Cris said this about planning the party- “We had a BUNCO party to celebrate my daughter’s 14th Birthday. The girls didn’t know much about the game upon arrival but I explained the rules while they had dinner. We served all my daughter’s favorite appetizers for dinner like zingers, cream cheese/herbs dip(in the shape of a dice – made by my daughter), pizza rolls, dumplings, spring rolls and mozzarella sticks. After dinner we started the game and took a break after a couple rounds for some dessert! As per my daughter request, we had a chocolate fountain! It was a huge hit! None of the girls had ever had the pleasure to enjoy such yummy treat! As for dipping, they enjoyed some fresh strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels and Oreos. We got back to the game and at that point all the girls were into the game! The music was loud, they were screaming and giggling! We had a bright pink boa that was passed around every time someone else scored a BUNCO! We were able to finish all the 6 rounds of the game! The winner took home the boa as a prize! We also had favors for all the girls! They took home giant plush dice, candy, chocolate bar and beads. After the game we sang Happy Birthday and opened the gifts. We had Oreo ice cream cake(my daughter’s favorite cake), dice cake pops and chocolate cornered fortune cookies for our second round of desserts! The girls loved playing BUNCO and now they want to organize a Mother/Daughter BUNCO Mexican Night!”

Here’s what Tammy said about planning the party- “I’m so used to creating “themed” parties for my kids, that when I was asked to put a little something together for a friend, it threw me for a loop not having a specific theme to work with. That’s when I realized that just celebrating the birthday in and of itself was a good enough theme! I decided to just make it colorful and fun…like something that would make you want to party! :) I whipped up a new party printable set that is a generic “Happy Birthday” theme if you will, so that it will apply to all ages and genders. I didn’t have a huge budget, so I used all things that I had around the house and that I was able to find in dollar bins at Target and at the 99cent store to pull it all together. I also handmade a couple of quick and easy elements and food items. I think it turned out to be something really cute, fairly easy to pull together and relatively inexpensive… three of my favorite things! ;)”

Here’s what Renee said about the party- “This birthday party was for Nina’s daughter Lola’s 6th Birthday. This Vintage Candy Shoppe theme that was set up at a children’s party venue called Gumbellina’s in Sydney, NSW. It featured jars and jars of sweet candy and other sweet treats. Lola’s two tier cake was inspired by her favourite sherbet sticks in the colours that became the theme for the party – Herbert lemon, pink and orange. The cake was layers of caramel cake with delicious white chocolate frosting. The table also included berry and passionfruit macarons, colour dipped marshmallows, candy and lollipop cookies, cake pops, strawberry sundae and bubblegum cupcakes, and of course loads of sweet candy! The venue was decorated with small vases of delicate baby’s breath and “candy” bouncy balls wrapped in crepe paper. A very sweet party for a very sweet little girl.”
