Chevron Print Sesame Street 2nd Birthday Party

This CHEVRON PRINT SESAME STREET 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Julia Shultz of Let’s Have a Ball! Parties and Events. What a cute idea…mixing sesame street with fun chevron & polka dot patterns!

Julia said- “The birthday girl, Addison, loves Sesame Street , and Addison ’s mommy and Mimi loved the look of the Girly Elmo Birthday Party by Kelly Lyden (of WH Hostess) that they saw on Hostess with the Mostess. So using that party as inspiration, I got to work!

I started by ordering several chevron printed fabrics, including a beautiful multi-colored designer Riley Blake print. I used these fabrics to create table runners, fabric strip garlands, the fabric covered Styrofoam “A” decoration, party hat, bib, and the adorable little party dress.

For each party I style, I always like to include a welcome table situated close to the entrance to greet guests, setting the tone for the party. For the centerpiece of Addison ’s table, I used stacked colorful suitcases with the fabric chevron print “A” on top. There were framed pictures of the birthday girl, a framed welcome sign, and some delicious chocolate covered treats with Elmo face toppers. I created a personalized card stock banner and hung it on the front of the table.

My favorite part of a party is the sweets table, and this table was truly so much fun to design! I created the backdrop using blue chevron print mixed in with a solid yellow fabric. I then hung hot pink custom painted frames with pictures of Addison on each side of a large “2” that I cut from Styrofoam and covered in a hot pink satin fabric. I topped the backdrop off with 2 fabric garlands. I then made the colorful ruffled tablecloth using a mix of solid and polka dots in hot pink, orange, blue, yellow, green, red, and purple. Using candlesticks and wooden circle plaques painted pink, I made several stands for the treats. I incorporated the chevron print onto the candy labels and cupcake toppers, as well as my custom “Sweets” sign. The centerpiece of the table was the cute cake topped with Elmo. There were cupcakes, mini cupcakes, gumballs, chevron print iced sugar cookies, lollipops, chocolate Elmo pops, chocolate covered Oreos with sesame street character and chevron print toppers, cake pops, striped candy sticks, and pixie sticks.

I kept the table centerpieces simple, but cute. I used chevron print runners and fabric squares on each table. Some centerpieces were candy filled suitcases or bowls, and the others were like an over-sized cupcake topper that I made out of card stock which read “Happy 2nd Birthday, Addison” and accented with an Elmo face graphic. I placed these into colored glass bottles or colorful striped tin pails. Each table was then accented with tissue poms in various colors.

There were several activity stations for the children to enjoy. Each has a custom sign placed inside wooden frames which I painted blue. At “Zoe’s Jewelry Station” children created their own edible necklaces and bracelets using gummy lifesavers, fruit loops, cheerios, etc. Addison ’s favorite was “Abby Cadabby’s Flying Fairy Dress Up” which was filled with necklaces, bracelets, hair accessories, rings, sunglasses, tutus, and all sorts of cute little dress up items which the children could take home as party favors. There was also “ Addison ’s World Face Painting”, “Big Bird’s Bird Seed Treasure Hunt”, and “Bert and Ernie’s Rubber Duckie Pond”. Another adorable feature was a custom made photo prop board, handmade by one of the birthday girl’s family members, where kids could get their picture taken with Elmo.”

Colorful Lalaloopsy 6th Birthday Party

This COLORFUL LALALOOPSY 6TH BIRTHDAY PARTY, submitted by Alexis Turner (from Brisbane, Australia) of Sugar Sweet Buffets, will definitely brighten your day! All the hours of planning definitely paid off! So many cute party ideas!

Alexis said- “I styled this dessert table for a little girl, Lily’s, 6th birthday party. Lily LOVES Lalaloopsy dolls and wanted lots of bright colours! Some of the desserts I made were creaming soda flavoured jellies, oreo cookie pops, custard pots with crushed oreos and sprinkles on top, mars bar slice and sweet and salty popcorn cups. There was little personalized chocolate bars and also lots of lollies for guests to fill their favour bags with to take home.

I found some cute Lalaloopsy party printables on Etsy from Print Sparkle and went from there!

I also styled another smaller table, a drinks station to match and had the favour bags on here.”

Coney Island Vintage Carnival Party

This adorable CONEY ISLAND VINTAGE CARNIVAL + CIRCUS BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Danielle Arcese of Cutie Putti Paperie! WHAT a party! Danielle did an incredible job at planning this amazing celebration….a soiree FULL of ideas & inspiration!

Danielle said- “Summer is winding down, but the fun isn’t over! I jumped at the opportunity to design a Vintage Carnival theme. Some of my favorite memories as a kid were days spent at the carnival, wandering in wide-eyed amusement at all of the spectacles; a belly full of funnel cakes and popcorn, and my sticky cotton candy fingers handing over a ticket in hopes of winning that JUMBO teddy bear….”Step Right Up, and try your luck”

Carnival games are one of the most favored part of the experience, therefore I really wanted to make that a prominent element of my dessert table. I came up with fun dessert interpretations of some of the most popular game attractions including:
Find the lucky duck push pops (mini vanilla cupcakes topped with a ducky topper) Ballon dart cupcakes (vanilla cupcakes with vintage balloon cluster topper); Win a fish Jello bowls (blue raspberry jello with a swedish fish inside; bowls from Michael’s craft store); and Ring Toss Lemonade (lemonade bottles with cute multi colored rings around their neck, displayed in a vintage crate)

Little carnies got to “take a prize” of vintage game capsules filled with candy, and labeled with a favor tag stating “You’re a Winner! Thank you for coming!”

Also, included on the table were treats representing some nostalgic ride attractions including:
Tilt A Whirly Pops (Whirly Pops); Funhouse Macarons (buttercream macarons decorated with multicolor sprinkles); & the Ball Pit (jumbo gumballs). And who could forget the classics! Good ole’ fashioned popcorn in vintage popcorn boxes, cotton candy, salt water taffy, and candy dots!

The super sweet Mika Beverly of PartyCreative on Etsy, made me the most amazing tissue paper and mylar garland. I was so impressed with it, as soon as I took it out of the box I knew that the garland and the birthday banner were the only two things I needed to make my backdrop POP, and boy did it work!

The vintage details and vivid colors of the printable party goods added the perfect touch of nostalgia that brings you back to the fun and excitement of Vintage Coney Island! Of “days gone by” filled with thrilling roller coaster rides, delicious carnival treats, sun drenched boardwalks, and carefree summer days!”

Candy Shoppe Sweet Crush Party Ideas

This adorable CANDY SHOPPE SWEET CRUSH PARTY by Jessica Carty of The Sweet Crush is a dream! I am DYING over the adorable jewelry made by Jessica! All of it can be ordered from her fabulous shop.
Jessica said- “I decided to do this little set up as my first photo collaboration.  I have been included on many with Amber {Party On! Designs} & Katy {Birdie Baby Boutique}, so I wanted to do one of my own to see how fun it could be. I am now hooked! I name all of my jewelry after sweets and I was making a new design where I made stand out pieces out of candy sprinkles and Resin.  This is why I decided on doing a bright colored Candy Shoppe table. With the help of my favorite photographer Brianna from PixbyBre and Amber from Party On! Designs, things couldn’t have been any more perfect!! From the printables and popcorn boxes, to the giant balloon and ice cream bowls {filled with cotton candy instead of ice cream} everything turned out great.  I used some of my bracelets as the thank you gifts and Amber made the perfect printables to make them look super cute. Plus, cotton candy in the bottom of the bags made them look perfect. The girls also got headbands from Katy of Birdie Baby Boutique. Petite Peanut Boutique also sent some suspenders.  I made the clothing along with my moms sewing abilities.  I made the scrap fabric banner from the fabric that I had left over and covered some boxes on the table in it to give some more pops of color.  I purchased the turquoise frame for under $10 at Michaels and painted it.  I purchased the vintage style candy jars and cupcake stand from Vintage Expressions on Etsy.  She paints them in whatever colors requested.  I think it could be fun for birthdays, summer parties, etc. I had so much fun with it and love the way that everything turned out.” Vendors and Credits-
