This is what Danielle said about planning the party- “I am by no means a party planner; however, when my daughter’s birthday rolls around every year, I inevitably want to pull something together. I love crafting and never have the time for it, so her birthday gives me a good excuse to do it at least once a year!
For the party, I really wanted to play on my daughter’s favorite color (PINK, of course!). We used any and all shades of pink with tons of patterns. The dresser that was used for the dessert table as well as the rug underneath are from my daughter’s bedroom. She helped me make the ribbon curtain (from approximately 100yds of ribbon!) and the vases covered in ribbon. Lauren, of Capes & Crowns, came over one day to help me spray paint 4 chairs, 10 trays, and 10 frames with every shade of pink I could find. I really couldn’t have pulled this all together without the help!
All of the decorations were DIY – the printables, the framed “5″, all frames, chairs, platters, vases, etc. I was lucky enough to find the paper straws and cupcake cups locally and they went with the theme perfectly!”

This KAWAII LOVE EIGHT BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Christine Kantaporn of Pure Joy Events. Isn’t it cute?! I haven’t seen this theme yet and I love it!
Christine said- “With its apple green walls, blush pink curtains, and off white furniture, Cailtyn’s bedroom was the perfect space to hold her 8th birthday party. Inspired by Paper Glitter’s Japanese Kawaii Love party kit, the room was decorated with cherry blossoms balloons, kawaii banners, bento boxes, Iwako erasers, and a giant panda balloon. In the center of the room, comfy chair cushions were placed along an activity table that sat low to the ground. Caitlyn’s 100+ collection of Iwako erasers were displayed on nail polish racks. Lime green and hot pink bento lunch boxes were wrapped with water bottle labels from the printable collection. Wooden clothes pins adorned with decorative washi tape were used to hang kawaii prints and secure glassine favor bags.
I kept the desserts simple — just cake, cupcakes and mochi ice cream. A raspberry butter cream cake and chocolate cupcakes were decorated with beautifully sculpted fondant toppers by Sugar High, Inc.
Each guest received a handcrafted book personalized with their name in Japanese. The girls drew kawaii faces with scented glitter gel pens and decorated their books with washi tape.
Using panda rice molds, food picks, cutters, nori punchers and other fun accessories, the girls prepared their bento boxes. Lunch was served with flavored sodas from Japan. Candy sushi filled gummy worms, Swedish fish and Twizzlers, wrapped with Rice Krispies Treats and Fruit by the Foot, and topped with roe-like mango poppers were a huge hit.
Each favor bag contained Paper Glitter’s kawaii panda stationery set, washi tape on a wooden spool, and an Iwako panda.”

You’re going to love this HELLO KITTY 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Pri Tuschinski!
Pri said- “My daughter was turning one in April this year. We live in Brazil and here people are used to hiring companies to do the whole party, including decoration. The person asks for a theme, and the company assembles the party. But I wanted something special, unique, not made before, totally planned by me, the super mother. lol And decorating and crafting everything for her party was a pleasure.
I decided to do a colored themed party for her, in light pink, red and Tiffany blue. But since she started to have a huge crush on Hello Kitty, we had to have the kitty too.
The cake, candies and all the food was made by a local baker – and it was delicious! We had a great time, and at the end, Daddy proposed mommy.. so it was the perfect party for us.”
