I love the idea of inviting not just friends to a tea party but dolls as well! Some of my favorite things about this Dollie and me tea party are:
The paper tea cups
The wooden doll bed craft
The photobooth props for dolls
The rose cake

This is what Amber said about planning the party- “The idea for Landry’s party began with a plan for a doll bed I found online at Anna White Homemaker. The plan was simple enough for kids to participate, and the site even suggested it as an activity for a birthday party. Each bed would only cost about $2 to make, so it sounded like a great idea to me. Since we were going to make doll beds at the party, I thought the theme should be “Dollie and Me”. This would be my daughter’s first all girl party, and every girl was encouraged to bring her favorite doll with her.As I continued to think about all the details of the party, I knew we simply must include a tea party! A little inspiration from pinterest and chats with my mom, and we had a plan that had grown into something much more detailed than originally anticipated. As each detail came to fruition, I was absolutely thrilled. In the end I was pleased with how it all came together so well, especially since we were able to accomplish it on such a tight budget!

Outside, I needed something to fill my empty flower pots, so I used some scrap wood to make signs.  I drew them out and mom painted.  For the wreath, I just used a chipboard “L” and decoupaged it with scrapbook paper.  I attached it to a wreath I already had on hand.  The flowers are made with scrapbook paper as well.  The instructions from making these flowers are found online at Jones Design Company.

The table backdrop is just scrapbook paper. I slapped some masking tape to the back and stuck it up on the wall. The beautiful cake was made by my sweet neighbor and friend.  It went so perfectly with the theme! I used a method from That’s My Letter for the table cloth.

Photo Booths are so popular and fun at parties. And since the girls’ dolls were invited to the party, I thought it was only fair that they have photo props as well.  I used my handy dandy Silhouette to make them.  I just attached them to bamboo skewers. If you don’t have a Silhouette yet, put it on your wish list now!!!  Tell your husband it can be your birthday, anniversary, and Christmas gift all in one.  It is the handiest tool and you won’t regret it!

I was able to borrow enough little tables and chairs from friends to accommodate all of our little guests. We draped white fabric and lace table cloths, and made simple pink polka dot table runners.  My mom used her silhouette to cut out the paper tea cups, and we filled them with “Pink Party Popcorn” we found on Pizzazerie.  I re-purposed soda bottles for the vases and made the same type of paper flowers as the ones on the wreath.”

This is what Amanda said about the party- “My daughter Milla turned 5 recently and being a summer birthday, she wanted something beach themed. With a love of all things “Ariel”, we decided to have a mermaid beach themed party.

Complete with starfish, golden sands and a fabulous collection of seashell treats, the celebration was every little mermaid’s dream. A beach themed dessert table with beautiful hues of turquoise and lilac set the scene.

The party was in full swing as little guests, all with mermaid tails, enjoyed the beach themed treats. Mermaid Milly entertained all of Milla’s little mermaid friends with dancing, musical statues, face painting and of course, a game of pin the tail on the mermaid.
Most of the beach themed treats and the birthday cake were made by me but also the talented Catherine from Sweet Empire made the deliciously gorgeous macarons, shell cookies and pearls pops.

Doily-inspired Lovely Lace Tiffany blue paper plates and cups tied in perfectly with our mermaid theme along with the divine mermaid printables and customized back-drop that I designed and created. For a little extra sparkle, we adorned our printable hats and Milla’s party chocolates with ribbon, shells and starfish from our local craft store. Milla and all her little mermaid friends had a wonderful time.”

Ballerina 5th Birthday Party

The gorgeous BALLERINA FIFTH BIRTHDAY PARTY was styled by Amanda and Simone of invite me in Australia. Ballerina parties seem to be so popular right now, but I love that no two are alike. While most of them share the same color scheme (PINK!), each one is full of unique, beautiful ideas.

Here are some of my favorite elements in this ballerina party:
The stunning pink ombre ruffle cake
The stamped mini wooden spoons
The embellished paper party hats
The mini tutu-wearing dress form

This is what Amanda said about planning the party- “My gorgeous Grace turned five and loving ballet as much as she does, it was no surprise she requested a ballet themed birthday. Complete with twirling ribbons, pink ruffles and dancing cupcakes, the celebration was every little ballerina’s dream. A festival of all things pink and pretty, as long as there was lots of sparkle, Grace was always going to love it.

We knew the party had begun when a wave of tulle skirts and ballet slippers engulfed the house. Little ballerinas danced and played with Emma the ballerina who had them enthralled with all manner of ballet antics including pass the parcel, musical statues and musical chairs. After a little exercise, our petite party sat down for some afternoon tea.

The extremely talented Anita from Cake Envy provided the centerpiece of the table – an ombre ruffled cake with an oversized sugar flower and bejeweled centre – and ballerinas nibbled on beautiful ballet biscuits, strawberry mousse, tutu chocolates, ballerina push pops and candy.

Vintage-inspired Lovely Lace pastel pink paper plates and cups tied in perfectly with our ballet theme along with the Beautiful Ballerina printables and customized backdrop bunting designed and created by invite me. For a little extra sparkle we adorned our printable hats, sign and chocolates with ribbon, tulle and flowers from our local craft store. Nothing like a bit of cut and pasting to add that extra shine to your printables range!

Our ballerinas danced and twirled the afternoon away and after our guests left, my Grace turned to me and said. ‘Mummy, this is the best birthday I’ve ever had.’ You can’t beat praise like that.”

Minnie Mouse 5th Birthday Party

This MINNIE MOUSE FIFTH BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Nikka Morell of Triple M Good Parties.

This is such a fun Minnie Mouse party, complete with the pink and black color scheme! Here are some of my favorite things about this party:
The gumball machine shaped candy jars (tutorial on how to make them here)
The buttons and bows adorning the milk bottles
The glittery milk bottles
The Minnie Mouse cupcake wraps
The polka dot paper straws
and MORE!

Here’s what Nikka had to say about planning the party- “My daughter Mayson loves anything pink, sparkly and Minnie. Lucky for her, I do too! Now that Mayson is 5, she had a lot of “must have’s” for her party and I loved hearing all her ideas. I added sparkles and a Minnie Mouse bow to anything I could. I made some Minnie heads out of wood and fun candy jars with all of Minnie’s friends on them (as party favors). I also made all the food as pink as I could. So, the party sparkled, it was pink and it screamed Minnie! I passed the Minnie party test in my daughter’s eyes and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters! We all had a hot diggety dog time!”

Mermaid Under the Sea 5th Birthday Party

I am loving this MERMAID UNDER THE SEA 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Sharon Pardon of Cakes by Sharon! Everything is so lovely! The ruffles and light colors are simply divine.

Sharon said this about planning the party- “I had both my girls parties one week apart, very different ages and one loves mermaids. The colours came from the handmade backdrop I made and from there everything just fitted in:) I wanted bubbles like under water so we got lots of helium balloons and i wired them into the ground. Seashells were featured and lots of mermaid treasure games. I made everything myself, including the cake:).”
