Camp Arts & Crafts Rainbow Party

This unique CAMP ARTS & CRAFTS RAINBOW PARTY was submitted by Melissa Thiel Collar of Buckets of Grace.

What a fun idea to highlight the arts and crafts aspect of a fun camp out by combining the two themes into one party! I also love the bright, happy vibe that the rainbow theme brings into this camping arts and crafts party. A few of my favorite ideas and elements are:

The rainbow paper chain backdrop
The colorful cake pops displayed on a wooden artist’s palette
The cake with rainbow striped sides and topped with an artist’s palette and a camping tent
The Rice Krispie treats dipped in colored candy melts and topped with wooden paddles to resemble paintbrushes dipped in paint

Melissa said this about the party- “Like most 9 year old girls, my daughter Grace loves all things arts and crafts. So when picking the theme for her birthday party this year, I wasn’t surprised when she asked for an arts and crafts theme. To put a little twist on the traditional theme, we turned her party into a Camp Arts and Crafts Party. We used a rainbow color scheme with lots of camp touches, including burlap, kraft paper and touches of nature. Carli from Dimple Prints made the customized printables that tied the party together. They were amazing!

For the backdrop for the sweets table and the trail mix bar, we stuck with our rainbow arts and crafts theme by making ombre paper pinwheels for the sweets table and paper chains for the trail mix bar.

We had lots of arts and crafts activities for our campers. We dyed sailor bracelets, painted canvases, made noodle necklaces and bracelets, made God’s Eyes, had sand art. My daughter decided that instead of having her campers bring presents, she wanted to collect donations for Project Linus – a non-profit organization that collects blankets for children in need. As one of the arts and crafts projects, we made a fleece tie blanket to donate on behalf of her party. It was such a touching activity!”

Glampout Girl Camping Birthday Party

This fun GLAMPOUT GIRL CAMPING BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Mariah Rainier Miller of Mariah Rainier Style. The way I see it, if you’re going to camp, you might as well do it in style! So many cute ideas here!

Here’s what I love about this girly camping party:
The chevron + pennant banner cake topped with a silver RV camper

Mariah said this about planning the party- “Camping… yes! Roughing It? Not Quite. When your birthday is in the midst of winter what better way to create an indoor slumber party when it’s just too cold to camp outdoors, than with GLAMping? To get the ultimate glamping experience we set-up a pretty tent in a cozy space for the perfect foundation for any glampsite.”

Camping Themed Birthday Party

How fun is this CAMPING THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Christen Byrd of Christen Byrd Photography! Such a cute outdoor themed celebration with a lot of darling ideas!

Christen said this about planning the party- “This was a camping themed party for my daughter Olive and her friend Graham. It was so much fun! We had a tent, campfire, flashlights…it was great! We had a homemade cake and camping cookies made by Sweet Love Bakes here in Little Rock, AR. All in all it was a very budget friendly party as we used things we had on hand. All the camping supplies we had or borrowed. All the decorations I made myself. We even turned our summer lemonade stand into a marshmallow stand! Winter birthdays can be hard to make fun…but this may have been my favorite so far!”

Retro 70′s Camping Barbie 6th Birthday Party

This RETRO 70′S BARBIE CAMPING 6TH BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Maria Davis of Love & Sugar Kisses is absolutely darling! What a creative twist on your regular camping themed celebration! I adore the vintage barbie touches…take a look at the darling barbie camper van cookies & boxes, for example!

Maria said- “My party theme was a 70′s Vintage Barbie Camping Party! The inspiration for the party was the 1971 Barbie Camper, which I found on ebay. I wanted to evoke the spirit of the 70′s by using colorful and girly fabrics throughout the party and used bright pink, aquas green, yellow & orange as my colors. I used feathers in several of my decorations and made 70′s style feather hair clips for all the girls. I used some touches of nature like twigs for the frames, pine cones and a tree stump cake stand. But I added some Barbie sparkle to them as well!

Piggy Bank Parties created all the beautiful printable products including the amazing favor boxes which were detailed replicas of the Barbie Camper! Inside each camper were Barbie stickers & bottlecap necklaces.

We had several party activities. We began with a nature walk and each girl was given a decorated clipboard with items to look for, an embellished canteen, and backpack. After lunch we sat around our faux fire and sang campfire songs. Then we went back outside for a s’mores relay race. The girls were divided into teams and had to assemble s’mores using large pillows and graham crackers & chocolate bars made from foam board. It was a hilarious site and they had a blast!

The dessert table included cake, designer Oreos & s’mores on a stick all made by me. Beautiful cookies designed to look like the Barbie camper were made by Bambella Cookie Boutique. Delicious cake pops in the bright party colors and decorated with feathers were made by Cuter than Cake. We served camp-style hot dogs & chips for lunch along with a 70s favorite soda, Nehi! In addition to their camping supplies, each guest received a bag of trail mix & bubbles along with their camper favor box!
