“A soft baby shower was set up in a back yard under a pleasant canopy/tent. A lot of pinks and shades of green were used throughout the spread. The doilies and flowers really added to the whole design.”
This ENCHANTED FAIRY 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Jasmine Shah of IDEA! event + style. I love all the bright pink and yellow. Such a cute party…
Jasmine said- “When I first met with the Fairy Mommy of this party to check out their gorgeous backyard (the party venue), I absolutely fell in love with the beautiful stone wall and waterfall that they had installed a couple years ago. Instantly I knew that would be the backdrop for our magical fairy party. Next came the task of planning a backdrop that you could look through, to see the waterfall. This is how the frame with the vines and butterflies twirled around it came about. Sadly, we eventually had to move the table a few feet away from the waterfall because we ended up needing the wall for support. It was too windy, but hey, at least it didn’t rain!
I always like to incorporate the birthday child’s name into the decor somehow, which is where I enlisted the help of my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the letters for SUHANI’S name. These were hung from the top of the frame with green ribbon. I loved how the piece turned out! Simple, but large impact.”

This LITTLE BIRD TWINS 1st BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Roberta Ferraz of Studio Decor Eventos is absolutely stunning! WOW is all I can say!
Roberta said- “This was a twin girls 1st birthday party held in their grandmother´s yard. The birds themed was chosen by their mother who used to call the girls little birds, because they were born too tiny.”
How precious is this APRIL SHOWERS BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Danielle Arcese of Cuttie Puttie? All the party elements are divine. I think the “Pocketful of Posies” cookies are my favorite!
Danielle said- “Spring is definitely in the air here in NY, and April’s rainy days are around the corner. But the hope of May’s beautiful blooming flowers is what inspired me to create this dainty spring collection! I designed this collection for a sweet April 3rd birthday party, but it could work for a baby shower or bridal shower too! A dainty floral and raindrops pattern makes up the main background design of this collection. Instead of a blank white center background, I opted for a faint rain cloud and shower pattern to add to the rainy feel. The text is done in a subtle grey color, instead of the standard black. After all, rainy days are grey.
For the table, I opted for a pale aqua blue backdrop, framed at the top with white tissue paper pom clouds. I strung a few hand cut rain drops from clear fishing string from the center of each of the pom poms. The grey mini dresser I scored at my local Home Goods store, and the set of mini cupcake bell jars I purchased from Save on Crafts. Milk glass cake stands in pale pink and jade green I recently purchased from Mosser glass Company.
There were raindrop shaped cake pops sprinkled with sanding sugar to add to the water feel and chocolate covered Marshmallow Tulips, topped with pink pearl nonpareils. I displayed these on mint green and white striped paper straws, and slipped some hand cut paper leaves on the straw to give my Tulips leaves. There were also mini white cotton candy clouds, pistachio macarons from the delicious Bouchon Bakery here in NYC and pink lemonade flavor filled chocolate truffles with dainty chocolate flowers on top. And there was a pink ribbon-iced buttercream mini cake, Jumbo rose buttercream cupcakes, and blue fruit punch rain water refreshments.
Favors included beautiful floral patterned sugar cookies from the talented Ren of Dainty Delights (www.daintydelightsinc.etsy.com). I tucked the sugar cookie favors in adorable doily pockets, to make Pocketful of Posies for the little guests to take home. The guests also received a cute pot of lip gloss shaped as little flowers.”

This precious SECRET GARDEN 7TH BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Kara Abrahamsen of Lillian Hope Designs. Isn’t it just lovely?
Kara said– “This party was styled for my daughter Lilly’s 7th birthday! She was madly in love with the book ‘SECRET GARDEN’ and had this great idea to have a Secret Garden Party! I of course jumped on this idea…I love shabby chic and vintage style parties and was so excited to start styling one for her 7th birthday.
It took me a while to figure out what direction I wanted to go…then I found a fantastic paper pack on Etsy from HelloLoveToo and I fell in love with the print!
In the invitations we sent out plastic glitter keys so that the girls could unlock the magical garden gate as they entered into the secret garden. As the guest arrived they had many {backyard garden games} they could walk around and play as they wished (hula hoops, skipping rope, hopscotch, potato sack races, spoon races with fake eggs, and bubble blowing).
After the girls were finished playing backyard garden games. They got dressed up with some shabby chic accessories and took pictures at the {photo booth}. This was Lilly’s favorite part of the entire party!
Cake and desserts came next! They were able to go up and get as many sweets as their little hearts desired from the dessert table! My friend Alyssa made the beautiful cake and bird cookies. She is incredibly talented and is thinking about starting her own bakery…something I am constantly encouraging her to do! She had some other great cupcakes that we were going to use, but a mild soccer ball accident with her son changed that;-)! Instead she got cupcakes from a local bakery the day of the party (what a lifesaver).
We played find the garden gate key. A friend of mine hid the keys all around the garden. The girls had to run and find them. Once they found one they went to the prize table and picked out their butterfly nets and flower headbands. Then they filled a treat box with magnets, hairclips, and other girly accessories.
It was then time to paint their flower pots and plant their flowers to take home! I am sure the parents loved me sending home so many items with the children ;-).
My daughter has chosen for the last two years to donate her gifts. So this year she donated them to a program called Teen Mops. Everyone was asked to bring a gift of $15 or less to donate.”
