Natural History Museum Dinosaur Party

This adorable NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM DINOSAUR PARTY was submitted by Adriana Formica Garcia of Quaintly Garcia. I love the vintage dinosaur cards strung inside a frame as the focal point of the backdrop! The miniature bunting banner across the cupcake stand/box is just darling, too.

Here are the party details from Adriana- “Like most boys his age, JD loves dinosaurs but we can honestly only credit this love for dinosaurs to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles! We began visiting the museum with him in 2010 and became members soon after; we haven’t stopped visiting it since. When the Dinosaur Hall opened last year JD became completely fascinated with dinosaurs and fossils. There isn’t a week that goes by that he doesn’t ask to go to the “Dino Museum.” So, when the time came to plan his 3rd birthday party we knew dinosaurs would be the theme. When we found out the NHM of Los Angeles had a birthday party program, we didn’t have to think twice about the location. The Natural History Museum’s birthday party program is really great! They provide everything you need to throw an amazing dinosaur party, everything but the food and cake! The program even provides event assistants (really awesome assistants) to help you run your party and direct all the activities and games. All your party guests also get admission to the museum for the day! Julian had no idea his 3rd birthday party was going to be at his favorite museum, when he arrived and saw the balloons and decorations, the expression on his face was priceless! JD and his friends had such a great time. They played “Tyrannosaurus Says”, Pin the Horn on the Triceratops, they made dinosaur masks and their very own fossils. I have to admit that this party was amazingly stress free thanks to the help of our very supportive family, the wonderful staff at the Natural History Museum, and especially Kersti Kooiman. Kersti not only helped me decorate, but she is also the incredible photographer behind these amazing pictures of JD and his dinosaur party!” Vendors and Credits: Photography- Kersti Kooiman Kraft Bags- Little Horse Bakery Kraft tags & birthday banner supplies- Retro Rox Vintage Muslin bags- Urban Homesteaders Julian’s Carnivore Shirt- Vicarious Clothing Invitations, cupcake stand, cupcake decorations, cake decorations, plant arrangements, gift bags, dinosaur egg bags, fossil cookies &  chocolate dinosaurs- Quaintly Garcia

Dinosaur 2nd Birthday Party

Today’s feature goes to this super fun DINOSAUR 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Stephanie Keeping of Spaceships and Laser Beams. What a cute take on the classic Dinosaur theme! The bone banner is too clever. And take a look at all the various dinosaur eggs made out of kiwi’s & chocolates, etc! Everything is just darling. Here is what Stephanie said about the party- “I wanted to share a dessert table featuring our Prehistoric Party Printable Collection. Menu for the dessert table included a variety of dinosaur “eggs”, bread made to look like dino bones that have been excavated, chocolate chip cake and vanilla dinosaur cupcakes. There was also a Brownie Dino Dig- I really love the dinosaur party games that let little guests dig through dirt/ sandboxes outside to find dinosaur bones or eggs. I wanted to replicate it in a dessert.” Vendor Credits: Printables, Styling and Photography: Spaceships and Laser Beams Printable Designer: Andrew Kolb Baked Goods: Goodness Bakeshop

Rustic Dinosaur Twins Birthday Party

My next winning party feature goes to this double-the-fun RUSTIC DINOSAUR TWINS BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Miranda Konieczny of Whimsical Printables. Another fabulous Dinosaur party! Such a fun party theme to work with because there is so much available in this theme! LOVE the darling mini cake bunting flags on the cakes. The whole setup couldn’t be cuter. Here is what Miranda said about the party- “My twins love dinosaurs! Soooo… of course they wanted a dinosaur party! They really like the more “real life” dinosaurs and it was a little difficult to find any printables with this theme that I had invisioned so I created my own! I wanted a more rustic version of the theme as well. My idea was burlap, wood, very natural like. My color choices were burnt oranges, army greens, and browns. From that came this wonderful party that I truly had fun creating and watching my kids enjoy! I used fabric for my table covers and dishes under the fabric to raise some of the items. My huge cupcake stand was made by my sister and brother-in-law along with the wooden cake stands. I purchased $1 dinosaurs and used all that my boys already had as decor. I wanted a simple background for the dessert table so used the burlap with tacs. Each child got to go home with their own miniture dino dig and the dino in the egg cup. (by far my favorite decor). The nest in the middle of the childrens table was one package of different types of moss from Hobby Lobby. Also purchase there was my fabric, ribbon, and frames, all on sale! I wanted my children involved in the creation so they painted the backdrop behind the childrens table (with just a little help from me in the end…) I also created and printed the subway art for the backdrop. I chose not to put anything to do with birthday on it because I wanted to hang it in their room! The frame… $7 at Hobby Lobby! Oh Yeah! I sanded the edges to make it more rustic! As with tradition, each of our boys get their own cake. I hate that they have to split a birthday so they can have their cake and eat it too! I’ve switched to a smaller cake with lots of cupcakes for all the party guests too! Works wonders! Cutting a cake is so not my thing! I used gable boxes with the handles folded inside for the thank you gifts, purchased from Hobby Lobby.” Vendors 1) Photography- Amy Craft Photography 2) Printables- Whimsical Printables 3) Food Boxes- Cute Kids Food Box 4) Clothing- -Plum Blossom Baby -The Paisley Store -Dark Cycle Clothing 5) Door Wreaths- The Knock-Knock Factory 6) Fondant Toppers on cupcakes and cakes- Lynlee’s Petite Cakes 7) Cupcakes and cakes- Specialty Cakes By Nisa 8) Cake Buntings- The Purple Pug 9) Tissue Tassels on the front of the dessert table- Over The Moon 10) Cookies- Dandy Delights
