“What Will it BEE?” Baby Shower

This charming “WHAT WILL IT BEE?” BABY SHOWER was submitted by Kelli McCarthy of Parties By KLM.

There are so many cute things about this bumblebee baby shower! A few of my favorites are:
  • The striking backdrop made out of paper fans in assorted sizes, colors and patterns
  • The sunflower cupcake topiaries
  • The honeycomb pattern Oreos
  • and MORE!
This is what Kelli said about planning the party- “I created this bumblebee themed candy table for the baby shower of a close family friend. The theme of ‘What Will it BEE?’ seemed to be a perfect fit as the nursery is yellow, grey and white and since the mom-to-be doesn’t know if she’s having a boy or girl. There was a wide array of candy and desserts such as, baby peeps, baby penguins, ‘honeycomb’ chocolate covered Oreos, ‘Ba-BEE’ Oreo Pops, Flower Oreo Pops and cookies. I created two baby cupcake topiaries to look like sunflowers with fondant bees buzzing around. The glowing mommy-to-BEE loved everything :).”

Just BEE-cause Tea Party

This is my kind of party! Who say’s you can’t have a party just because? This darling JUST BEE-CAUSE TEA PARTY was submitted by Mariah Leeson of Giggles Galore. I love the beehive cake and the black and white polka dots mixed with yellows.

Planning a similar party? ‘Bee’ {haha} sure and check out the party description and vendor list at the bottom of the post…

Here is what Mariah had to say about the party- “Life is full of special moments; big moments, small moments and all those in between. I believe in (and love) celebrating ‘Just BEE-cause’ and this tea party was the perfect occasion for doing just that with our friends. Our little guests enjoyed PB & Honey tea sandwiches, Fruit with Honey Yogurt Dip, Lemon Honey cupcakes, Chocolate Covered Oreos and Honey Rosemary Lemonade. I really wanted a beehive cake so I made one (don’t laugh) and added adorable buzzing bees from Edible Details. Brittany also captured the dainty details in the adorable cupcake toppers and 3D fondant beehives. I ordered honeycomb Chocolate Covered Oreos from Sweet Temptations and not only were they delicious but they looked so pretty. Adorable beehive boxes from Piggy Bank Parties were filled with Bit-o-Honey candy and stickers for the guest to take home and enjoy. I also made Peanut Butter and Honey Play Dough to keep them entertained and to take home as a reminder of our fun afternoon. This was one sweet party and my girls loved having a tea party with their friends ‘Just BEE-cause’.” Credits: Party Styling – Giggles Galore Photos - Elayne Dunn Photography Just BEE-cause Party Package - Piggy Bank Parties Fondant Cupcake Toppers and Bees - Edible Details Honeycomb Chocolate Covered Oreos - Sweet Temptations Black and White Baking Cups - Bake It Pretty More products used in this party {with link to where the items are available to purchase online}: Milk Bottles Standing Upright Party Frame Yellow Striped Paper Straws Black and White Polka Dot Baking Cups Yellow Candy Sticks Hanging Yellow Lanterns Apothecary Candy Jars Fondant Checked Gingham Ribbon

“Bee” is for Book Baby Shower!

My next winning party feature goes to this darling BEE IS FOR BOOK BABY SHOWER submitted by Life With Fingerprints! Just look at that cake! This shower is soooo cute. I love that Kara {adore her name…hehe} mixed bumblebee’s with damask! The damask backdrop is a waverly home decor fabric hung with a black sheet behind it. The banner was made with basic scrapbooking paper {cut into triangles} with printed letters on yellow paper and strung along 6 inche tulle. The beehinve cake was created with a specialty pan from Williams Sonoma. Cookies were designed to look like bees with a basic circle shape cookie cutter. The bee graphic used through the party was hand drawn in illustrator and printed. Canning jars tied with black tulle were used for yellow candy, and also used as the drink ware for the party. Everyone at this shower either brought a book for the new mama or money for the “honey” pot. Such a good idea. Thanks for your submission, Kara! Congratulations on being today’s winning party feature!
