The Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st Birthday Party

How darling is this VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Lauren Borquez of Capes & Crowns!

Lauren said- “When my client contacted me last month for A Very Hungry Caterpillar party I was so excited to get started as the book is one of my favorites! She requested a simple, yet bright and bold look for her sweet soon to be one year old son, Remington. The entire party had a very happy feel to it and guests were treated to fruit shaped cookies based on ones the caterpillar loved, along with cake and cupcakes made by Hot Mama’s Bakery to fit the theme. The adorable printable set was provided by Vens Paperie. All images were captured by the wonderful Danielle McCann Photography. Little guests went home with gummy worm treats and the birthday boy had his own worm in dirt dessert!”

Back To School Party!

With School starting just around the corner I thought I would feature this darling BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY submitted by Mariah Leeson of Giggles Galore. SUCH a cute party with SO many adorable ideas!
Mariah said- “The carefree days of summer are coming to an end, but for school-aged kids a new adventure is just around the corner. Back-to-school means new friends, new teachers and new memories! Get your little ones excited about the new school year and celebrate with a Back to School Bash.My daughter is going to kindergarten this year and I wanted to start the school year off right and document this exciting milestone. I decided to use my daughter’s love of books and reading as the focus of our party. Dimpleprints created the perfect invitation calling all bookworms to join us for an afternoon of fun.I set-up an old desk and bookshelf I borrowed from a friend to display the party treats and goodies. I served a traditional “school lunch” with items that were easy to make and budget friendly. We had PB&J sandwiches in decorated glassine bags, applesauce, fruit cups, milk, cookies, chocolate covered Oreos, and apple cake pops.During “recess” the kids got to burn off some energy with old school themed activities like “Teacher Says” (Simon Says), Red Rover, Freeze Tag and Kickball. I also created a little reading nook and filled it with books about starting kindergarten and going to school. My friend and photographer Elayne Dunn Photography was on hand to capture a “class photo” and take individual photos of each child. I used the First Day of Kindergarten sign from the party package and put it into a decorative frame for each kid to pose with and create a memorable keepsake for mom. I also made oversized flashcards with the numbers that represent their first day of school. Our guest went home with a brown paper sack full of goodies to start the school year off right. The bags were filled with an apple shaped notepad, crayons, and a sweet treat. They were also given a composition notebook and bookmark to use as a journal throughout the year. Whether your child is starting kindergarten or they are a seasoned school pro throwing a Back to School party is an A+ idea!”

Country Picnic 3rd Birthday Party

This COUNTRY PICNIC THIRD BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Paula of Blog Holamamá is absolutely precious. I love the lace and brown paper everywhere. The sandwich wraps and cake toppers couldn’t be cuter, too.

Here is what Paula had to say about the party- “I would like to share with you my daughter’s birthday party. Clara was turning 3 and we created a great party with the theme “country picnic”. Cristina form Nice Party prepared it all for us with lovely details like a fruit metal basket and a liberty flowers garland.”

Snow White Princess Birthday Party

This SNOW WHITE FAIRY TALE BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Maureen of Anders Ruff will blow you away! Soooooo darling! I love all the crisp lines, and the vibrant colors.

Here is what Maureen had to say about their party- “Our Snow White Inspired Classic Fairy Tale birthday party incorporated a bit of vintage with a bit of royalty, while still remaining whimsical and kid friendly! Poisonous candy apples, fairy tale blue bird cookies, candy gem embellished cupcakes, printable elements and a pretty white ruffle cake are all elements that brought this storybook theme to life. Our printable invitation was designed to resemble a page from a fairy tale book, with customizations about the birthday girl.  Beginning with “Once upon a time”, and ending with “Will you live happily ever after?” (as the rsvp), the invitation sets the tone for this whimsical Snow White birthday party. The new printable collection featured the classic palette of royal blue, red and yellow, but was modernized a bit with some pops of a lighter Robin’s egg blue. The dessert table was adorned with classic fairy tale blue birds on the corners holding up a royal pennant “happy birthday” banner with red rope cording. Ruffles made of coordinating silk ribbon and layers of doilies were matted behind the printable party logo that decorated the poisonous candy apple (Pretzels Pleaze). A silhouette of a Snow White inspired character was printed and cut to put on the backdrop frame. I made French macarons in shades of yellow and blue to coordinate and they were topped with a printable flag. Poisonous Apple cupcakes (Cuprazed Cakery) were topped with a pretzel stick and printable patterned red leaf.  The cupcakes were wrapped with a printable cupcake wrapper from our new collection. Raspberry mousse with lady fingers were displayed with fresh berries, coordinating ribbon and a printable circle emblem with Grayce’s initial monogram. The blue bird cookies (Cookie XChange) were placed in a silver tea pot and filled with fresh red holly berries.  (Have you noticed that most fairy tale movies always have blue birds flocking around the main character?!) Antique silver serving pieces were filled with coordinating candies (from Oh Nuts).  We sprayed $1 circle frames from Michaels with a vintage gold spray paint and used those as our place card holders. Place settings held sweet cupcakes in vintage silver cups that were stuffed with pale yellow tulle.  We made candy gemstones to decorate the cupcakes. Cream puffs and macarons were also served on the royal pastries display. With the apple being a signature icon from Snow White, we chose to use apple slices on the side of the drink glassware.  The stems were adorned with a party flag with a signature Snow White red ribbon. The side table held favors and cosmetics for the girls to play with.  Red lipstick that is usually a no-no for 7 year olds was allowed at this Snow White bash.  (How could we have a snow white character without red lipstick!?)  A custom printable wrap dressed up the lipsticks. Cookie XChange also made cookies to look like gold mirror frames with the graphic initial, G (for Grayce) from our printables.  Grayce felt mighty special at her party with the personalized touch! The guest of honor, Grayce, dressed the part as Snow White in a custom dress by Made by Morgan.  We made headbands using coordinating ribbon and $1 store headbands for the girls to wear, along with princess slippers. Grayce’s friends also dressed as classic fairy tale characters, Belle and Cinderella.   (Made by Morgan custom dresses) What’s better than a fairy tale party with all of the favorite characters attending?! The girls got to decorate their own gold hand held mirrors with jewels. They also played with beautiful vintage gold crowns from Queen Bee Designs. A sweet little “thank you” apple tag was hanging from the mirror and the girls took this home as their favor from the party.” Credits and Sources- Party Styling, Production & Printable Graphics: Anders Ruff Photography: Becca Bond Photography Candy Apples: Pretzels Pleaze Cake: Got What It Cakes Apple Cupcakes: Cupcrazed Cakery Candy: Oh!
