Modern Chevron Print Baby Shower

This MODERN CHEVRON PRINT BABY SHOWER submitted by Renee Zempel of Sweet Art Food Design is just too cute. I love the miniature clothesline cake topper! The modern prints used throughout the shower made everything just pop.

Here is what Renee had to say about the event– “Sweet Art had the opportunity to style and photograph a fabulous baby shower for the most delightful of clients!  What a privilege and joy it was to set the stage for the celebration of an up-and-coming little boy. It was a very special day, indeed. The color palette and overall vibe for the baby shower was clean, modern, and fresh. Vivid teal blues and bright oranges were set against a canvas of crisp white.  The bold chevron pattern used on the table runners kept the eye moving around the room, and the miniature baby clotheslines softened the edges of this rather modern look. The result was stunning! For the styling of this table, we created a backdrop covered in the same vivid blue as the chevron-patterned table runners. Draped across the backdrop was a miniature baby clothesline, which helped to carry out the shower’s “baby clothing” theme perfectly!  I loved the tall topiaries that flanked the table… they hinted at the idea of baby laundry hanging on a clothesline in a backyard. Another fabulous detail, for which Sweet Art can hardly take any credit, was the lovely flower arrangements! One of the hostesses volunteered her own amazing talent for the creation of these beauties. We simply collaborated together on the design, and then she put together something that was above and beyond all expectations. I know that they look pretty in these photos, but believe me they were even more stunning in person!! Also, I am especially fond of these little orange ribbon flags because my 12-year-old son made them!  Have to tell you the story… One evening, he and I sat down to watch a movie and also try our hand at tying these things. Though crafts are not his usual activity of choice (um… almost never!), we discovered that he was way better at creating these than I was. He ended up re-doing all of mine. : ) Guess all of those knot-tying lessons at boy scouts paid off! It made me smile to use them at the party. There just aren’t enough words to express to how grateful we are to have been entrusted to style and photograph this very special occasion!!  Our sincerest thanks to the hostesses and warmest congratulations to the beautiful mother-to-be!” Vendor Credits: Photography: Elizabeth Barna of Sweet Art Miniature Baby Clothesline: That’s Adorable Table runners: Ultrapom Floral Arrangements: Karen Yee Event Styling: Renee Zempel of Sweet Art Cake bunting & Hanging banner:  The Art of Handmades

“Ready To Pop” Baby Shower

This READY TO POP BABY SHOWER submitted by Cristina Prusz of Le Partie Sugar is so fun! Such a cute baby shower theme! Here is what Cristina had to say about the shower– “Once my girlfriend shared the news she was expecting her second little baby, I immediately contacted our mutual friend Jen (of www.shopsnughaven.com ) and we started planning a little sprinkle that centered around the expectant mama’s love of popcorn! Party Theme: We centered the party around the popcorn, but also wanted to include some other food options that also were “pop-related”. I designed the invitations to be a softer take on the “ready to pop” theme, with delicate transparent bubbles floating from the bottom of the invite to the top, and across the back. This pattern was used in all the paper printables, and carried through to the favor bags. Food + Decor: Tissue poms floated over the food and drink table, with the three different blends of popcorn taking center stage. We served a Spicy Caramel, Kettle Corn and a Savory Blend from a local restaurant with kale, corn pops and sea salt. Plus, we included other “pop-related” food items like Cheesy Popovers, Chocolate Cake Pops and yummy Kettle Popcorn Cookies. For the beverages, we popped some bubbly with a Rose Sparkling Wine and Italian Soda Pop, Sparkling Water, Red and White Wine. Favors: Since the shower was kept to an intimate group of 12 we were able to put together some special favor bags for each guest. The favor bags were tied with coordinating colored balloons, and contained a mini bottle of Champagne to pop open on 02.29.12 (baby’s due date), gumballs, Pop Rocks, Kettle Popcorn and Cake Pops. I designed special packaging for each item in the bag, which coordinating with the invitation and other signage.” Vendor Credits: Event Styling, Planning and Design (invites + signage printables) : Le Partie Sugar Linens and Styling: Shop Snug Haven Photography: Le Partie Sugar

Sock Monkey 1st Birthday Party

One look at this adorable SOCK MONKEY FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Jennifer Laws of The Laws of my Life and you will know why I chose to feature it next. I just love what Jennifer did with this theme! Jennifer said– “Jameson was an unexpected blessing. After having twins we were not sure we could handle one more. (I mean, how could our home even be sanitary enough for a baby!) But, after he came in to this world, we knew GOD had better plans for our family! Jameson has brought so much HOPE, LOVE and JOY to our lives! We could not have made it through such a rough year without his unending smile! This celebration was the perfect way to honor him, celebrate his life and praise God for His wonderfully perfect blessing! When we brought him home he was dressed in his sock monkey embroidered onesie, brown pants, a hand knit hat and socks. He was a sweet baby and the youngest of 3…all under 3! Today, one year later, we are so excited to share with you his first birthday celebration! (And, yes, this crazy party planner mama had the “theme” planned from the beginning!) I decided to incorporate his sock monkey outfit with a “celebration” honoring him, along with a champagne toast and a musical guest! Without further ado, check out Jameson’s First Birthday Celebration!” Vendor Credits: Photography: Jennifer Klotz Photography Jameson’s coming home hat/socks & party shirt: Gray Stitch Studio Invitations: mygatsby.com Party Printables: chickabug Sock Monkey #1 Cake Topper: Waxela Sananda Jameson’s Polka Dot Custom Party Hat and Bib: Dainty Couture Jameson’s Brown/Red Party Hat: Gingham Bunny Cake and Cupcakes: Cakes by Tina Musical Guest: Jeff Wood Catering: Chick-fil-A Party Inspiration: Kara’s Party Ideas

Peter Rabbit 1st Birthday Party

After that last adorable rabbit party I just couldn’t resist sharing another… This darling PETER RABBIT 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Daniela Saliba of Our Little Soiree. Who doesn’t love the classic Peter Rabbit books? Such a cute party theme. Perfect for Easter & Spring, too! Party Details told by Daniela– “I created this party for my son Chase’s 1st Birthday. I wanted a storybook theme as reading is such a beautiful memory from my childhood and I couldn’t wait to share this experience with Chase. I started with the printables and went from there collecting little pieces for props and beautiful products from all my favourite online party stores. The day was gorgeous and our beautiful photographer Laura of Laura Sheppard Photography was amazing. Her photos were priceless.” Vendors- Printables: Our Little Soiree Photography: Laura Sheppard Photography
