Rainbow Fish 3rd Birthday Party

How adorable is this RAINBOW FISH 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Cris McGrath of Chrissy’s Crafts?! Oh how my little guy would love this party! I love the “bait” and “school of fish” treats!

Here is what Cris had to say about the party- “We had my son’s 3rd birthday party couple of days ago and I’d like to share with you some of the highlights of the party. My son loves water and the rainbow fish book so we decided to do a Little Fish Party! The party was a breeze to style using the printables from Amanda’s Party to Go. The colors were so bright and fun! For the dessert table, the children enjoyed fishy cupcakes, fish food (m&m’s), fish pops, cake pops, marshmallow pops, jelly fish (Jello), bait (gummy worms in a bucket), school of fish (gummy fish), and deep blue sea juice. Before they hit the sweet table, the little guests ate Whale crackers, fish sandwiches, fish skewers (fruits), fin-tastic veggies and submarines. The kids also enjoyed an afternoon full of games and crafts. The activities included Go Fish, Pin the Scale on the fish, Fish Hand Print Art, Face Painting, and Freeze little fish dance. At the end of the party, the guests  took home the ‘catch of the day’ (fish string bag on a fish pole) full of goodies!” Printables: Amanda’s Party to Go

Firetruck 3rd Birthday Party

Stop, drop and roll! This clever FIRETRUCK 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Alison M. English of The English Pea Studio. I absolutely love it.
Here is what Alison had to say about the party– “My little guy decided on a fire truck theme for his 3rd birthday party. Our local fire department has a gorgeous, restored vintage fire truck that graces the front lawn of one of their firehouses. I created the fire truck and fire hydrant from photographs that I took at that scene.
I wanted to create a modern twist using the chevron pattern throughout the décor. I also used small black polka dots on a white background mimicking the dots on a Dalmatian.
In keeping with a rustic, vintage theme I used burlap, old wood crates, mason jars, and old glass jars as containers. I found several lovely accessories – a hat, truck and fire hydrant you see pictured. I carried the black and white polka dots through the food in offering chocolate covered marshmallow pops, white chocolate covered oreos, and white chocolate dipped pretzel rods. The cake was adorned with a Dalmatian and a red fire hydrant made specific for the event.
For an educational twist I used the words “stop, drop, and roll” on some of the elements and on the party favor bags – a fun way to remember a key instruction in fire safety.
We began the party with a tour of a local firehouse. The children enjoyed looking at the truck, learning about each vehicle, equipment, and the fireman’s attire and living quarters. Our tour guide was informative and fun and each child left the fire house with a hat and coloring book. We headed back to my home for the rest of the festivities where we ate and opened gifts. In addition to the hats and coloring books each child left with a favor bag – designed to echo the same patterns used in the décor. The bags were filled with “fireman’s rope” (red twizzlers), “drops” (red cherry sours), and “rolls” (tootsie rolls).
The fire tour was a big hit with all the children and a fun and informative activity that was offered free to the public by our local fire department. Fun was had by all!”Vendor Credits:

‘Route 3′ Red Car 3rd Birthday Party

What little boy doesn’t love playing with cars? This adorable “ROUTE 3” RED CAR 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Katie Malandrino of Green Apple Paperie. I love how Katie decorated the party from head to toe in red car themed items. I’m sure the ‘fast lane’ punch and spare tire cookies were a hit. Everything is oh so cute! Katie said– “This party was for my son, Luca, who turned three back in September. I went with a simple car theme but wanted to incorporate his age into the theme in a creative way. So the idea of the Route 66 signs came to mind. I used his age inside the route sign for the cake topper, cake pops flags and the cookies as well. The cookies were done by A Dozen Eggs Bake Shoppe in Vermont. They went above and beyond in creating custom cookies for me. I ordered them right after Vermont got hit with a major storm that caused tremendous flooding and damage around their bakery. I was very impressed that they were able to still send out my order despite the conditions of their area. Great customer service! I made a table runner to look like a street and placed painted wooden cars on the runner to add some fun to the dessert table. My sister-in-law crafted the birthday cake.” Credits: Photography – Caryn Scanlan Cookies- A Dozen Eggs Bake Shoppe Printables- Green Apple Paperie

Magic Themed 3rd Birthday Party

This MAGIC THEMED 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Meredith Santucci of MJ Paperie is so much fun. I have a good friend who is planning a magic themed birthday party right now, she is going to love this! So many great ideas. I’m sure little Johnny loved his party. Here is what Meredith said about the party- “My son, Johnny is every bit of THREE and has quite a magical imagination. The theme selection ultimately came from a play on the letter 3, thus evolving into “3 is the magic number” (on the invitation) and then the magic theme altogether. (DECOR) For decor, we decided to forego the “rabbit in a hat” but used other magic-related props like cards, wands, capes and hats. The wands were carried from the head table place settings (napkin wraps) to the dessert table (“magic wand” chocolate covered pretzel rods.) Hats sat as small centerpieces to the other tables (and on kids’ heads!) as well as on each cupcake with the sweets. We sewed magic capes for each child who attended and embroidered their names on the backs, serving as “chair covers.” The kids really played into the theme w/ the hats, capes and wands! The background fabrics (red and black dots) we loved! It allowed us to brighten them up with the yellow that we used on the invitation and really tied all of the colors together nicely. The favor boxes matched the black and white polka dot table cloths and served as the perfect finishing touch as all of the guests left (inside they each got black and white winter gloves, plus toys, candy and other trinkets!) The paper products all coordinated with yellow and white stripes from the invitation, to the door sign (“Knock 3 times to enter”) to the food tent cards to the napkin and favor box charms to the cake topper and straw flags. (FOOD) For food we served Italian as the main course (“magical meatballs,” “charmed chicken parm,” and “hocus pocus pasta!”) For the dessert table (the main focus), we made the cupcakes with custom designed cupcake bands and top-hat toppers. The top hat cake came from Indulgence Bakery and oreo cookies made up the “Tricky Tower.” On the right end of the table we served “optical illusions” which were cherry jell-o and cool whip layered treats. In the back of the table, we fanned the “magic wands” (mentioned above) out of a tall pedestal vase to complete the look!
