This enchanting FLAMENCO SPANISH DANCER + ROSE THEMED PARTY was submitted by Sibel Sahinkaya of Sibella.
This flamenco ballroom dancer party is so unique and lovely. There are so many elements that I like about it, including:
The rose shaped cake pops with gold edges
The multi layer burlap tablecloth
The gold doily and lace wrapped chocolate bars used for party favors
The stacked wooden crates painted on one end with chalkboard paint and labeled with the birthday girl’s name and age
and MORE!
Here’s what Sibel said about planning the party- “As a mother, the most important thing for me is to leave precious memories for my children. My beautiful son Arda has severe food allergies therefore has missed out on a lot of his friends and families birthday functions. Which is why when I style their birthdays I put in a little extra for them. I styled this party for my daughter Asya’s 2nd birthday and had everything safe for Arda. the beautiful Angel @ ElevatorLoveStory has always kept him safe ! All her deserts and cakes are made specially for Arda . Wheat, gluten, egg and nut free. . I think everything should be done in style :-) parties are one of those things.. I really enjoyed putting this party together.. my kids were kept safe and happy!”

Here’s what Kathy said about planning the party- “This year for my daughter’s fifth birthday party, I decided to celebrate her love for animals and throw her a safari animal party. Everything was DIY. For the invitations I found a zebra and a giraffe card in Michael’s Store from National Geographic and I used that as inspiration for the colors and themed, I used the front of the card and made the invitations with burlap, also I used burlap to decorate the mason jars cups. The animals on the centerpieces logs are from Target and the small ones that I put in the party favor plastic bags are from Party City. My husband helped me to cut the logs for the centerpieces, the cake stand and the drink stand. The chocolate cake was made by my mom and also the table cloth for the dessert table, she made it with burlap. The happy birthday, explore, and safari signs are made with burlap and the letters are painted with a stencil. I sewed the giraffe and the zebra fabric bags and transferred the animals that I printed in my home printer, I printed the animals in a fabric transfer paper with a technique that I found on the Internet, very easy!! The binoculars are made with toilet paper rolls, very cheap, I just glued them together and painted them with a black spray paint and the final touch was the zebra duck tape. I found the safari hats at Amazon.com, also very cheap. My cousin Claudia from Guatemala made this beautiful animal masks, she is very talented, the kids loved them!! After everyone had their gear they were ready for an adventure. The kids headed off on a Safari Adventure looking for plastic animals that had been hidden around the woods. My friends Jaime and Eric Cho helped me to entertained the kids with fun games and activities, the kids were very excited!! National Geographic has a lot of activities for an animal or safari themed!! Elizabeth had a great time with her friends and family, also because her grandparents were here visiting from Guatemala!! Definitely she is going to remember her 5th Birthday Party!!”
Here’s what Nellie said about planning the party- “Coming up with this theme for our daughter, Navy’s, first birthday was easy! With a nautical name, it was only her destiny to have a fun Sailor Girl themed party! I am the owner and designer of nellie*design, and I create printable party invites & decorations, so I considered this a high priority job and had a blast creating a beautiful and special day to celebrate my baby girl!
To set the tone for the party, each guest received a simple, preppy invitation in the mail, inside of a 5×7 flat kraft paper bag. I wrapped a {printable} envelope address label around the outside of the kraft bag to personalize them, and secured the “envelope” closed with navy polka dot washi tape! The invites are double sided, with a fun navy polka dot pattern background.
At the party, the party favor table was a main focal point. Pink & navy tissue poms made a fun statement as the back drop, with a printable birthday banner. Each little sailor received their own personalized sailor hat and a box full of “life rings” {aka powdered donuts!}. The sailor hats were personalized with a printable name tag.
The Sweets Table was another highlight of the party, with pink frosted cupcakes, a polka dot cake, mini fruit pizzas and other fun treats. Printable party decor spruced up the table with food label tent cards, cupcake topper “sails”, large “sail” signage and party tags. A navy and white striped wooden boat hull was filled with take-home pretzel fish snacks and a large sail played as the backdrop for the table.
Some of my favorite food/drink items that coordinated with the theme, included a watermelon “boat” and pink lemonade filled with blueberries! The drink station was a “printable party” dream… with everything labeled, from the water bottles, to juice boxes to flags on each navy striped straw. Mason jars were tied with a printable tag and a life saver candy.”

Here’s what Toni said about planning the party- “I recently had the wonderful opportunity to help plan my niece’s 3rd birthday party. After discussing themes with my sister in law, she decided upon a Mad Hatter Tea Party. I got right to work on the party. I knew I wanted something different then the traditional wild and whimsy Mad Hatter type party. I will have to admit, I haven’t seen Alice in Wonderland in many years, if at all. So, when I saw it coming on TV I recorded and watched with my boys.
I decided upon a pink and blue color theme with some golden yellows. I knew I needed to add mismatched china, clocks, and keys to the party as well. I contacted Jennifer of BellaGreyDesigns right away and she created the fabulous cupcake toppers and the large circle centerpieces. She also created food cards and a Happy Birthday Banner!
After printing out the awesome printables from Jennifer, I attached pink and blue glitter paper to the back and matching ribbon and accents, including a key to the large centerpieces, to give each one something extra to stand out! I searched the nearby thrift store for lots of china plates, cups, and a tea pot. To create the mini topiaries, I reused old brass candlesticks, painted, and added a green grass ball from Hobby Lobby that was on clearance. I topped each mini topiary with a matching butterfly. A mushroom, snail, and pocket watch are also included in the decor for the subtle hint of wonderland. I cut a banner with the same glitter paper and matching ribbon as the cupcake toppers.
Using an old mirror I purchased at a resale shop, I painted the frame pink and removed the glass. I lined the back with the blue glitter paper and added an A for the birthday girl. The blue cupcake stand is made from a painted candlestick and metal tray from the dollar tree, painted and adhered together.
I am lucky enough to have the fabulous Kimberly and Loren’s Sweet Treats provide the amazingly yummy cupcakes, adorably matching cookies, and delish petite fours.”

Here’s what Ashley said about planning the party- “For my daughter’s 8th birthday she told me she wanted her party to be Purple, Pink and Black and a fun theme for her friends. So we decided on doing a rock star party with that color scheme and then also added some teal. From there I designed her Rock Star Printables and we used guitars and lots of stars throughout all her party decorations. We picked bold colors to really stand out against the black.
DIY Projects: We did lots of DIY projects for her party, always fun and normally saves some omoney making the items yourself. First I made the Name Blocks, bought a 2×4 and cut it in’t 5in and 3in blocks and then spray painted them all black. I then used my handy Cricut and cut our her name using Glitter cardstock. Second we made the glitter Star Garland , using our cricut we also cut out some glitter stars in 2 different sizes and taped them to clear fishing line. This garland was used for our back drop. We also created the center pieces using our guitar extra larger printables, hot pink tulle, and blume boxes, perfect for your table center pieces. We also made the Tassel Garland for the backs of the chairs. I had some paper mache boxes so I painted them pink and teal and we wrapped ribbon around them for the dessert table, to give the cake plates some different heights.
Dessert Table: To start with I contacted some of my favorite vendors and sent them some sample printables so we could keep the same theme and colors throughout all our desserts. Roni from Roni’s Sugar Creations sent me the most delicious chocolate caramels apples with big purple and pink bows and them we added small glitter stars to the middle of the bows. We put them on really pretty black trays we got from Nikka of Triple M Good Parties she makes really pretty cake plates and stands. I also got some amazing cake pops from Cupcake Cuties Bakery, we sent her some of our striped straws and we cut them down do fit perfectly for our cake pops, she added glitter swirl’s to each cake pop so fun and cute. Ang from Icings by Ang sent me the most amazing decorated sugar cookies, her art work on the rock star cookies is stunning. Next I ordered some Fondant Cupcake Toppers to match our Printables from Rachel Skvaril of Fondant Fingers, and they matched perfectly. I also ordered chocolate covered Oreos from Maria of Love & Sugar Kisses she incorporated our chevron print which was amazing on the Oreos along with other designs to match. I stayed up late as always and did my midnight baking the night before the party to make some yummy Chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting to go on each side of the dessert table. I also go some bonier bites from the store and added leftover buttercream frosting in star shapes. We also added some chocolate Hershey’s candy bars using our Printable wrappers on each end of the table along with some Hershey’s kisses with our printable rock star mini stickers.”
