Kara’s Mickey Mouse themed Birthday Party!

I’m so excited to finally showcase my MICKEY MOUSE THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY!

I wanted to create a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed party full of fabulous DIY ideas to inspire and help all of you throw a killer Mickey party from start to finish. I hope you can create the perfect Mickey party for your little guy or girl by following these tips, tutorials and ideas!

Before I go any further, here is a fun video from my show that goes through this whole Mickey Mouse Party…showing you how to make all of the projects and decor first hand!

The above red buckets are available in my shop. I simply glued on two white circles to make them look like Mickey Mouse. The same idea could also be used at a Minnie Mouse party…just get black buckets (or pink) and glue polka dots onto the buckets.

Make these hats out of regular red party hats from my shop and black paper circles. Simply attach two black paper circles to the back of the party hat.

Make the above lanterns out of Chinese lanterns available in the shop. Simply attach round paper circles to the backs of the lanterns.

Silhouette Inspired 1st Birthday Party

Here’s what Vana said about the party- “We had a mix of themes for our little man’s 1st birthday party. The main one was ‘Movie in the Park’ and Little Man and puppies. I incorporated my son’s 12 months of silhouettes (I drew his silhouette each month of his life until his first birthday). And of course our little man was as dapper as he could be. DIY Bow ties were part of his attire, decorations, props and party favors for his guy friends and bow clips for the lady friends. The dessert table consisted of cupcakes, macaroons, powder donuts and cake pops as well as sweet marshmallows. Lots of preppy stripes and dots went without saying – green and different hues of blue, and of course yellow – Hello Spring! I created a cute sign “Movie in the park. Grab a blanket and enjoy!” and lots of pillows and blankets for the kids to grab and get comfortable watching a puppy movie. Some of the fun DIY projects included the topiary trees made with boxwood balls, bow ties and bow hair clips and silhouette banner. We worked with the talented Kelly Lyden of WH Hostess to perfect each detail of the party. Kelly’s eye for detail and all things party, made this party extra special. Here’s what Tammy said about planning the party- “I’m so used to creating “themed” parties for my kids, that when I was asked to put a little something together for a friend, it threw me for a loop not having a specific theme to work with. That’s when I realized that just celebrating the birthday in and of itself was a good enough theme! I decided to just make it colorful and fun…like something that would make you want to party! :) I whipped up a new party printable set that is a generic “Happy Birthday” theme if you will, so that it will apply to all ages and genders. I didn’t have a huge budget, so I used all things that I had around the house and that I was able to find in dollar bins at Target and at the 99cent store to pull it all together. I also handmade a couple of quick and easy elements and food items. I think it turned out to be something really cute, fairly easy to pull together and relatively inexpensive… three of my favorite things! ;)”

Easter Themed Vintage Bake Sale Party
