Astir and Alessandra said this about the party- “How about a party for turning your child in super hero?! For this, little Antonio became the main character of his birthday party. His friends also received dress up superhero kits to wear at the party. The guests enjoyed cake pops, push pop cakes, and popcorn, not to mention the colorful cake!”

Here’s what Julie said about the party- “For this dinosaur party we used a lot of items we already had, purchasing only the food, the cardstock that we picked up from Hobby Lobby, and the one dollar plastic dinosaurs from Target and the Dollar Tree. We reused the tree stumps as well as the grasses from other parties we had thrown. From our photos you can tell that we utilized our Silhouette Cameo a lot! For the six year old dinosaur party, we planned out several organized activities for the kids to do. The first activity included making dinosaur fossils out of coffee play-dough that we stored in glass jars for the kids. The kids chose a jar, rolled out their coffee play-dough, and pressed small plastic dinosaurs into the the dough which we then baked during the duration of the party. Another dinosaur activity we had the kids do was to make a stegosaurus using their hand print. Using their hand, their thumb was the head, their palm the body , and their fingers the four legs of the stegosaurus. We cut triangles out of card stock before the party that the kids could easily glue to the bodies of the hand print stegosaurus. Plastic googly eyes completed their dinosaur. The kids were read the book “Dinosaur Roar” by Paul and Henrietta Stickland. They also participated in a dinosaur dance, where they would dance like various dinosaurs. For more details on the party, they can be found here.”
Traci said this about planning the party- “Living in the lettuce capital of the world, there was no better way to celebrate our son’s 2nd birthday than by throwing a John Deere Tractor celebration. My mom and I planned all year long and couldn’t have made it near the success it was without Cupcake Express’ Printable Party Package!
One of my favorite ways to create excitement before the big day arrives is through creative and unique invitations. We gathered denim pants from our local Goodwill stores on half price Saturdays and stored them in trash bags until we had collected enough to make denim pocket invitations. Inside each pocket was a Cupcake Express Printable 3×5 Invitation with all of the party details.
Once the invitations were mailed out, decoration planning was kicked in to high gear. We started with making the adorable Tractor Crossing Signs and ordered a grand total of 16 dozen yellow and green bandanas which we used on the back of chairs and tops of tables as runners. Along the way I found Elizabeth with Posh Paper Creations who created tractor crayons which we placed on the tables as well as baggies of sunflower seeds for snacking.
And what party isn’t complete without a fabulous desert table! Ours included cream sodas with Cupcake Express’ Custom Bottle Labels, dirt pudding with fresh gummy worms, and of course rice crispy treat hay bales and chocolate donut tractor tires. To tie it all together we had dozens of cupcakes and Ashley with Bubba Sweet’s made us the adorable tractor chocolates.
To top it off we had two adorable cakes from Jaime with Yuma Couture Cakes and a very large, almost life size tractor pinata that was gifted to our son by his Nana Blanca. The stunning three tiered cake that had butter cream layers with mixed fruit fillings. It was just as great to eat as it was to look at. For my son, she also created a tractor tire personal cake just for smashing. Sadly, my properly mannered two year old wouldn’t go near it.
As favors, each child took home a planter pot with seeds, gardening gloves, and a shovel. We tied them together with Cupcake Express’ matching Thank You Tags. For the adults, I created a recipe card that we attached to tractor shaped cookie cutters.
Each recipe said:
’1 bucket of dirt
2 cups of worms
1 tsp of sweat
A pinch of germs
Mix together with plenty of Mommy’s love, add a dash of bumps and bruises and garnish with Daddy’s pride and joy. Heat with sunshine and spread over a lifetime of Birthday memories.’”

This modern CAR THEMED SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Melissa of The Cake Boutique.
Some of my favorite ideas in this car themed party are:
The popcorn served in cupcake liners since smaller portions were needed
The black favor bags made to resemble a road
The fruit kebabs threaded onto plastic straws- a safer option for little guests
and MORE!
This is what Melissa said about planning the party- “My son, Finley, turned two and we threw him a car themed party (his two favourite words are Cake and Car), styled around his birthday gift, a red ride-on retro tin car. We wanted it to be bright and clean, so stuck to a red colour palette with accents of blue. Grey chevrons provided a fun geometric backdrop which we repeated in the cake design. The gorgeous paperie was custom made to incorporate the theme. Guests enjoyed a variety of motor themed sweets and treats, including vanilla bean cupcakes, Mint Chocolate marshmallow tires, Jelly Fuel, Nuts and Bolts popcorn, Road sign chocolates and custom made Belgian chocolate cars.
The conservatory was converted into a mini race track with toy cars and ride-on vehicles for the kids to play with and the ceiling was strung with giant balloons in the main party colours.
The tiny guests were given a custom made Road party bag filled with toy cars, car shaped chocolates and a car bath squirter.”
