Safari Jungle themed birthday party via Kara's Party Ideas #jungle #safari #birthday #party #ideas #cake #idea #baby #shower #1st #decorations #supplies

This delightful SAFARI JUNGLE THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted and styled by Natalia of Lacos and Acucar.

This safari party has so many intricate details and fabulous ideas! This theme would also be an adorable baby shower!

A few of the things that stand out the most to me in this darling party are:
  • The fondant elephant cupcake toppers
  • The party favors displayed like they’re in a souvenir shop
  • The amazingly intricate candy coated apples
  • and MORE!
Here’s what Natalia said about planning the party- “The safari theme was chosen by the mother because she loves elephants. She asked me to make a very cute and nice table with different kind of sweets, so that’s what we did. The safari bag shaped treats are honey cakes covered by chocolate, the animal heads are chocolate truffles and the little animals close to the cake are done by chocolate only. We also did a very cute banana bottle decor with little monkeys. Special attention for the cupcakes by making the fondant elephant toppers. They were so cute.”

Circus Themed Baby Shower

I’m loving this CIRCUS THEMED BABY SHOWER submitted by Jennifer Stolfi! The ferris wheel cupcake holder in the middle of the table is my favorite!

Jennifer said this about planning the party- “This was a Circus Themed Baby Shower that I threw for my sister, Katie. She’s having a baby girl named Claire. A couple years ago I fell in love with and purchased a wrought iron Ferris wheel and have been dying to have a circus party! The Ferris wheel became the inspiration and focal point for the shower. I have a slight obsessions with crafting and party planning so most everything at the party was made by me from almost all the desserts to all the decorations.

Decor:
I choose bright fun girly colors of yellow, orange, hot pink, light pink and turquoise for all the decor and desserts. A colorful ribbon banner hung from the dessert table and we placed tissue balls over an old painting to create a beautiful work of art behind the table. I made elephant and giraffe pictures to hand on either side of this. These were a gift to my sister to hang in the babies room. Balloons, streamers and sparkly circle garland hung over the main room to create a “big top” and were used as decorations throughout the party. Spray painted gold animals we scattered all over the party right down to the cake topper and jars filled with peanuts and flags were used as table centerpieces.

Food:
All of the food was circus themed from pulled pork and chicken salad sliders, chips and dip, mini corn dogs, fruit kabobs, pretzel bites dipped in cheese and tater tots. The dessert table included Elephant sugar cookies, white powdered sugar donuts, cupcakes with cotton candy toppers, white chocolate covered popcorn, iced animal crackers, a gorgeous polka dot cake and an assortment of candy.

Favors:
The favors were pink scalloped boxes filled with frosted animal crackers.

Game:
Each guest drew and envelope from a basket that contained a picture of a baby. The lady who found the baby with “mama” or “dada”: picture on it won. The prizes were big clear bowls filled with all sorts of popcorn and chocolate lollipop lips and mustaches.

To top the day off, my husband surprised me by buying our dog the cutest lion costume. The circus was complete with wild animals to help celebrate!”

Pink Elephant 1st Birthday Party

Peanuts and pink elephants- it can’t get much cuter than this! My next feature goes to this darling PINK ELEPHANT 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Events by Kate. The first thing that stuck out to me was the fun tissue pom backdrop that Kate created with tissue pom flowers. Everything else is just as cute, too!

Party details at bottom of post…

Here is what Katie had to say about the party- “I made this party as adorable as the little girl it was hosted for! Little miss Eleanor; Sweet little “Ellie” has a wonderful mother who informed me that she would be wanting a pink and grey Elephant themed party! After we decided on an invitation to fit the occasion I started referring to this birthday theme as the “Pink and Grey Modern Ellie-phant Party”. She had everything a little one year old could want. A sweets buffet filled with Strawberry Shortcake Jellybeans, Yogurt covered peanuts, as well as Pink Swirl Marsh mellows-Yummy! We had a beautiful cake design which was a collaborative effort of myself and created from my wonderful cake vendor “Sweet Spot Cupcakes” along with beautiful pink and grey mini cupcakes! All party printables, and table designs were made by myself: Kate “Events by Kate” as well as the most adorable party favors for the guests to take home “Peanut Favors”! The design and coordination of this event was prepared and designed by “Events by Kate”. I also did animal cracker Chinese takeout box with Ellie’s adorable picture on the front. The Ellie Mason Jars have white + Pink Chocolates, and we even had extra peanuts! I chose modern pink prints, as well as made an adorable Elephant centerpiece, themed to match the invitations! Photos were made possible by my beautiful sister in law as well as myself; I am still learning how to use a camera! My sister in law is a fantastic local photographer Ashley MacDougall of “Ashley MacDougall Photography.” Vendor Credits: Party styling, design, cake design- Events by Kate Cupcakes, cake and fondant work- Sweet Spot Cupcakes Photos- Ashley MacDougall Photography Pink tissue pom poms, miniature pink favor treat boxes, apothecary jars, cello bags, doilies- All available in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop

Elephant Baby Shower

Photobucket

Today I’m featuring the ELEPHANT BABY SHOWER I styled for my sister.

My sister has always loved elephants…so when it came to choosing a theme for her shower I had no problem! I wanted it to be bright, cheery, modern and fun. I had a pink color scheme, and also incorporated the pink chevron stripe into the mix.

I used a lot of ribbon, painted tubs to look like elephant steps, hung a painted vintage frame, placed flowers in apothecary jars, strung painted peanuts as a backdrop, used a changing table and a high chair as part of the setup, had a ‘make your own italian soda’ station, tied ribbon around cute drinking glasses and more.
