Rose Garden 1st Birthday Party

This delightful ROSE GARDEN FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted and styled by Joanne Charmand of Cakes by Joanne Charmand in conjunction with White Room Photography.

This rose garden party is so lovely! A few of my favorite elements & party ideas are:

The pink roses held up by paper straw stems and cake pop bases
The beehive shaped clear glass drink dispensers
The vintage wheelbarrow filled with cotton candy
The white picket fence surrounding the entire “garden” as well as the white lattice backdrop behind the dessert table

Here’s what Joanne said about planning the party- “I made all the cakes, sweet treats and helped style, along with White Room Photography, this “Rose Garden” themed 1st birthday party. It was complete with white picket fences and a colour palette of pink and mint. We even used fake grass indoors! I especially liked the cake shaped into a watering can with roses and the fondant rose cupcakes.”

Shabby Vintage High Tea Bridal Shower

Shabby Chic Bridal Shower

You are going to fall in love with this SHABBY CHIC BRIDAL SHOWER submitted by Justine Clarke of Sensationally Sweet Events! All the details are just fantastic! So many beautiful ideas here!

Justine said this about planning the party- “My business is based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia and I was asked to put together a pretty & shabby chic Spring bridal shower for my client which included lollies, desserts and a champagne bar. The colours for this party were a pale aqua; influenced by the shade of some gorgeous little photo frames I found as well as pale pink and peach which were the predominant colours in some fabric remnants I had leftover from another event that I had planned to use. I crafted for a while for this party with some old vintage cake and biscuit carriers glued down onto painted candle sticks and given a new lease of life and turned into cake stands with pretty ribbon and fabric tied around the bases. I also found a simple wicker basket at a garage sale that I painted aqua and tied fabric to the handles. Treats on the table included chocolate brownies, caramel fudge, cake pops, cupcakes and ombre marshmallow pops plus a selection of lollies in jars. Cake and marshmallow pops were stuck in a vintage bread baking tray that I wrapped with pretty fabric and ribbons and favour bags were simply decorated with aqua ric-rac glued to the top. Glass jars were simply decorated with craft roses glued onto the sides and filled with pink grapefruit and champagne jelly and I served pink champagne in glittered glasses (followed the tutorial I found on-line from Something Turquoise with ‘Zoe loves Sam’ tags stuck to sugar swizzle sticks in each glass.”

90th Birthday Colorful Garden Party

This 90TH BIRTHDAY COLORFUL GARDEN PARTY was submitted by Kenna O’Brien of Miss Party Mom. What a lovely celebration celebrating something so special! You can tell that Kenna loves her husband’s grandmother very much!

Here is what Kenna had to say about planning the party- “This party was for my husband’s sweet Grandmother, Roberta who turned 90 this Summer. My mother-in-law envisioned lots of bright floral garden-style decor mixed with a pool side feel, so I did just that. We rented the pool deck at the Historic Santa Maria Inn in Santa Maria, CA and I was assisted by their Event Coordinator, Stephanie Purple, with set up. This party was incredibly fun to shop for with all of the great colors and girly touches. I really wanted to create something with a “90″ in it to honor such a special age so I crafted (from muffin size cupcake tins) one to be the main table centerpiece. I ombred it pink with spray paint and the entire thing cost me $8 and took about an hour from start to finish. My friend Hannah Henry and I worked on the branches that surrounded it, they are made of of scrapbook paper, cut in to leaves with floral wire sandwiched in between them. This was tedious but costs next to nothing if you have even just small scraps of scrapbook paper lying around!

The graphics really made the table pop, from the pennants to the cupcake picks, Jodi Broglio of Jolio Design really helped me tie it all together with the perfect party package of graphics.

Other special details from the party included our Family Tree table which had photos of Roberta through the years- as well as her family. They were displayed in antique looking brightly spray painted frames and our version of a guest book (frame matting for a future party photo) was also on the table to be signed.

Hannah & I made flower and “90″ shaped sugar cookies for the party favors, I handmade the cake pops and Gina’s Piece of Cake in the Santa Maria Mall did the center cake and all of the cupcakes.”

Butterfly Themed Bridal Shower

This gorgeous & stunning BUTTERFLY THEMED SUMMER BRIDAL SHOWER was submitted by Sandra Thomasian. The details and decor at this soiree are just incredible! Everything is so pretty!

Sandra said- “I want to present to you the most colorful, summertime bridal shower you could imagine. I have always had a love for butterflies, so it was only fitting for my mother and sister to throw me a bridal shower themed around just that. No detail was left unturned here, from florals in the shape of butterflies to butterfly drink tags to butterflies peeking out of corner along the vibrantly adorned tables. Something I like in particular about the shower was the absence of hokey games replaced by more contemporary ideas like ‘Guess the Spice?’, Decorate the Wedding Cake, Advice for the bride, and the Make a Bouquet Contest.”
