This fantastic NAUTICAL MICKEY MOUSE THIRD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Michelle Stewart of Michelle’s Party Plan-It.

This is such an adorable and creative spin on a Mickey Mouse themed party! I already wanted to go on a Disney Cruise, but seeing this party just seals the deal. What could be more fun than Mickey? Mickey sailing, of course! Some of my favorite elements of this nautical Mickey Mouse party are:
The muslin favor bags adorned with hand-painted anchors
The adorable cake complete with a fondant rope and anchor
The “oyster pearl” gumballs in a corked gumball tube
The nautical Mickey themed cupcake toppers
and MORE!

This is what Michelle said about planning the party- “My little fella loves Mickey Mouse and anything to do with water, especially boats. One day while visiting Paradise Pier at Disneyland’s California Adventure, it hit me! A nautical Mickey Mouse birthday party would be perfect for his 3rd birthday!

To set the tone, I started with the invitation utilizing traditional nautical elements with some Mickey Mouse inspired details in red, white, aqua and navy blue. With the nautical theme being trendy right now, it was easy to find decorative items to coordinate. I even found Seagulls to hang overhead for that extra touch. I also reused several elements from past parties in the same color palette to stay within my budget. I handcrafted most of the paper items using my Cricut. I also learned how to make paper boats and sailor knots on YouTube. I personalized sailor hats for each child and hand painted muslin favor bags with red anchors and filled them with foam boats, whistles, anchor tattoos, bubbles and fish necklaces. The dessert tables were filled with candy and cupcakes along with Mickey cake pops, marshmallow cereal treats and cookies made by my friends Jamie and Theresa.”

Mining + Construction Themed 3rd Birthday Party

This fabulous MINING + CONSTRUCTION THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by De Kock of Organizit Party Styling! So many adorable ideas here! I love the day wages, the dynamite, the candy rocks, the lunches…and more!

This is what De said about planning the party- “This party was such a fun one to plan! The birthday boy is crazy over anything to do with mining or construction and so ofcourse, this was the theme for his third birthday party. We had juice to quench the thirst, chips and gummy hamburgers for “lunch”, liquorice balls as “rocks”, liquorice strips for “rope”, sweet treats at the danger signs, romany creams as “dirt” and chocolate coins for the “day’s wages”. The cake was a chocolate mining construction site and the kids each received their own personalised safety helmet!”

Play Doh Themed 3rd Birthday Party

This adorable PLAY DOH THEMED THIRD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Katelyn Meekel of Events by Kate! WHAT a darling party theme, don’t you think?! So original and FUN! Any child would just love to attend a party like this. So many unique and adorable ideas here…

Katelyn said this about planning the birthday party- “My favorite childhood pastime was when I would go to my grandma’s house and she would have just whipped up a new batch of homemade play dough. She had everything from cookie cutters, farm animals, and tons of cool gadgets to shape and play and make new creations! It was no surprise that when I was sorting through some childhood toys (Just over a year ago) I came across some of these items that my grandma had saved for me, naturally I decided that in one year I would have a play dough party for my 3 year old son Riley!

Décor: The backdrop and printables and concept were all bright fun colors, customized with my son’s name! I had colored balloons, a fun orange backdrop behind his cool custom poster! We had an art easel, and cool party hats! I made 10 pounds of different colored play dough for the event as well (With a secret recipe for everyone to take home). Traditional rolling pins were given as party favors!

Food: The giant cake in the middle of the table (Yes that is a cake!) was designed by my all-time favorite cake artists “Sweet Spot Cupcakes”! This was really the centerpiece that made the party! We had some cutesy finger foods, sprinkled doughnuts and cookies, as well as 6 different colored Jello push up pops! I also put out adorable little gum ball machines filled with multi colored skittles (A little taste of the rainbow)!

My son was really blessed to have his loved ones with him to celebrate his third birthday! He had such an amazing day, with tons of new (Play dough) themed toys to keep him occupied for the next year, I am loving the fact that amongst all the chaos of the day, I was able to relax and actually spend time with my little boy, and play in the dough.”
