Bake Shop Birthday Party

This BAKE SHOP BIRTHDAY PARTY by Johanne Lynch of Mum’s Little Party Secret is perfect! I love the bake shop awning over the table. The display couldn’t be cuter! If you’re looking for sweet shoppe or bake shop party ideas then here’s the place!

Johanne said- “Our daughter, Maicey, turned 7 in April. To celebrate we decided to throw her a Bake Shoppe Party. Maicey loves to cook and especially help make and decorate cupcakes. So the theme suited perfectly. We wanted to keep the party small so all of the guests got to enjoy making, baking and decorating their very own cupcakes. Maicey invited 3 little friends to come along – Emily, Madison and Jazzy. We transformed our kitchen and meals area into “Maicey’s Bake Shoppe”. We decorated the area with a hot pink and aqua colour scheme, Maicey’s favourite colours. When the girls arrived they all received handmade personalized aprons. These were also a take home gift. They also received a calico bag filled with their Cupcake ingredients. The girls were a little older, so we thought they were old enough to enjoy the whole cupcake making process. They got to measure out all the ingredients, crack the eggs and use the kitchen aid to mix everything together. Once finished they then choose from a range of cupcake wrappers for their cupcakes. Time to wait for these little cupcakes to rise. The girls then decorated their cupcakes with icing and sprinkles. We also set up a packing station. They each had a cupcake display box and were able to choose stickers and ribbon to decorate their box with. They also wrote little cute notes to their Mums and Dads and placed them inside of the boxes. We filled the dessert table with all of Maicey’s favourite sweets. Cupcakes, cheesecake, banana splits, jam and cream donuts, strawberries, mini sandwiches and plenty of lollies. The girls also got to fill up take home lolly containers with sweet treats and personalized chocolate bars. Happy 7th Birthday Maicey!” Vendors and Credits: Event Planning & Styling, Printables & Invitations, and Photography – Mum’s Little Party Secret Party Supplies Used In This Party: Glass Milk Bottles Striped Paper Straws Frosting Baking Tips & Cupcake Supplies Linen/Muslin Bags for Cupcake Mix Apothecary Jars Candy Sprinkles

Pappa’s Pizzeria Mustache Pizza Party

I am in love with this PAPPA’S PIZZERIA PIZZA THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY submitted by Jen Hanna of Sweeten Your Day Events! Such a fun and unique party theme that  you don’t see much! How cute are the chef cake pops?!

Party details and description at bottom of post…

“This was a Papa’s Pizzeria: Moustaches & Mozzarella party that I did. For this party, each kid got to make their own pizza. There was a special ‘pizza making’ station. At the table each setting had a personalized chef hat, pie tin (to cook their pizza in), mini rolling pin, and a paddle to roll their dough on. In the center of the table there were the toppings: pizza sauce (in a squeeze bottle to make it super easy for the kids), mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, pineapple, and olives. After each child rolled out their dough, we sprinkled a little cornmeal in the bottom on the pie tin, and then the kids put in their dough and topped. This was also nice because we wrote the names of each child on the base of the tin to know who’s belonged to who and also you could fit 2-4 pizza’s in the oven at a time. While the pizza’s cooked we had a fun little place setting at the dinning room table for them. At each place setting there was an activity placemat, box of crayons, cup with a moustache straw and their personalized party favor bags. Inside the bags was a sheet of adhesive moustaches, a container of salt dough, mini moustache rolling pin, and a thank you card. The activity placemat was so adorable! The kids had so much fun drawing moustaches on the chef, coloring a pizza, and doing the word search! Great job from Southern Belle’s Charm and graphic design done by Frog Prince Paperie! There was also a mini dessert bar for the kids to munch on as well, gotta have one! The table was accented with a chef menu chalk board, moustaches, pizza paddle, and some paper fan flowers. For treats we had: Lil’ Lemon Chef Cupcakes, Pizza Slice Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Moustaches on a stick, and Orange flavored Gelato Push-up Pops. I made little mini chef hats for the pops, tied a checkered handkerchief around the base, and stuck on an adhesive moustache, just a fun way to jazz them up a bit.” Vendor Credits: Party design and details- Sweeten Your Day Events Pizza box invitations, placemats, pinwheel centerpiece, party favor supplies, receipt thank you cards, cartoon cutout chef - Southern Bell’s Charm Graphic Design- Frog Prince Paperie Pizza slice cookies - Katie Duran Favor Bags - Papernook Paper Fan Flowers - Kelsey’s Treasure Moustache straws - Little Retreats Little chef cupcake toppers, chocolate moustache sticks, chef push-up pops - Sweeten Your Day Chef hats, sticky moustaches (in favor bags) - Oriental Trading

Bun in the Oven Baby Sprinkle + Baby Shower

This BUN IN THE OVEN BABY SHOWER + BABY SPRINKLE submitted by Sarah Crawford of Lil Hoot has got to be one of my most favorite parties yet! HOW creative and just simply ADORABLE! A lot of the food and desserts were set up on toy kitchens. And most of the creative titles, labels and tags were play on words, having to do with baking. So. Cute.

“As soon as my friend and colleague Stacey (a fabulous baker/owner of Sugar on Top) became pregnant with her second child, I wanted to throw her a Bun in the Oven Sprinkle. It could not have been a more perfect theme for my sweet baker friend! I used a lot of plays on words like the banner that read “Let’s toast the bun in the oven!” which I hung over the vintage toy kitchen that we gifted the baby to be. We placed a sign on the kitchen that read “Baby Butler’s kitchen- Grand opening February 2012″. Guests were also asked to write Baby Butler a message “pretty please with sugar on top”. I kept everything on the toy kitchen on a small scale using small baking dishes and ramekins in bright colors, and even used measuring cups to display the cookies! We also set up another toy kitchen, as well. I used an aqua quatrafoil contact paper to line the shelves of both kitchens. They were also both covered in sweet treats, while champagne was kept cool in the “sinks”. Plus, Mommy-mosas and Belly-inis, as well as Preggers Punch were offered in sugared rimmed aqua champagne flutes. An adorable red velvet aqua cake with pink and red sprinkled hearts { inspired by Sprinklebakes} was lovingly baked by Pickwick Baking Co., as well as brioche Cinnamon buns and delightful macarons in 5 vibrant colors/flavors. I even put the guest of honor (Sugar on Top) to work and had her bake some of her delicious sugar cookies in stripes and polka dots to match the party decor, as well as cake pops with sugar on top. One display of the cake pops was in a pink toy toaster with a label that read “Cake pops- the best thing since sliced bread”. I made a garland using baking twine and cupcake liners (inspired by the blog Hey Look) to decorate the space as well as hung brightly colored whisks and spatulas with multi-colored ribbon from the ceiling. Graphic Designer Extraordinaire, Jayme Marie, created all the fabulous paper goods – using a diner font for all the menus and the most darling graphic of a vintage oven with a bun in it! As usual, the amazingly talented Meredith Nelson captured the joyful spirit of the event perfectly and also managed to snap a few shots of Stacey holding a fresh-baked bun in front of her bun in the oven! Guests were given brightly colored polka dotted pot holders by Jessie Steel, which also held the napkins/utensils. The favor tag read “Thanks for the sprinkles of love for Stacey and her bun in the oven” tied with baker’s twine.” Vendors and Credits Party Styling- Lil Hoot Printables- Jayme Marie Sugar Cookies and Cake Pops- Sugar on Top Cake, Cinnamon Buns, and Macarons- Pickwick Baking Co.
