This party is so precious. The theme would be perfect for a baby shower or first birthday party, too!

The fondant crown cupcake toppers

The family lives in a small town where everybody knows everyone, so they got a spa hotel owner to close the indoor pool area just for their celebration, given that it was during the low season. The location and view were incredible (and it was pretty isolated too, it was hard to drive the steep way there!) and inspired us for the color palette for the decoration. We decided to do something simple and sweet using turquoise, ocre and white, so we used the initials of the baby’s name, gave them some cute angel wings and a small crown and we had our visual identity! That inspired every beautiful dessert created by Isa Herzog of course, who presented us with the oh so pretty ruffled cake and cupcakes, winged tiny cupcakes, yummy cookies, fabric wrapped brownies, decorated truffles and the delicious gourmet brigadeiros. We complimented the dessert table using fresh flowers that reminded us of purity and innocence, coupled with lots of clear latex balloons. We had fun using the visual identity of the party on the metallic balloons and windows too!
I fell completely in love with this party’s location, the blue of the pool reflected on the ceiling and at night thousands of lights twinkled in the distance because we could see three cities or more from our location.”

This vibrant BRAZILIAN CARNIVAL PARTY was submitted by Cris Mcgrath of Crissy’s Crafts. I love the combination of the peacock motif with the Carnival masks and beads!
Some of my other favorite things about this Brazilian Carnival party are:
The mask shaped cookie pops
The peacock pattern fabric
The peacock cake pops
The huge spread of authentic Brazilian desserts and appetizers
This is what Cris said about planning the party- “Even though I live miles away from my native country of Brazil, we celebrated Carnaval this past weekend with a lot of confetti, samba, caipirinha, barbecue and brazilian sweets.
My friend Bird from Bird’s Party designed the gorgeous printables mixing the brazilian colors (blue, green and yellow) with peacock designs. To keep with the printable design, the sweet table was decorated with a lot of peacock feathers, peacock masks, peacock backdrop and matching tablecloth. The desserts included everything from Brazilian sweets like the brigadeiro (kind of chocolate bonbon), docinho de coco (coconut bonbon), mini quindim (coconut custard), peacock cake pops by the very talented Samantha from Evie & Mallow Cake Pop & Party Shoppe, cupcakes, chocolate masks and some sweet candy.
As for appetizers, we enjoyed a cheese platter, bruschetta, salsa/dip and mozzarella basil tomato bites to name a few. My husband was in charge of the grill and we had some delicious steak and chicken kabobs, sausage and chicken wings.
Our guests received masks and a kit folia (party kit) with some poppers, streamers and mask tattoos upon arrival. Since this was also a kid friendly party, I set up a “Make your own Mask” Craft Station.
Our non Brazilian friends were able to learn a little more about my culture while having fun!”
