Australia’s biggest party planning fair will explode across the east coast of AU this winter, encouraging aspiring hosts to raise the standard of soirees thrown around the country! The one‐day events bring together 45 exhibitors that answer all your hosting questions from amazing styling tips, delicious sweets, themes and stationery to floral arrangements, pretty décor and how to setup that perfect dessert table.

Sydney will be the first city to host Confetti Fair on Sunday, May 5th 2013 from 11am – 4pm at Mosman Drill Hall. People visiting can attend mini workshops and see collaborative party setups by some of the best party stylists in Sydney. Presale tickets only, no door sales. Confetti Fair, the brainchild of Sydney mother, Claire Cassey, rides the wave of popularity for culinary brilliance and hosting prowess, offering creative party ideas and inspiration over three events in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Girl Scouts Themed Party

How wonderful is this GIRL SCOUTS THEMED PARTY submitted by Cris McGrath of Crissy’s Crafts?! I just love it! I have never seen a Girl Scouts Ceremony party & think this is just too cool! How cute would a Girl Scouts themed birthday party be for your little girl who loves being a scout! So many darling ideas here…

Cris said this about planning the party- “The Investiture and Re-Dedication Ceremony is a big part of Girl Scouts. The Ceremony is held to welcome new girls into Girl Scouting and for the girls that are already invested to reaffirm their belief in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Because of the importance of these events, I wanted to give the girls a beautiful but meaningful ceremony. We started the ceremony with a Flag Ceremony, welcomed the new girls with a Candle Light Ceremony, played a skit about Stereotype (current patch they are working on it) and closed the ceremony singing “Make New Friends”.

After the ceremony, the girls and their family enjoyed some light refreshments that included trail mix, cake pops, cake balls, brigadeiros de copinho (Brazilian chocolate dessert), sweet popcorn and lemonade. As favors, the guests took home s’mores favors and each Girl Scouts received a Butterfly necklace. Since now they are Juniors, the butterfly necklace has a special meaning for them. As they get older, they are growing their wings to fly to higher places on their own. Scouting is a fun way to teach young ladies on how to make the world a better place.”
