting by local artist, David Farmer, hanging in our living room. I’ve always envisioned a Thanksgiving dessert table set up beneath this beautiful painting. Since I wanted the painting to be the focus of the table, I kept most of the other decorations simple. And, like the painting, the desserts are rustic with just a little touch of glam.

For the desserts, I made a rustic Pumpkin Stack Cake. The Cake is a modern update to the classic Appalachian Apple Stack Cake (a rustic staple from Kentucky). It is made with pumpkin flavored cake and pumpkin butter between the many layers. It is served with cinnamon whipped cream. The dessert table also includes Maple Crème Cookies, Mini Apple Blueberry Pies, Pumpkin Pie, and Caramel Apples. I packaged extra Pumpkin Butter in mason jars to send home with all of the guests.

Although the painting is the focus of the table, I used a few other items to style the table. A gold pumpkin, gold acorns, a printable sign, and burlap cake stand flower also add rustic touches to the design.

{Thanksgiving Place Setting} The adult table place setting keeps with the rustic, glam look. The table is covered with burlap with a gold table runner down the center. Instead of a large centerpiece, red garden roses in small vases and mason jars decorated with gold paint sit down the center of the table. Spray painted ceramic turkeys and pumpkins embellish the table. A variety of red Spode plates sit atop woven charger plates. The napkins are tied with jute that was adorned with gold acorns.

{Kids Table} For the kids’ table, I first started by designing a printable collection which coordinates with the other printables. Even though the kids’ table incorporates the same colors and patterns, it’s not just a pint size version of the adult table. Fun touches at each place setting will keep the kids busy throughout Thanksgiving dinner. Owl coloring pages serve as place mats. Beside each plate, there are crayons and a little composition notebook that is covered with paper and a printable party circle. The kids can color on these items and on the craft paper that tops the table. The napkins are tied with a paper leaf and mini acorn owl made using felt.

The printable place cards, coloring sheets, leaves, and owl utensil holders can be downloaded for FREE here.”

“I Am Thankful” Thanksgiving Dessert Table – Printable Package

My next party feature goes to this beautiful “I AM THANKFUL FOR” THANKSGIVING DESSERT TABLE submitted by Paula Morrill of Party Like Paula. Such a lovely dessert bar! I love the brown & white with a touch of orange. The patterns are all so fun, too! This whole printable Thanksgiving collection can be purchased FOR ONLY $6 in Paula’s shop here Even though Thanksgiving is just a few days away there is still time to purchase this collection. All you do is print & cut..and you have it all! A simple way to spice up your Thanksgiving!
Here is what Paula said about the dessert table- “I handmade everything myself from the sweet treats to the decadent decor!  I even made the brown curtains out of a $15 bed sheet from WalMart. Cut down the middle, hem the sides, and VIOLA instant chic drapes! Caramel Apples are a staple for this time of year. I filled a basket with these yummy treats on top of some patterned paper from the new THANKSGIVING COLLECTION.  Sticks take the place of popsicle sticks and a small accent of tied twine on top. How about some caramel corn?  Sweet, sticky, crunchy and oh so easy to make. A sweet drink is always a nice choice for a dessert table.  Apple cider is not only yummy in your tummy, but makes your house smell super UHmazing while you are making it! Molasses cookies are soft and flavorful.  Right out of the oven with some cider screams THANKSGIVING! If you are watching your waistline this season then you have to try Pumpkin Pie Frozen Yogurt.  Served in hollowed out mini pumpkins with a dessert flag makes you feel like you are eating something more decadent than you are!
The patterned paper in my new collection can be wrapped around candles and made into a table runner.  Napkin rings and place cards bring unity to the table through the same brown and white pattern.  Add drink flags to your glasses or party circles for a festive touch.  Remember to lay out the “I Am Thankful For…” cards and have your guests reflect on what they are thankful for this year.  Hang the cards up with the “Give Thanks” banner and you are all set!  Don’t forget about the kids this Thanksgiving!  My Printable Thanksgiving Collection includes a Pick Your Pumpkin Game Page, Turkey Coloring Page, Thanksgiving Math Page and 2 Fry Boxes! This Printable Thanksgiving Package includes printable PDF files for:
