Pirate Themed Brother Birthday Party

Shiver me timbers, it’s a fabulous PIRATE THEMED BROTHER BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Katie Cogbill of Kaden Ashley Printable Designs!

Katie said- “Last month my two boys, Aidan and Kai, celebrated their 4th and 2nd birthdays. Their birthdays are just 3 days apart, so having a joint party was a no-brainer. Aidan, the 4 year old, loves anything pirate. He was even Captain Hook for Halloween this year. So a pirate party it was! I started off creating the pirate ship invitation. I chose classic pirate colors of red and black and added shades of aqua blue to make it a little more child like. Then it was onto the tablescape. I dressed up a simple black linen with a polka dot overlay that I sewed with fabric from the fabric store. I also created fabric bunting with various colors and patterns of fabric and simply hot glued onto bias tape. Throughout the party you will see Kayden Ashley touches; from the water bottle labels and popcorn cones to creative food tags such as Captain Cogbill’s Catch O’ the Day (Goldfish crackers). The kids all went home with a pirate sword, eye patches and pirate booty. The pirate booty bags made out of plain muslin bags that I customized with a skull and crossbones and the childs name and filled with chocolate coins. Custom cookies and cupcake toppers were created to match my designs by Kristin of Sweet Spot. I added some flair to the PB&J sandwiches using Uncrustables that are found in the freezer section of the grocery store and stamped with a skull and crossbones using a toast stamper and edible ink. This was a fabulous idea that I found from Sweeten Your Day Events. I also pre-scooped the ice cream the night before into paper cups from The Tomkat Studio. The little wooden spoons from The Tomkat Studio were also hand stamped with a skull and crossbones.” Vendors and Credits: Printables and Styling- Kayden Ashley Printable Designs Photography- Jiahn Cerda Photography Cookies and Toppers- Sweet Spot Ice Cream Cups and Spoons- The Tomkat Studio Linens, serving tray and drink container- Encore Event Rentals Linen “pirate booty” bags, wooden spoons, jute twine, pirate patches, gold coins, polkadot balloons, pirate pennant banner- Available in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop

Kite Themed 2nd Birthday Party

Come fly away with me as you look at this darling celebration. This KITE THEMED 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Andressa Hara of Twinkle Twinkle Little Party. Here is what Andressa said about her event- “The inspiration for this party came from a cute 3×3 kite frame I received from a very sweet couple as a baby shower gift when I was expecting Connor. I knew from that day I had to do something special with it considering I am a big fan of kites of all types and colors. It brings me back memories growing up in Brazil and having a brother who loved to fly kites out in the streets – good times with not too many distractions :) I wanted to put together something very simple because all the little guests were younger than my little boy and I didn’t want to overwhelm the little tots with so much sugar :) The dessert table consisted of plain vanilla cupcakes, milk shooters for the parents, cake, candy jars filled with gumballs. I designed: 1)Goody bag toppers “clouds” (cotton candy) , kite tails (sour belt) and sundrops(lemon drops). 2)Chocolate wrappers – I placed standard size Hershey’s chocolate bar in Wilton’s clear treat bags, wrapped the custom chocolate wrappers and tied the bags with a ribbon. 3)Tags for yellow treat bags I purchased at Michael’s which they filled with candies to take home. 4)Bubble labels (Bubbles bought at Party City) 5)Water Labels I also built kites and we had a kite decorating station for the little tots – glitter glue, stickers and mini pompoms. I made party hats using textured scrapbook paper bought at Jo Ann’s, embellished the hats using leftover ribbon and attached a 3D tag which said “Fligh High”. Fresh lemonade, juice pouches, ham and cheese sandwich, and pasta salad were served.” Cupcake, cake, sugar cookies – local bakery Cloud cake pops – Simply cupcakes of Tampa Balloons- Party Scene Gable Boxes – Michael’s Book shelf – Michael’s

Toy Themed Birthday Party

Today I am featuring this darling TOY THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Luciana Perali of Atelie Festejar from Brazil. How cute is this classic party theme? I love all the homemade DIY touches.
As the children arrived they were given a fun vintage toy bag, including a do it yourself kite kit. All the moms received “playground kits”, including sunscreen, moisturizer & bandaids! Such a cute idea.
The toy themed treats and desserts couldn’t be displayed more perfectly. I love all the airplanes and kites. And look at the cute aviator goggles on the drink bottles!
Here is what Luciana said about the party- “First of all I am a mother of boys and know that innovation in their party is very complicated because we can not use many things that are so available in the US. The theme of this party was toys. An airplane was built to showcase some of the treats and we decorated the chairs with fabric kites made out of scented sachets. The details on the desserts are incredible. Look at the intricate work on the cupcakes and cake. Other sweet treats included bala de coco, macarons, cotton candy and cake pops.”

Dinosaur 2nd Birthday Party

Today’s feature goes to this super fun DINOSAUR 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Stephanie Keeping of Spaceships and Laser Beams. What a cute take on the classic Dinosaur theme! The bone banner is too clever. And take a look at all the various dinosaur eggs made out of kiwi’s & chocolates, etc! Everything is just darling. Here is what Stephanie said about the party- “I wanted to share a dessert table featuring our Prehistoric Party Printable Collection. Menu for the dessert table included a variety of dinosaur “eggs”, bread made to look like dino bones that have been excavated, chocolate chip cake and vanilla dinosaur cupcakes. There was also a Brownie Dino Dig- I really love the dinosaur party games that let little guests dig through dirt/ sandboxes outside to find dinosaur bones or eggs. I wanted to replicate it in a dessert.” Vendor Credits: Printables, Styling and Photography: Spaceships and Laser Beams Printable Designer: Andrew Kolb Baked Goods: Goodness Bakeshop
