This yoga party is so creative. I love how the yoga theme and pink decor perfectly tie together femininity with health. Here are some of my favorite things about this party:
The chevron print painted wood frame
The pipe cleaners shaped into yoga positions on the favor bags
The chevron print washi tape
The yoga position cookies
and MORE!

This is what Kerri said about the party- “I have been doing yoga for about 6 months now and LOVE it. The instructor at the Yoga studio just started offering yoga parties so I, of course hadto host one! My daughter, Karlie loves doing the poses with me so I thought it would be fun to do a mother/daughter party with a small group of friends.

I am a freelance graphic designer (also design for an AWESOME frame company, Wild Sorbet Frame Company) so I designed all the party printables (available in my etsy shop, Big K, little k designs). I wanted to keep the food mostly healthy so I chose to do hummus cupcakes, trail mix, fruit, spinach dip, fruit water, and peach tea.

We started off by choosing toe rings (it’s a yoga thing-hehe) and then getting on our yoga mats. The instructor guided us through lots of poses that were kid friendly. Our daughters had so much fun getting to jump around and be silly. We then gave the daughters a foot massage and then they went to play while the mommie’s enjoyed a few minutes of quiet time and a foot massage from the instructor.

We then enjoyed our snacks and let the kids play while the mommies got in some gab time. Our instructor made the cutest treat bags where she shaped pipe cleaners into yoga poses.

It was such a fun party and it was great to have some mother, daughter time. Everyone had  a blast!”

Here’s what Erin said about planning this party- “Sometimes when I’m feeling run down…I just need a night with the girls. My husband was out of town for the weekend, so this was the perfect time to throw a Chick Flick Movie Night!  It was seriously so fun!!!

I designed a printable set based on some movie Starlets from the 50′s and 60′s.  I chose Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Doris Day and Audrey Hepburn. The set includes invitations, games, cupcake wrappers, tent cards, straw flags, pillow boxes, and much more! You’ll have everything you need to pull off the perfect movie night party.

I wanted to create a movie theater feel, without the stinky movie theater carpet (seriously, why is there carpet in movie theaters…so gross?!) We had movie candy (dots, red vines, junior mints, etc), buttered popcorn, sodas, and the added bonus of cupcakes!! Instead of using paper plates, which I think are annoying to eat off of because everything slides off, I made box trays…just like what you’d use in a theater. They were super handy and way cuter than paper plates. Everything fit perfectly in these little trays (which are included in my printable set).

Doris Day is my favorite actress…her movies are ADORABLE and hilarious, so we watched Pillow Talk. I was surprised that most people I invited hadn’t seen it, but everyone LOVED it…definitely a MUST SEE. During the movie, we played “Chick Flick Bingo.” It has things on it like first kiss, dancing, singing…you know…all the chick flick criteria.”

Yellow and Burlap Vintage Bridal Shower

This YELLOW & BURLAP VINTAGE BRIDAL SHOWER submitted by Jenny Marrs of Marrs Memories is just lovely! I hope you love it as much as I do. There is definitely a lot of darling shower ideas!

“This was a bridal shower that I hosted for my sister. We incorporated the wedding colors of yellow and grey into the theme. We wanted the shower to be lighthearted and fun and used details like chalkboards and personalized signs for the food and drink tables. We used old crates and vintage boxes to display the desserts on the dessert bar. The dessert bar included cake pops, cupcakes and mini cheesecakes and they were all a hit! Each guest took home a jar of homemade citrus salt body scrub in a mini mason jar.” Vendors and Credits: Party Favors (Homemade Citrus Salt Body Scrub with chalkboard painted lids), found HERE Paper Straws – Isa Kay Boutique Desserts – Darland Bakery of Orlando, FL Items used that are available in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop: Burlap Table Cloth Apothecary Jars Paper Straws Mason Jars Balloons Jute Twine

Tiffany Blue House Warming Party

I fell in love with this beautiful TIFFANY INSPIRED HOUSE WARMING PARTY sent in by Daisy Kelvin of Leo & Bella. I mean, how cute are those delicate tiffany blue cupcakes and skeleton key cookies?! Daisy said– “Here is my tiffany inspired housewarming party for a girl’s new bachelorette pad. She requested something feminine & elegant and the first thing that pop into my mind was blue, white and black an inspiration drawn from a stationery set by Polkadot Prints that I fell in love with. I decided to use all clear jars, cake stands and vessels to bring a little vintage into the table as most of the pieces on the table are antique which also complements the mirrored buffet that we sat the dessert table on. Guest were served champagne and desserts. We had cake pops, mini lemon meringue, banana cupcakes and the yummiest Panna Cotta by Helen of Kiss My Cakes. Also on the table we had the ‘Bastille’ Moët & Chandon + Black Current macaroons in white and a Violet and Blueberry baby blue macaroon from Melbourne’s cutest macaroon vendor La Belle Miette. We have 2 candy jars filled with orange blossom and vanilla Persian Fairy Floss and 2 jars of white chocolate macadamias. The gorgeous Noo from Dessert Menu, Please created the cutest Tiffany key cookies on the table and smaller ones filled in mini apothecary jars as a take home gift.” Vendor Credits: Stylist: Leo & Bella Printables: Polkadot Prints Cupcakes & Desserts: Kiss My Cakes Cookies: Dessert Menu, Please Macaroons: La Belle Miette Photography: Jess, White Sparks Photography
