“Ready to Pop” Blue & Green Baby Shower

How adorable is this READY TO POP BLUE & GREEN BABY SHOWER submitted by Lindi Haws of Love the Day! The ready to pop theme is just toooo cute! I love the big belly pops!
Lindi said- “I had the opportunity to throw a baby shower for one of my friends. It was such a perfect opportunity to throw my own Ready To Pop themed shower. My new Ready To Pop Collection served as the main source of decorations, but more importantly, I had fabulous POP-themed sweets provided by some lovely vendors, bakeries and stores.
The Ready To Pop cake was made by my one and only sister Kristi of City Sweet Shop. She has worked for the last year perfecting her vanilla cake recipe and I’d say it is there! It was amazing. The bright and colorful cupcakes were provided by the local and fabulous ladies of The Sugar Shack. The darling (and super tasty) belly cake POPS and Oreo POPS were sent by the sweet ladies of Frost The Cake and the darling washcloth POPS were sent to me by Baby Binkz. And a huge thank you to Tara Shreeve of Forever Bliss Photography for helping me photograph the party.”

Father’s Day Golf Par-Tee

Take a look at this fabulous FATHER’S DAY GOLF PAR-TEE submitted by Jennifer Carver of Banner Events! “Don’t ‘forget to celebrate good ‘ol Dad this coming June. Want to give him a par-tee that is sure to drive a smile? Score a ‘hole-in-one’ with a golf themed spread that he is sure to love!  Any small space can be transformed into a golfer’s paradise, even his office!”

Here is what Jen had to say about the party- “To create our look, we covered an executive-style office desk with an earth toned tablecloth, added a ‘putting green’ runner (Astroturf from a home improvement store works great!), some burlap for the sand trap, a few containers of artificial grass & the basics were covered for one tee-riffic party!  Of course, printables always help to tie in the theme, add a pop of color and bring that added pizzazz that make celebrations go from ordinary to extraordinary. Dear old dad is worth the extra effort, right?  This gorgeous golf themed printable set by Bird’s Party combines classic argyle and striped patterns in shades of aqua, green, navy and white.  From the adorable par-tee banner to the coordinating drink wraps & circle labels, it was the ‘par’fect touch!

Need some quick decor ideas?  To add some interest to our par-tee, I filled containers with artificial grass balls, color coordinating golf tees, plastic practice golf balls & such. If your dad is an avid golfer, finding old golf paraphernalia around your home shouldn’t be hard. I used a pair of golf shoes, a golf statue, some old golf clubs and an old trophy to bring in some personal items to our display. Old rustic silver pails, glass apothecary jars & vessels were all used to house coordinating themed treats & decor. Golf silhouettes and printable subway art were hung in picture frames on the wall to coordinate. Jones Soda bottles and water bottles were accented with drink wraps, cute party straws, golf tees & mini golf pennant flags. Darling cupcakes with grass-like frosting (Wanna Cupcakes) were perched atop styrofoam covered in Astroturf.  The cutest putting green & golf ball cake pops (Pop.O.Licious Cake Pops) were nestled in spray painted plastic trophies purchased at the dollar store & an old metal pail filled with green shred to resemble grass. Mini golf themed artisan chocolates (Vita Dolce Chocolates) were housed in individual mini pail favors (to resemble range buckets).

No celebration is complete without an array of coordinating sweet treats. The highlight of our dessert buffet included a beautiful cake, from Celebrity Cake Studio. Gorgeous details from the printables were recreated on the cake, from the striking argyle pattern, to the golf landscape & oversized golf ball and tee.  It definitely was the focal point of our dessert display.  Incredibly detailed fondant pieces were masterfully designed by Edible Details. Three dimensional golf clubs accessorized our peanut ‘putter’ parfaits par-fectly! I adore the 3-D golf balls that sat impressively atop real golf tees in the centers of gourmet cupcakes made to resemble patches of grassy course.  And, the golf cart fondant toppers were phenomenal!  Cookies Are My Canvas captured the beauty of Bird’s printables on a cookie! Sweet Temptations also provided delicious golf-themed chocolate covered Oreos, great for everyone celebrating Dad!

The dessert menu included:

  • Donut ‘Holes-in One’
  • Peanut ‘Putter’ PAR-faits
  • Tee-riffic Cake Pops
  • Caddy Cookies
  • ‘Sweet Spot’ Cookies
  • Golf ball cake
  • Chocolate Covered Oreos (golf-themed design)
  • Cupcakes (with putting green, golf cart & golf ball fondant toppers)
  • Chocolate ‘Dirt Clods’  (mini artisan chocolates)

Drinks:

  • ‘Water hazard’ (water)
  • Jones Soda in coordinating colors (white, green, aqua)

A full course menu could include a wide range of additional golf themed items such as ‘club’ sandwiches, a ‘wedge’ salad, ‘greens’, ‘chips’ & dip and so forth.  The possibilities for honoring dad for Father’s Day with this golf theme are endless!  ‘Putt-ing’ a smile on Dad’s face this year can be easy!”

Water Fight “Wars” Birthday Party!

Like I said earlier, today I am featuring a few parties that were photographed by the talented Wendy Updegraff. This WATER FIGHT or WATER WARS BIRTHDAY PARTY she threw for her son’s 11th birthday was a huge success! A dunking tank?! I’m sure all the kids at the party talked about that one for weeks. This party just looks like so much fun…the kind of party that makes you want to be a kid again! Thanks for your submission, Wendy! All party printables were designed by Wendy. Custom birthday banner ordered from etsy shop, Cardboard Sheek. Tattoos printed by etsy shop, Buttonhead.

Little Guy In A Tie Baby Blessing Party

Here is the LITTLE GUY IN A TIE BABY BLESSING PARTY I planned for our newest addition. It was a wonderful day, and a perfect way to celebrate our new baby and his baby blessing. I know that Easton wont remember any of this and didn’t even know what was going on, but he will have these pictures…and he will know how much his mama and everyone else loved him.
I went with a very light color pallet. Everything was white, really light green and really light blue. The dessert/sweets table was set up on a vintage dresser {that I painted white}. I used white and clear cake stands, platters and plates. I also incorporated eyelet into the mix. The printables {tags, labels, toppers, invite, banner, etc} were ordered from the sweet Kori of Paper And Pigtails. She was wonderful to work with and customized everything. This party could easily be a Christening party, a Baptism party, a baby shower, a 1st birthday party and more.

Cupcakes purchased from Dippidee.
The beautiful cake was made by Jen of Sweeten Your Day. She is so very talented. I told her how I wanted the cake and she spread her wings. It turned out just how I envisioned it.
The delicious cake bites were ordered from Isabelly’s.
Name blocks purchased at Hobby Lobby {I painted them white}.
I ordered cupcake mix favor boxes from Favor Box Bakery. They were absolutely adorable.
Green and blue paper straws available to purchase here.
This gorgeous customized tablecloth was made byPots And Pins. Nan makes tablecloths to match your party theme. I emailed her my invite and she matched it perfectly. My jaw literally dropped when I opened the package and saw the tablecloth for the first time. Amazing.
I served all the food in gable boxes {available to purchase here} and tied hand stamped wooden utensils onto each box.
The menu consisted of Chicken Salad Croissants, Grapes, Pasta Salad, Fruit Kabobs and Baked Pita Chips.
I set up the food on a hutch {matching the vintage dresser}.
The kiddies had separate gable boxes. The menu included Peanut Butter Uncrustables,  Mandarine Oranges, Chips and Apple juice.
Yummy key lime truffles ordered from etsy shop, Truffle Kerfuffle.
The darling tie sugar cookies were ordered from etsy shop, Bee’s Knees Creative.
Homemade marshmallow squares from Oh Yum.
Cute blue favor boxes from here. {Also available in green.}
Inspiration for these darling cupcake toppers came from here.
