Western Turquoise Baby Shower

I am loving this WESTERN TURQUOISE BABY SHOWER submitted by Miranda Konieczny of Whimsical Printables. The brown and aqua colors made everything so darling!

Miranda said- “I was super excited when my friend Dara agreed to let me throw her a baby shower! She was really excited when I told her that I wanted to do a western themed shower and incorporate turquoise!! So I gathered up my party gals and went to town on it all. The wonderful welcome wreath came from the very talented Natalie of the The Knock-Knock Factory. She knew exactly what I wanted and captured it so well! My friend and fellow hostess, Brandi, tea stained onesies for me and I put these cute iron on’s on them! I really loved being able to hang them with the rope. I also love making diaper cakes and this one was really fun. As was setting up the tables! The “Make A Wish” station was a real hit as well. I couldn’t believe I found a horseshoe tree either! Each guest was able to write a small note for the baby and hang from the tree. The adorable cookies were made by Dandy Delights. She always makes the most perfect cookies for me! Lynlee from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes always makes my fondant toppers for me and I am blown away each time by her creativity! I decided to try out the chocolate covered Oreos I hear everyone raving about and omg, they are SOOOO good! Sweet Temptations did an amazing job on them too. Each guest got to go home with a small berry basket with a package of sunflower seeds. They also had lots to carry from the dessert table. The winners of the games each received a mason jar filled with the ingredients for “cowboy cookies”, made using a very easy and wonderful idea that I found via Bakerella.com. Girly Cowgirl Farm Themed Birthday Party

I’m lovin’ this good ole’ GIRLY FARM THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Amber LeBlanc of Fashionably Baked!

Amber said- “There weren’t many details that were left out for my daughter’s 5th birthday party. The burlap, mini bales of hay, and chocolate mustaches were just a few of the details that made this a COWGIRL party to remember!

The cake was simple. I made a few strings of mini bunting flags and wrapped a wooden number 5 with some jute. The hankies I used throughout the party (seen under the cake and used to place the cowgirl cookies on top of) were from Fabric Depot.

In addition to all of the different cookies I made, we had “Happy Trails Mix” with little jute favor bags that I hand stamped with a horseshoe. All burlap and jute bags I purchased from Online Fabric Store. We also had Banana Pudding Shooters with bamboo spoons tied with a ribbon to each shooter that I got from Shop Bakers Nook.The Blueberry Pie Pops were made using Bakerella’s tutorial.

The cowboy prop took quite some time to paint, but was the perfect touch to have all the kiddos looking like real cowboys.

For the invitation I printed it on an ivory cardstock, ripped it all the way around, and placed it on a burlap background. Inspired by Lulu’s Cowgirl Chic Birthday on Hostess with the Mostess.”

Purple Farm Birthday Party

I wanted to showcase a fun and different party today. This PURPLE FARM 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Kaci Uipi of Parties By Kaci is SO cute & original. Who would have thought that ‘purple’ and ‘farm’ mix– love it!PARTY DETAILS told by Kaci–”I wanted to give everything as much detail as possible to make this party extra special! This included…litle green flags on the drink straws, tiny fabric flowers glued on the lollipops, burlap and ribbon tied around flower vases, wooden labels for the milk bottles, etc. I made everything from scratch–including all the desserts, banners, signs, and backdrop. Sweet Table-I wanted this table to definitely have an over-load of sweets and candy! I used different shades of purple and lilac for a monochromatic feel. And again, I painted and spray-painted everything (baskets, crates) with different shades of purple. I accented with touches of chartreuse… {party details continued below}

“The cake was the focal point and I wanted this to be the tallest thing on the table. So, I actually went to Home Depot and cut wood so I could construct a custom box for the cake to sit on. I then painted it with lilac acrylic paint. On either sides of the cake were the cupcakes. I bought wooden crates and spray painted those, and then had the cupcakes on identical cake pedestals (from Crate and Barrel) which I placed on top of the crates.

Kids’ Tables-I covered the kids’ tables first with burlap, then with a dark purple “runner” made with taffeta. I added one green ribbon going down the center. I placed small vases of purple and green flowers mixed with painted candle holders on the tables as center pieces. Kids’ Lunches-I purchased quart-sized wooden berry baskets from online and spray-painted them purple (of course). I then tied a piece of twine and a little barn silhouette (that I found online and printed on brown paper) on each one. I wrapped the lunch in a square piece of lilac satin and tied in a double knot. Inside were almond butter and strawberry sandwiches cut out in cute shapes. I also found the milk jars online and had my husband drill a hole into each lid where the straw would go. (These were 2 year olds, so I knew there would be spillage!) For an extra detail, I made hand-painted wooden labels that said, “Milk” for each jar. Adult Food Table-I covered this with burlap, and then placed moss all around the white platters of food. The menu included: 1. sandwiches of roasted organic chicken, arugula, pesto, sun dried tomato mayo, and fresh mozzarella 2. sandwiches of roasted turkey breast, bacon, roasted red pepper mayo, and spinach 3. vegetable tray with spinach herb dressing 4. fruit tray 5. cheese tray 6. fresh tortilla chips with guacemole and heirloom tomato pico de gallo 7. salad of organic mixed greens, roasted red beets, toasted walnuts, goat cheese, bacon, and champagne vinaigrette I made 2 large banners to hang on either side of the adult food table: One that said “EAT”, and another that said “YUM”.
