Dukes of Hazzard Birthday Party

This fab DUKES OF HAZZARD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Mariah Rainier Miller.

So many awesome ideas here! Some of my favorite elements of this Dukes of Hazzard party are:
The pie tin cake stand
The vintage wooden soda crates
The vintage car cake
and MORE!

This is what Mariah said about planning this party- “This ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Birthday party was an instant hit amongst the little kids as well as the adults. Reminiscent of the hit television show from the 80’s, the theme brought a nostalgic feel to this little boy’s birthday party. His dad’s favorite show growing up was the ‘Dukes of Hazzard’, so what better way to bring the old into the new! It was important to include all things ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ from the hay bales to the vintage wood barn door. It was a classic part of the show where cousins Luke and Bo would jump the car over hay bales and through barn doors. We also included old tires, vintage gas tanks, a custom vintage lunch menu and we cannot forget daisies honoring the infamous Daisy Duke.”

Here’s what Benny had to say about photographing the party- “Kids grow up so quickly, especially when it comes to this little fellow. A year ago, I was asked by Ruth to photograph her newborn son, Edrei. So, when I was asked to be the photographer at his 1st Birthday party, I couldn’t believe a year had flown by! It was a very fun and exciting party, even as an adult, I must admit I had fun myself! The details and decorations for this party were amazing! Everything was so colorful and vivid! The farm theme for this party was perfect, especially since the party was located… well, at an actual barn. Everything tied so perfectly together and I’m sure this party is one the children will never forget. Ruth is an amazing party planner who most definitely will not disappoint!”

Little Farm 2nd Birthday Party

This cute LITTLE FARM SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Susan Macieira from Brazil! All the little barnyard themed treats are so darling!

Susan said this about planning the party- “I prepared this party to celebrate my son’s second birthday. I tried to mix traditional Brazilian farms and common things on my table, such as compote sweets and cheese making. I had the help of incredible vendors with particular techniques such as the modeling sweets like the bird in the cage. Totally edible.”

Barnyard 2nd Birthday Farm Party

This adorable BARNYARD 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Jenny Marrs of Marrs Memories. Set up in a real-life barn, this farm celebration can not be beat! I love all the little details and the perfect farm feel to every photo.

Planning a farm themed party? Party details and vendor credits at bottom of post…

Party description and details from Jenny- “We celebrated our twin boy’s second birthday with a barnyard party at our family farm. We transformed our barn into a petting zoo and party spot for the day! To start, the Invitation was designed by Social Crafty designs. I designed the party space to ensure it was a casual and relaxed atmosphere. From the picnic tables to the hay on the floor…we wanted it to feel like a day out on the farm for our guests. My husband set up his tractors in the barn so that the kids could climb on them and they could serve as a backdrop for the party. We served barbecue and used plastic baskets with checkered liners for dishes. We wanted every detail to reflect the farm theme. The Dessert Table was set up so that everyone could make their own dirt cakes. We used organic gummy worms from NaturalCandyStore.com because my son has a red-dye allergy and they were a hit! I went outside and cut fresh flowers {and weeds but they were pretty weeds} to place all around… I love fresh cut flowers and just LOVE how the arrangements turned out! Centerpieces for the kids tables included burlap sacks topped with tractors and barnyard animals. Adult picnic tables were topped with checkered table cloths, mason jars with candles, and baskets of peanuts. Little party guests received favor buckets including miniature tractors, seed planting kits and chalkboard “Thank you” signs. We had a petting zoo, pony rides, a handmade sandbox for digging and a hayride for activities.”

Girly Cowgirl Farm Themed Birthday Party

I’m lovin’ this good ole’ GIRLY FARM THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Amber LeBlanc of Fashionably Baked!

Amber said- “There weren’t many details that were left out for my daughter’s 5th birthday party. The burlap, mini bales of hay, and chocolate mustaches were just a few of the details that made this a COWGIRL party to remember!
The cake was simple. I made a few strings of mini bunting flags and wrapped a wooden number 5 with some jute. The hankies I used throughout the party (seen under the cake and used to place the cowgirl cookies on top of) were from Fabric Depot.
In addition to all of the different cookies I made, we had “Happy Trails Mix” with little jute favor bags that I hand stamped with a horseshoe. All burlap and jute bags I purchased from Online Fabric Store. We also had Banana Pudding Shooters with bamboo spoons tied with a ribbon to each shooter that I got from Shop Bakers Nook. The Blueberry Pie Pops were made using Bakerella’s tutorial.
The cowboy prop took quite some time to paint, but was the perfect touch to have all the kiddos looking like real cowboys.
For the invitation I printed it on an ivory cardstock, ripped it all the way around, and placed it on a burlap background. Inspired by Lulu’s Cowgirl Chic Birthday on Hostess with the Mostess.”
Free standing party frame, square mason jars with daisy cut lids, push pop containers, paper straws, burlap horseshoe bags- All available in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop
