This super cute ARMY BOOTCAMP THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Teresa Anderson of Hugs and Punches.
What a fun party full of fabulous ideas! Some of my favorite elements are:
Teresa said this about planning the party- ”Six year old Anton wants to be in the Army when he grows up so he requested a Bootcamp Birthday Party. Challenge accepted.
After getting geared up and ready, the birthday boy’s dad sat the kids down for a few minutes to talk to them about what it means to be a soldier and how men & women in the military give their lives to protect us. Per Anton’s request, he also explained a little about a group called Goruck that his daddy is very involved in. Complete with a rucksack full of bricks, these 12-17 hour Goruck Challenges are a slice of what the Special Forces go through in training.
Through these challenges, this party was born.
Though the kids initially thought of it as a race, they began to understand that they needed to work together as a team on several of the events. They also sweated it out running tires, hurdles, {fake} barbed wire army crawl, and several climbing & balancing challenges.
After several water breaks, it was time for cake and snacks. There were lots of “oohs & ahhs” as the boys and girls unwrapped their cupcakes and saw that even those were camouflage inside.
Everything from the cake and snacks, to the construction of the events themselves were fully made by Ben & Teresa, the birthday boy’s mom and dad.”

There are so many fun and creative ideas in this Army party. A few of my favorites are:
The Army tank shaped cake
The camouflage Army hats
The “rations” favor bags
and MORE!
This is what Lizelle said about planning the party- “I just love planning creative parties and with this Army party it was definitely possible!! I used chocolate milk and condensed milk as medicine for the first aid kit. Kit kat chocolates for the soldiers to have on their “break”, caramel popcorn as “cracker bullets”, liquorice as “rescue ropes”, white candy floss as “chloroform bombs” and a packet of sweets as “rations”. This party was such a hit and so exciting to plan. We made binoculars out of toilet paper rolls and each “soldier” could take home a box of goodies. The war is over! :-)”

I styled this ARMY CAMOUFLAGE THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY awhile back, and am excited to finally post about it today!
I set the party up on a regular table, covered in an actual army navy blanket. Above the table was a mock army tent, made out of pvc pipe and pieces of a tent purchased from the Army Navy Supply Store! I went to an antique shop and found old army filing cabinets and bullet boxes, which I used on top of the table for the various party items to sit on!
The cake topper was so easy to make! I simply blew up a grenade water balloon from my shop with air {instead of water} and tied it to a wooden dowel. I then inserted the dowel into a cute chocolate cake from Dippidee…
Activity sheets and plastic parachute army men from my shop sat atop one of the ammo boxes, along with a bandana {also available in the shop} filled with “rations”. The tags were simple to make. I used burlap from my shop and rope…
Brown paper sacks from the shop were easily made into favor bags. We added plastic doggy tags to the front of each bag, and filled the bag with army themed favors and toys from the shop. On top of it all was fun green and tan krinkle shred, also available in my shop…
Clear plastic paint pails from my shop were filled with army themed toys {also available in my shop}…
I set out a lot of the cute party items on an actual army tray {purchased at the Army Navy store}. Army blow outs, parachute men, gummy candies & grenade balloons from Kara’s Party Ideas Shop…
We used the Top Secret Army tins from my shop as lunch pails labeled as “MRE’s”!
And you can’t have a party without balloons! These army themed balloons can be purchased in the Kara’s Party Ideas Shop!
I put juice inside an army green gas can! Don’t worry, the can was brand new, and had never been used. It was washed and as clean as could be :]. Butter mint creams, army themed drink containers, clear plastic treat pail, paper plates & napkins available in Kara’s Party Ideas Shop.
We also cut up bandanas into strips used to tie the favor bags together on top…
The kids looked adorable in these child size army hats available in my shop…
Clear plastic tins available in the KPI shop…
