The flag of the Philippines has 2 horizontal bands: the upper is royal blue, the lower is scarlet red. At the hoist of the flag is a white equilateral triangle containing an 8-ray star and three 5-point stars at the 3 corners of the triangle. The flag can represent a state of war if it is displayed with the red band up, and the blue down.
