Vintage Parisian Bridal Shower

This sweet VINTAGE PARISIAN BRIDAL SHOWER was submitted by Jessica Boskoff of Twenty Three Layers.

Here’s what Jessica said about the party- “The theme of this Bridal Shower was Parisian- filled with tulle, lace and pearls. The colors focus on pinks and lavenders. The Dessert table was beautiful, and included different types of delicious desserts all in line with the Parisian Theme. Cake pops, macarons, Fleur Di Lis cookies, cupcakes and pink ombre mini cakes. There was an old vintage jewelry box with a strand of pearls hanging from the outside and a special surprise for the bride inside-a pair of beautiful diamond earrings! In front of the jewelry box were cupcakes in a jar that came with individual spoons so that guests could take it home with them. On the opposite side there was fresh pink lemonade on a stand with glass bottles that included pink paperer straws and custom labels for Emily’s Shower. The bottles were lined up on a white tra y. Hanging above the dessert table were different size tulle pom poms in light shades of pink and lavender.

The Tablescape settings were very feminine and had touches of a tea party. Each setting consisted of a tea cup and saucer, custom love note tags tied to the handle with lace and adorned with a pearl, a custom tea bag with the bride/groom monogram, as well as a pink journal with guests initials engraved on the bottom (teacup sat on top of the journal). Place card holders were quite unique- handmade clay macaroons with a slit for the name card to tuck into. The tables were covered in either a beautiful striped cloth to match the outer banquet cushions or lavender cloths for the center tables to match the beautiful parisian dessert table cloth which was adjacent. There were white milk glass bud vases lining the center of the tables filled with roses. In between the vases there were 2 small white cake stands on each table that had pink swirl cupcakes with edible pearls and handmade real lace cupcake wrappers. For takeaways, in addition to the journals and desserts, there were min i bottles of pink moscato with custom labels, detailed with a bow. Decor around the room included apothecary jars filled with solar rose heads, vintage books and old parisian suitcase boxes which housed the mini bottles of wine.”

A Very Bunny 1st Birthday Party

This charming BUNNY THEMED FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY was submitted by Alex Vardakis of Avie & Lulu in Australia.

I love so many things about this bunny party! It would obviously not only be great for a birthday but would work for a Easter party or a baby shower as well. A few highlights to look for are:

Alex said this about the party- “My third little girl celebrated her first birthday in April and being around Easter we thought what better than to have a gorgeous pastel themed Easter party! It was a garden party with lots of prettiness and lots of fun!

A special appearance by the Easter Bunny himself was a highlight for the kids, as was the real white fluffy bunny which spent the afternoon hoping around.

A beautiful 2 tier Cake was the show stopper of the dessert table. Made by the talented Sweet Tiers it featured a beautiful Bunny figurine topper. All of the guests were amazed it was fondant and many thought it was a real porcelain figurine. Other treats included buttercream ruffled cupcakes in pastel shades of lemon, pink, mint and blue. And the most amazing and detailed Cookies by the super amazing cookie artist Kookie Krumbs by Kirstie. They were like tiny portraits, delicately detailed and definitely too good beautiful to eat! The children’s setting featured rattan chairs which suited the garden feel to a tea.

Each guest received a keepsake hankie designed by Ham&Pea Paperie which featured the Winnie the Pooh quote ‘You are braver then you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think’.”

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you all have a fabulous day! This lovely SHABBY CHIC & LACE BIRTHDAY PARTY reminded me of Mother’s day so I thought it was a perfect feature. The celebration was submitted by Aliza Cohen of Wonderland Parties.

Here’s what Aliza said about the party- “This was actually a photoshoot for a new magazine coming out next month called JCREATE. This magazine was started to promote crafts and creativity for young children. It had been abundantly clear that the children of the generation are part of a technological world where creativity has almost no place except when choosing your next profile name for your newest video game. This magazine was started as a way to revive creativity in the classroom and at home. Its pages are filled with ideas and tips to help get your child off of the couch and into a craft room!

Everything you see in these pictures was handcrafted by our team members. From the ribbon, lace and burlap backdrop to the tablecloth and layered ruffle table skirt, paper wheels and paper fans to the favor bags and cupcake liner pom pom balls. The doily paper cones and the burlap and lace wrapped mason jar vases. We even made the dum dum lollipop flower ball. We also loved the idea of wrapping mason jar pint size glasses with twine and embellishing them with a handcrafted paper flower. All the flowers that you see were handcrafted! From the satin ribbon rosettes to the organza ribbon petal flower. All of the paper flowers were purchased and put together using a hot glue gun and then decorated with lovely little ivory pearls.

We even baked all of the desserts! Which was a first for us because we are definitely not bakers! :) We made cupcakes, cake pops, the two tiered frosted centerpiece cake, chocolate dipped marshmallow sticks and chocolate dipped old fashion candy sticks, garnished with edible pearls.

We sincerely hope that the message you take away from this is that you can create a stunning party on a low budget by making all the decorations by yourself and with your kids!! And remember cut yourself some slack. Some projects may not come out exactly as you had hoped but we’re all human. Move on to the next project,+ no one will know about the ones that never came together.”

Sweet Jane’s Traveling Teahouse Vintage High Tea Party

This precious SWEET JANE’S TRAVELING TEAHOUSE VINTAGE HIGH TEA PARTY was submitted by Kelly Holcroft of Sweet Jane’s Travelling Teahouse (Australia).

Oh my goodness, one look at the adorable pink polkadot “teahouse” traveling trailer and I was in love. What a lovely business…traveling around AU offering high tea services! And what an adorable birthday party at that!

This party is full of ideas. What a gorgeous bridal shower this would be…or a baby shower…or a teenage girl party. The possibilities are endless! Some of my favorite party ideas and elements are:
