Curious George 4th Birthday Party

Who has a child who loves Curious George?! If you do, then this adorable CURIOUS GEORGE FOURTH BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Meredith Tomasulo of That’s My Kind of Party is for you! So many darling ideas here that you won’t want to miss!

Meredith said this about planning the party- “My son turned 4, I can’t believe it – seems like just yesterday we were bringing the little guy home. He is all boy and loves his firetrucks but he also really loves to read – especially Curious George. The week after my daughter’s 2nd birthday (here) he told me he definitely wanted a ‘George’ party. It is all he talked about so I started planning. When we read Curious George and the Firefighters I knew I had to combine both ideas AND give every child the book as the favor.

DECOR: It wasn’t hard to combine the Curious George and the Firetruck theme. I printed pictures from the book and had them framed on the table. I laid a bookcase on its side and filled the shelves with bananas, Curious George stuffed animal and a fire hat. There was a fireman’s pole with George sliding down on the table. We also used lots of firetrucks around the room. The fireman hats were hung on a frame that the kids grabbed as they headed outside. As a tradition the front door was painted in the birthday theme- A big Curious George holding balloons.

FOOD AND SWEETS: The birthday boy had 2 requests-cupcakes in a icecream cone and pirate booty/popcorn in popcorn boxes. No problem. Twizzlers were fireman poles, banana runt candy and pretzels were monkey food and the kids loved the donut holes and the fruit skewers. I made my famous cake pops with rainbow sprinkles. The kids ate Chef pisghetti bagel bites and the adults had homemade baked ziti.

ACTIVITIES: The local Fire Co sent a Firetruck to our house! We called 4 Alarm Fire and all the kids ran outside. They got to climb inside the truck, sit in the chairs, try on the boots and hats and my son even got to sound the siren before they left. The faces on the kids when this truck pulled up was priceless!!

FAVORS: All kids received a firemans hat with a George sticker on the front, Curious George and the Firefighters book and a swirl lollipop.”

Firetruck Themed 3rd Birthday Party

How fun is this FIRETRUCK + FIREMAN THEMED 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Stephanie Keeping of Spaceships and Laser Beams!

Stephanie said- “My son is obsessed with fire trucks, so for his third birthday we developed a new Firefighting Fun collection that was really unique and I used it as the basis for the overall feel of the party. I used boxes to create a block of buildings and used those as the vessels. The cut out characters brought a little whimsy to what might have been a more austere look otherwise.

The centerpiece of the table was the tall birthday cake on the left side of the table. It’s a flavor called “The Elvis” and is banana cake with peanut butter icing. It tastes amazing. A square Styrofoam cake dummy sat below the actual cake and gave it an impressive height and then the entire thing was covered in fondant. The fire truck topper was also a show stopper. The other treats were firetruck cupcakes (carrot with fondant icing), burning building cupcakes (vanilla with butter cream icing), white chocolate dipped Oreos with dark chocolate dalmatian spots, black licorice fire hoses, and jellybean water buckets.”

Firetruck 3rd Birthday Party

Stop, drop and roll! This clever FIRETRUCK 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Alison M. English of The English Pea Studio. I absolutely love it.
Here is what Alison had to say about the party– “My little guy decided on a fire truck theme for his 3rd birthday party. Our local fire department has a gorgeous, restored vintage fire truck that graces the front lawn of one of their firehouses. I created the fire truck and fire hydrant from photographs that I took at that scene.
I wanted to create a modern twist using the chevron pattern throughout the décor. I also used small black polka dots on a white background mimicking the dots on a Dalmatian.
In keeping with a rustic, vintage theme I used burlap, old wood crates, mason jars, and old glass jars as containers. I found several lovely accessories – a hat, truck and fire hydrant you see pictured. I carried the black and white polka dots through the food in offering chocolate covered marshmallow pops, white chocolate covered oreos, and white chocolate dipped pretzel rods. The cake was adorned with a Dalmatian and a red fire hydrant made specific for the event.
For an educational twist I used the words “stop, drop, and roll” on some of the elements and on the party favor bags – a fun way to remember a key instruction in fire safety.
We began the party with a tour of a local firehouse. The children enjoyed looking at the truck, learning about each vehicle, equipment, and the fireman’s attire and living quarters. Our tour guide was informative and fun and each child left the fire house with a hat and coloring book. We headed back to my home for the rest of the festivities where we ate and opened gifts. In addition to the hats and coloring books each child left with a favor bag – designed to echo the same patterns used in the décor. The bags were filled with “fireman’s rope” (red twizzlers), “drops” (red cherry sours), and “rolls” (tootsie rolls).
The fire tour was a big hit with all the children and a fun and informative activity that was offered free to the public by our local fire department. Fun was had by all!”Vendor Credits:

Firetruck Birthday Party!

Today’s winning party feature goes to this super adorable FIRE TRUCK 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Spotted Ink! So cute. Everything is displayed beautifully. And the photos are fantastic {taken by Chard Photography}!
Tiffany created a VIP Picnic for the party. All the food was designed to be easily put into a picnic basket. Even the birthday cake was packaged in cute mason jars with custom labels and custom “caution tape” ribbon. On the grass in front of the tents, she had a picnic blanket, picnic basket and personalized signs for each child so they would have a place to sit. In the basket, she created a card that said “It’s a VIP picnic and we are so glad you’ve joined our bunch. Grab your basket and fill with with goodies for your lunch. And after you’ve had your cake, don’t forget the basket and blanket, they are yours to take!” LOVE it.
Tiffany also hired a real, retired fire truck and two firemen that came to the party and gave the kids rides around the neighborhood! How fun!!
